Tastings for $10! They have a bunch of unique flavors as well as staples / crowd favorites. The most memorable ones were their award winners (for a reason) and the pepper one. The staff were knowledgeable and the outside grass sitting area is the best seat in the woodinville area!

Wanted to check how honey wines taste and that's how we ended up here. Recommendation is to sit outside and enjoy the wine and the beautiful views!!! I am not sure if they have any other parking but the one outside the building can accommodate only 6-7 cars.

Went on a sunny Saturday and sat outside after choosing our flight options. There are so many options to consider. I like sweet mead without a lot of extra flavors. We chose Sweet Mead, Sweet Brochet Mead, Solas Honey Wine, Ginger Honey Wine, Cherry Vanilla Honey Wine, and Chamomile. There are nice umbrellas outside with a nice view of the farms below. It's far enough away from the street that you don't feel bombarded by noise. **Sweet Mead: fabulous taste- loved the amount of sweetness and not dry without a bad after taste **Solas Honey: fabulous taste- no bad after taste and would be tasty with dessert **Cherry Vanilla: has a complex taste- maybe too much going on and give a flavor of cough syrup to me **Ginger Honey: great aroma and subtle ginger flavor; not my favorite but not bad; if you enjoy ginger flavor this one would be perfect **Chamomile: aroma like chamomile tea and also tastes like sweet chamomile tea; I don't usually love additional flavors but this one was nice without being overpowering **Sweet Brochet: smells amazing; taste is too sweet with the carmelized honey for my tastes but everyone has different likes; a bit of acidity going down We purchased Solas Honey and Sweet Honey to enjoy another day. If you've never tried mead give this place a try- they have lots of options to try!!

My husband and I were going around to different locations taking advantage of tastings with our tasting pass. We decided to give Sky River Mead a try! With the tasting pass, you get 3 tastings, we both opted to pay an upcharge to get the tasting of 5. There was several different meads to choose from- the server did a great job explaining the tasting profiles of them all. We were able to pick the 5 we wanted to try. Neither of us had tried mead before, and I will say it is a unique taste and very sweet. My favorite was the blackberry. They had a cute little shop with lots of goodies for sale along with different sitting areas. There were some card games too which were fun to play while we sipped! The outdoor space looked super cute and had great views- unfortunately we went on a pretty cold day so we didn't venture out.

Man, I have been wanting to try mead forever! I always drove by this meadery on the way home after a day of wine tasting; yet finally, we visited Sky River Mead on a Saturday and it was a great way to end the day. We called to ask if we needed reservations, which you don't. Therefore, we made sure to visit Sky River Mead last on our way out, as it's located right off of the Woodinville-Redmond road. Plus, it's up on a hill, so you can look out to large fields and Woodinville and watch the sunset with a glass of mead. It's definitely a scenic spot in Woodinville. We tried three different meads, that we got to choose from, which was part of our Woodinville Wine Passport offering. I chose the lavender, rose and dry meads. This was my first time having mead, and I have to say, it was different, but in a good way. Yes, it's sweet from the honey, so would say this is more of a dessert. Of all the meads, I liked the lavender the best. I love anything lavender, so was happy to learn they had a mead of that here. It was abundant in flavor. The rose was also nice, as it was fragrant. And the dry mead wasn't as sweet as the others, which I quite enjoyed. I encourage anyone who's never had mead to check out Sky River Mead, for it has a long menu of different flavors to try. We sat out on the lawn, which looked out to Woodinville. This is one of the better tasting rooms in Woodinville, as the hill location cannot be beat, especially when you want to find a place to just relax in a lawn chair and drink. Plus, it's dog-friendly and they even offer treats for your fur babies! Love that. I'll definitely be back for the wonderful meads and welcoming setting.

Absolutely loved this cute little mead-winery. Amazing mead and even amazing views of the rolling hills. Of the 5 we tasted, we loved Solas the best and we made sure to get a bottle! The host explained how meads are made it was interesting to know the wine is made from just honey, yeast and water! No grapes! Makes for a great dessert wine. She said we could even make cocktails with it. A must try mead-winery (meadery?) if you like dessert wines.

Easily one of the best Woodinville spots on your next visit! The mead here is delicious and they have such a variety, there is something for everyone. When we went there were 12 tastings to pick from. A flight consists of 5 tastings (passport is 3 tastings). Very relaxing atmosphere with seating inside and outside. Probably the most relaxing area to hang out at in Woodinville. Niki was great! Really enjoyed her during our visit!

While I am not a fan of mead in general, I think those that do would really enjoy sky river mead. The best part had to be the atmosphere, which one of the best views in Woodinville and a tone of great yard games that would make this a great spot to hang out with friends. The staff is really friendly and they have plenty of space outside that are well spaced out. The mead was a bit too sweet for me but since I haven't had much to compared it too, I imagine that is jus those mead is so take that with a grain of salt.

Highly recommend to get a flight. There are so many to choose from but, I am sure you will find your favorite :)

A beautiful view of Woodinville from here! The grounds are very spacious to do tastings. You go inside, select the mead(s) you'd like to taste, and then pick a place to sit. Outside there are plenty of chairs and fire pits with logs scattered about so you can feed the fires yourself if they get low. Of the 6 meads samples, I'd recommend the hoppy mead. As a first time mead drinker, mead was very sweet for me and this one was more palatable for someone who is used to drier beverages!

