My son and his girlfriend went to buy trailer. Did EVERYTHING and signed the papers. A week later ( 1 week before they were suppose to pick it up) they told them they wouldn't finance them and they no longer could get it. Just wanted to take a moment to acknowledge some customer service at Sky River RV from Stan in the Service / Parts department that was awesome. As new RV owners we had just finished a pre-purchase inspection at Sky River. We were hitching up to head out ( we were obvious newbies ) When Stan saw us having difficulty he came out and offered to help. It was now past 5 pm quitting time and everyone was headed home. After hitching us up and showing us how it was done Stan asked if we had a "braking system" for the trailer... on discovering we did not Stan offered to stay, install the trailer brake controller for us. He explained it was not legal to pull without one, but, most importantly, it was highly unsafe and he could not see us head out on the road like that. Stan stayed late, installed the system for us, and explained its operation so we could tow safely. He did not have to do this. He could have just gone home like everyone else and let us head out. We never would have known different. It is people like Stan that make a business stand out. This was service "above and beyond". Stan is a good man. Thank you Stan. Purchased my RV there in 2017. That experience was great, got a great deal, delivery was great. I've had it serviced there with no problems each year since, with the exception of this year. Place has really gone downhill. Constant turnover of employees. No one is able to answer simple parts or service questions. Always say they'll call you back and never do. I cannot stress enough that the sales staff IS NOT TO BE TRUSTED. I was sitting on this bike with cash in hand, willing to pay the full asking price. I showed up 15 minutes earlier than I said I would. Eric, a salesman came out and explained to me that the bike sold over the phone to a man using a credit card from LA just 5 minutes before Eric approached me. He then promised me that if the sale fell through, I would be the first person contacted. Half hour later the bike was reposted for an extra $1000.00. When I contacted Jeremy another salesman about the bike, stating that I would pay the extra $1000.00 and explained the previous days going's on he waited over two hours to tell me that the bike had sold this morning. I'm willing to bet it's still there and the price has gone up again. It's practices like this that make us all not trust salespeople. I've even bought an RV from them before and am appalled at the treatment of a repeat customer or any customer for that matter. Please consider buying your RV or anything else from ANYWHERE else. My wife and I have been looking for quite some time at purchasing a new travel trailer. The preference is to buy closer to home, but nobody here could match the price Sky River could offer. Best price is always the first thing we work with, so that got us connected. But we also wanted a dealership that was responsive, forthcoming, and made us feel we aren't being taken advantage of. We got connected with Brian Jansen at Sky River. And he was great, beginning to end. Paso Robles is a long way from where we live. And it's a bit unnerving buying something sight unseen. We knew the model very well, and you can look at pictures, and you a hope when you get there what you get is what you expected. And it was. The camper is awesome, Brian was always quick to respond to anything. Personally check out whatever we asked, send pics, you name it. But the whole crew we dealt with there was very friendly and responsive. Everything was ready as expected, Anything to be added on was addressed immediately. They spend a lot of time with you making sure everything meets expectations. Had people there on Sunday so we could pick it up when it worked best for us. Best customer service I've seen at any sort of dealership in a long time. Felt a bit more like dealing with friends than dealing with sales people. Don't get me wrong, you know they are in the business of selling. But it felt more like making sure we were happy than pushing to sign on the dotted. Billy and Andy were great too. In summary it was well worth a few hundred miles drive to get great pricing in customer service of that caliber. read more

