We immediately contacted our insurer, who confirmed that the billing category was incorrect and that a correction was required. The insurance company is still pending the correction, and we have been asked to pay the full amount out of pocket. I will file a formal complaint with the COInsurance Commission To my opinion they do this on purpose to charge people more like Healthcare is not already expensive. **If you're treated at this clinic:** 1. Verify the billing category before signing any paperwork. 2. Ask the front desk or provider to confirm that you are there for urgent care (not emergency) which we did and didnt help 3. (I have also been seen by the others there at times, and they are all great). But Beth is my superhero. I'll give you an example. One time, I had an annual well check/physical appointment scheduled for midday. That morning, I was pushing a heavy chair around (don't ask), and somehow it caught my right big toenail and basically (gross out coming) "flipped" it up off the nailbed at a right angle (yep, straight up). I figured, well, I had a visit scheduled anyway, so I bandaged it up best I could and when I got to the front desk, told them what happened. When I went back, Beth took one look at it and said "Well, this isn't an annual physical anymore!" She immediately pivoted into urgent care mode, numbed me up, and removed the toenail. (Obviously I had to reschedule the physical!). Just last weekend, I came down with a bad cough and wheezing, and on Sunday, I went online to schedule an appt, but the soonest was Tuesday. So I figured, oh well. But in the reason for the appt, I wrote that I was wheezing and coughing. On Monday morning, Beth read that and had the Front Office call me to schedule me in right away. She found a way to squeeze me into her busy schedule. They did an in-house x-ray (didn't know they had that!) which confirmed bronchitis. I was able to start on antibiotics that same day. Also, for what it's worth, everyone there has been there for years - very low turnover, So you have the opportunity to really establish a relationship with these folks.

I was given no treatment plan, no replacement medication, and no stabilization guidance. Only after I left did she call me multiple times asking to "discuss my medication," something that should have been handled during the actual appointment. When I brought in my FAMLI medical leave paperwork, she wrote on it without explaining why, making it unusable. When I asked for it back, she told me she had "written some things on it while talking to the other doctor" and offered to print a new one. The handling of my paperwork felt careless and unprofessional. I left more anxious and confused than when I arrived and will be filing a formal complaint. For anyone needing real mental-health support, I strongly recommend seeking care elsewhere.

We saw Dr. Stacey Parker-Brueggemann who was down to earth and took time to answer all our questions. She spend hours and hours, just like a detective, going through what has been happening with Bob's hemoglobin over time. I believe she has pinpointed the process going on in his body. She did not use the word "cancer" with us, instead she described the process of what is happening with the DNA in Bob's bone marrow. It makes more sense to us, especially with our prayer work, to focus on the symptoms and processes in the body rather than a diagnosis that is an unchanging state of being. Also, the staff has been wonderful to work with. They are friendly and supportive. Truthfully, I walked into the oncology infusion center with dread for Bob's first treatment. To my surprise, it was bright, spacious and everyone was friendly and upbeat. It is a place of hope. Also, the phone support has been wonderful.