Went here with the Passport to Woodinville and left after purchasing a bottle of mead! The atmosphere was very cosy, and it was delicious mead!

This is such a great find! Not sure how we didn't know about it before. Came in for a tasting, left with 7 bottles! Fantastic taste, really cozy location, and very reasonably priced. A must visit

Super fun, kind of hidden, cute spot!…read more I've always seen the sign but never came in until this past week with a few friends! This was my first time trying mead and I really liked a lot of them! The bubbly ones on tap were lighter and really yummy! I definitely like sweeter drinks, so the dessert ones (black magic and isilu shadow) were high on my list. They had lots of flavors with most of them being fruity. There are a few options for flights, and the choice to try every single flavor! The actual indoor area was pretty small, with only enough room for the bar, one table for 6 and a little bar top seat, and the bathroom. Because of the size, the bathroom is literally 2 feet away from the table and is inside a sliding door that does not fully seal shut. It was decently loud inside with the music playing but definitely not the place to go if you need privacy in the bathroom. They had another couple tables (2/3?) outside but it's tucked in a narrow alley so it was pretty tight out there as well. There is a stack of games to play inside and it has great decor! Overall, the drinks, vibes, and service were great! We had 7 people and completely filled the inside of the shop, so I would recommend a smaller group. The shop is down a narrow set of stairs between 2 building and another few stairs from the door down to the bar. I'm not sure if there is another entrance, so I believe this would be inaccessible for someone who was unable to use stairs. 4/5! Would definitely come here again and recommend to someone who wants to try something new! Very hidden spot type place!

I am…read morenot much of a drinker but I have been told that I would love Mead because it is so sweet. The few times I have tried it, I enjoyed it, so I wanted to explore that. When you arrive, you will see a sign directing you to the rear of the building. There is plenty of parking. The meadery is well decorated and welcoming. They have large tables and small ones and a more cozy couch type seating area with a fireplace. They had lots of table games on offer and signs for D&D (another thing I know nothing about but my son loves). I really enjoyed the music they were playing and the ambiance was lovely. The flight is $12 before tip end you get six different needs to taste. Currently they are: Traditional, Cherry, Blackberry, Blueberry, Bearskal and Dragon's Blood. I enjoyed the traditional mead but it was much less sweet than any I had tried before, which makes sense as it was listed at a sweetness of 3 out of 10. The other samples were earthy and tart and tasted like fruit wines I have tried but again much less sweet. The highest sweetness on the flight was 6/10 but that seemed high to me based on what I experienced. I actually found the 3/10 original to be sweeter than any of the others. I am sure, especially based on the reviews here, that to alcohol connoisseurs they are delicious, but as I said, I have a novice palate and they were just not for me. When I returned the flight and went to pay, the young lady working asked me if I liked them and I answered honestly. She explained to me based on what I was saying that I would enjoy much sweeter, more honey based meads and gave me a taste of a peach mead they were almost out of. I quite liked it. She also said it sounded like I would prefer meads on tap as opposed to bottled and now I have a much better idea of what to look for in the future. I had a nice time here and appreciate the opportunity to experience the different meads and learn in a friendly environment. I would gladly come back again, especially when they have some sweeter meads on tap :)

Lots of sunny and shaded outdoor seating with some on a patio and some out on the lawn with picnic tables, or inside the building. The atmosphere alone makes this a standout with the Italian music and barrel room making you feel like you are overseas. The owner is super friendly and will have a good conversation with anyone that wants one, and when it wasn't during covid, they use to have chocolate snacks that really went well with the wine. The wine itself is amazing as well and I can't think of one I didn't like. We visited Icon Cellars, as we learned that it was one of the wineries that opened in phase 1.5 and was also on our Woodinville Wine Passport. I read that Icon Cellars takes reservations, so was able to call in and make a reservation for the late afternoon for my boyfriend and me. Located in the north industrial area of Woodinville, it's one of the wineries in the plaza, right on the corner. The A-frame sign on the street helped us find it. We wanted to sit outside since we had our dog with us, and there were two chairs already set up right outside the room. After we checked in with the owner, Jim, we each did a tasting. We started with a rose and then had four reds. All of the wines were awesome! The reds were full-bodied and bold, which is how I like my wine. And Jim gave generous pours, so we were definitely feeling it midway! Of all the reds we had, we bought a bottle of the dolce tempo, which is a mix of an Italian varietal and tempranillo. You get a lot of the peppery punch from the dolce, but a smooth, fruit-forward taste from the tempranillo. It was very unique in reds I've had before; it's definitely a must. The tasting room has a few tables inside, in addition to the two outdoor chairs set up. In fact, the patio chairs are very nice to sit in because on the arm rests is a hole that holds up your wine glass! Genius. As mentioned, dogs are allowed and you can bring your own food. Parking is easy to find, with the shared lot out front along with the other businesses in the plaza. Glad to have checked out Icon Cellars for their bold reds!

The space for this meadery is small and there isn't really a place to sit and enjoy the mead but as far as I'm concerned taking it home is just fine too! One of the bottles we got was the Serenity which was a blackberry mead that had a great aroma and tartness to it! The other bottle we bought I think was my favorite, the Bloody Bog.This great mead had blood oranges in it and locally crafted cranberries that were grown in Long Beach, WA.