I took my RV in for repair for several items. Over all I am pleased with the work they did. we had a disagreement with the billing but we were able to resolve this issue very much to my satisfaction. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I am not giving them a five because I had problems getting someone to return my calls to the point I had to go in to talk to someone to get an update. We purchased a 2022 Wildwood at Sky River Expo event in Oct 2021. We were so excited! This was to be one of many trailer purchases we hoped to make for a large ranch, but our purchase has turned into a nightmare experience. We never got a chance to use the trailer because soon after delivery, we noticed major structural issues causing the exterior doors to be warped and misaligned. Not one door on this trailer will stay shut. All doors must be key locked or they will "pop" open leaving the interior of the trailer exposed to the elements. We were quietly informed that our unit had apparently "missed quality check". We were also told that there were other trailers with the same problems. You have some fantastic and honest service techs working for Sky River - I only wish I could say the same for the service department manager, who preferred to brush these issues off. In addition, the mattress is too large for the bed frame, creating a fall hazard. Once again one of the service techs measured the mattress we received and let us know that what we have is a "long queen" and the bed is a standard queen. So many other little things popped up as we sat looking at a locked up trailer we could not use. Our factory warranty deadline approached and no one seemed to care! We were told in an email, "not to worry, just enjoy the trailer!" How could we "enjoy" a trailer we can't use? The warranty deadline has now passed and the trailer is still sitting in service at Sky River where it has been for weeks. We have no assurances and have lost all trust that it will be repaired properly. How could we even begin to know what other potential problems we might encounter when we have not turned on the systems or even removed the sales stickers? Which brings up another worry. We paid an additional $1,762.00 for an application of Celajet, a surface protection product recommended by Sky River for the exterior. When a service tech, onsite taking photos of the warped doors asked if we wanted him to remove the many large exterior manufacturer stickers (which of course we would) I realized surface protection would be ruined, and should never have been applied over the stickers. This is just one example but there are others. We had agreed that certain options could be added within the price, but after the sale closed Sky River was just too busy for us. Suddenly any items we wished to "add on" to financing needed to be paid for in cash. We paid several thousand more out of pocket for add ons we were told were necessary and we are waiting for the cost of a major solar upgrade we wanted to add. The new owner of Sky River states in his website video that he is committed "to raise the bar and change our expectations". We welcomed that opportunity! Completely disillusioned with our initial trailer purchase - which is still sitting, never used, in Sky River's service facility, we decided to give Sky River another chance by agreeing to consider a "trade in". We made an appointment with the sales manager and found a suitable vehicle to buy (double the price of the one we purchased). Imagine our shock when we were offered 13k LESS than we had paid for our original 2022 trailer towards this new purchase! read more

When we started looking for an RV we were told we would get a call back on a deal or was provided with empty promises. Sales people along the coast are different then what I am used to, no one wants a sale now a days. We lost hope and were going to drive out south 5 hours until we met Greg. He made the deal work, but he was not a sales rep. Wish we started looking for our RV in Paso Robles first that is when we met Billy. Billy was the first Sales Rep. at Sky River RV that showed customer services along the coast to us and wish we could have closed out our sale there, but because we stared looking in Santa Maria we had to finish the sale at Santa Maria location instead. Josh also was a great help at the Pismo location and was very helpful when he was covering at Santa Maria location for grand opening. Nilton was great in financing and Taz did our walk through. I wish the process would have been a lot smoother than what it was but happy that we were able to leave with an RV that fits our needs and did not have to drive out five hours to another dealership. I hope no issues come up and putting my faith in Jayco brand that no issues will arise. read more

We pulled into the Sky River lot with our RV on a holiday weekend after experiencing a hitch problem. We are newbies at the art of towing, and haven't mastered the techniques nor equipment. Upon entering the store the staff asked how are you doing, to which we responded "stressed" and told them our tale of a hitch that didn't feel quite right and a fear of safety. Out came David, a service person, to take a look and agreed it was not safe or correct. Despite being initally stumped by the problem, David found a solution and repair followed. He also provided suggestions to update some of the older towing equipment for added safety. The entire staff were friendly, and curious, and overall very helpful. The repair cost was high, but willing to pay for safety. Thank you David, your willingness to help was exceptional! read more

Don't bother with this place! I have a class A Motorhome that they are an authorized dealer for and was in Pismo, I needed some service, called them to see if I could get in to have it looked at, they said they were booking appointments for November, this was August! What a joke! I've been in there place in Pismo for some fluids to top off system with and felt like I got my pockets ripped off, the Pismo Shop isn't an authorized dealer. When I was looking for my Class A I stopped in and looked at the meager selection, there prices were way too high as well. read more

Bought a used 2016 travel trailer from Sky River...bought in Atascadero and it was transferred to Paso Paso Robles to be inspected. They supplied 2 2014 batteries (original) and they quickly went dead. Dead awning switch, fuse box fell out of the wall upon transfer, water leak in bathroom sink and more. No owners manual. Service Dept is really bad. Alex the salesman at the Atascadero location is awesome and bending over backwards to try to help! They need their own service Dept in Atascadero and I'm very sure things would have been much different. The septic was 1/3 full!!!! read more

