UPDATE: Finally have some time to post this update. This group had the audacity to contact one of my agents as we're closing Escrow and claimed "foul play!" It even went to the extent that I had to call my agent plus associated constituents to explain the truth behind what happened! Long story short? Incompetence by this agency, as detailed by my initial review. It was MY decision to go elsewhere and not coerced by a 3rd party since we were urgently trying to meet deadlines. Sky Ins Brokers' excuse of not responding or answering calls when needed DURING business hours was that they had a team meeting during the time that we were trying to contact them. My party did not just attempt ONE day to contact this team of brokers. Besides that, why would you hold an entire team meeting and not have one employee attend to phones throughout the day? Again, subpar professionalism and poor decision making. If simple office tasks are such a difficult chore, I'm certainly glad I didn't complete my transaction related to obtaining insurance through this group. INITIAL: Not sure where all these 5-star reviews are coming from? Well, this is a review from an honest, non-bias, and non-affiliated party that was let down with this group related to obtaining Home Insurance for escrow. We found Sky Insurance through fantastic reviews on both Google and Yelp, so we went with them and even agreed on a Home Insurance quote needed for escrow after working with Rachel, one of their insurance brokers. After our initial working establishment and writeup of the quote, my escrow and lenders have been trying to contact this group without any replies. Now that I'm cleared to close, I have been trying to contact this office with the same results - nobody answering calls and no replies to voicemails and emails. Practically nonexistent! Professional? I absolutely think not. We ultimately had to urgently scramble to find another home insurance agent, someone we could actually get a hold of, and changed up the insurance policy altogether for a cheaper price with similar, if not better, conditions. Do yourself a favor and don't go through what I went through if you're in escrow or in crunch time or have nearing deadlines. Connect with a competent agency. This group isn't it! read more

Told to wait 15 business days. 15th business day is today and was just told by Sky that they've "still heard nothing." Turns out thats a LIE. I have been renting all my life, and am just now buying my first house and I must say that Sky Insurance Brokers showed me the true meaning of a Multi-Policy Discount! Not only was the premium of my new Home Insurance policy lower than $500, but the added discount on top of my current Auto Insurance policy with their Agency was even bigger than the cost of my new policy. This company has missed a new client opportunity. I just had the worst experience trying to reach someone at this company after my online form was not answered from 2 weeks ago. I called today and got the complete run around and those I spoke with did not know how to handle calls or customers. First call the girl that answered was unprofessional and did not handle the call appropriately. I asked if they handled health insurance initially which she did not answer. I asked again, she said yes and would transfer me. A guy answers, I couldn't hear/get his name, etc. I asked who I was speaking with, he said you called me. I explained the call and transfer...he seemed confused. I asked if they had an answering service or a receptionist. He then explained to me how their incoming calls are handled...didn't need all that info. He said they had a live person/receptionist, I said answering services are live people too. At this point it just seemed so unprofessional and bungled. I asked if they all work in an office in Sac or work remotely. He said in office, I said interesting, he said why is that interesting. I said I wondered because of all of the above. Asked if company handles Health insurance, he said yes, but he handles life insurance. He didn't know who in the company handled Health insurance...I was surprised at that. He kept talking instead of getting to the point, I asked if he wanted my name and number to pass it on the appropriate person. He said ok K, have a good day. I felt he disregarded me completely and ended the call this way without reviewing my full name and contact info, which really pissed me off. I called back and got a different "receptionist." Asked if she was located in the Sac office and if they handled health insurance. She said yes and would transfer me to that department. I had to catch her before transfer to give me the name of the person who handles insurance. I was transferred, phone may have rung a few times, but a lengthy time of music played and then it went to a woman's voicemail. She did not state her name, basically said leave a message. What a terrible impression I had with zero help. Employees need training in professional customer service, both persons that answered the call and the Life insurance guy Rich. Employees should state their name on their voicemails. I felt like I was reaching a bunch of amateurs all working remotely who didn't know how to professionally conduct business! read more