So a month ago I wrote a not so good review about sky River rv . We have a brand new rv from Sky River. from the first trip out we had a pump problem. Finally after 3 times of taking it back to them for this problem they were finally able to find the issue and repair our new RV. After the third time out in our new rv the awning came away from the rv. This we have found out seems to be a manufacturing problem and we know of three other people that have had this happen to them. Manufacturers not installing them property. We are now hitting the two month mark for sky river fixing our awning! my husband called the awning manufacturer and was told they are not back logged, and from ordering to shipping is only 48 to 72 hours! 2 months we have been waiting for Sky River! Sky River tells us they must go through the RV Manufacturer for the warranty. We did not buy our new RV from the manufacturer! We brought it from Sky River and they need to take care of their customers! 2 months way too long when the awning manufacturer can have it to Sky River in one week. My husband and I have our own manufacturing company for over 30 years and would never treat our customers this Way! If you the owner have to go around the system and pay for something out of your own business pocket to take care of your customers you do it. As i said in my first yelp review all Sky River cares about is selling their inventory !once you drive it out of their lot if you have any problems even through it under warranty they poorly take care of you. They called us and asked us to fix our last review because they finally fixed the pump issues and I told the service manger well what about the broken awning and was promised they order it and would get it taken care of quickly! Well I don't know how most people would feel about buying a new RV and being treated this way and having to wait this long for a easy repair that they could have said the manufacturer is taking way too long for the warranty we will just go around them and get it. We are talking about $500. We are in our 60's and have brought rvs with other dealers and have never! Had any problems with them taking great care of their customers. i do not recommend you buying from Sky River I know we never will again read more

Brought my rv here for them to check on issues I've been having. The only good part of this visit was the person at the front desk, Gabby, who's always very friendly and pleasant. I spoke with Erin (service advisor) on the phone and scheduled an appointment to drop off my rv on Wednesday so their technicians can check the issues. I told Erin all the issues I've had with my brand new rv and that I spoke with the Volta technicians (John and Eric) several times and they told me to bring my rv to a service center so they can work with the technicians there and resolve the issues. I asked him if they have Volta's phone number and he said they do. Erin called me on Friday and told me that they updated the auto start and the rest of the issues I told him about were fine. I told him that those issues need to be fixed and reminded him that I've had those issues for several weeks now and the Volta technicians told me they need to be fixed. Erin assured me that their technicians talked to Steve, the Volta technician, and they were told that the auto start update should take care of all those issues and my rv is ready for pick-up. I told Erin that Steve is not a Volta technician. I told him that Steve works at Intermotive which is different from Volta. He sounded confused and I have to insist that his technicians call Volta (either John or Eric) and work with them about the issues. He said he'll check with his technicians. He called me back after a few minutes and said that his technicians said they spoke with Steve from Volta. I told him again that Steve doesn't work at Volta. I told him I've spoken to Steve (who works at Intermotive) and John and Eric (who work at Volta) and they're not from the same company. I repeated myself several times but Erin didn't seem to understand me. It was like talking to a wall! How hard is it to understand that Volta and Intermotive are 2 different companies and they have their own technical support. I don't understand why the Sky River RV technicians don't know who they were talking to. Don't they know that the phone number they called wasn't Volta's? It's just unbelievable! I called Steve and told him that the technicians at Sky River RV think he works at Volta and kept referring to him as the Volta technician. Steve sounded surprised and said he only helped them to update the module of the auto start. I told him how frustrated and annoyed I was because the service advisor and technicians don't seem to understand that they have to call Volta's technical support because Steve does not work for Volta. He said he'll call them himself. Erin called me on Saturday morning and said that Steve from Volta (again! - even after I told him a million times that Steve does not work for Volta!) called his technicians and now they have a better understanding of the issues. He said his technicians can work on my rv on Monday so I can leave my rv or pick it up and bring it back. I picked up my rv on Saturday morning after I worked Friday night. I was tired and sleepy but I just wanted my rv back. I can't imagine dealing with Erin and his technicians anymore! I wasted time and money with them! I left my rv with them for 3 days and rented a car so I can go home and after 3 days, the only thing they did was update the module of the auto start. That update could have been done in less than a day. This is the worst experience I ever had with a service center! It's so annoying and frustrating!!! I can't believe I've had this horrible experience with Sky River RV when my first 2 visits there were good. read more

I went in to Sky River to check about getting my Toy Hauler washed and UV protection for the roof. The lady behind the parts counter acted like I was putting her out, she was rude and less than polite. She gave me a price for the wash. I asked what about the UV, she said (rudely) it's not on there, pointing at the sheet on the wall behind the counter. I said back to her, pretty rudely myself, I'm not back there so I didn't know. She said I would need to talk to the other lady when she gets back from lunch. I asked if she had a name and number for the other lady, she sounded like a tire going flat as she reached for a card. I said, never mind I'll look it up I feel like I've put you to way too much trouble already. On the way out I stopped up front and talked to a manager and explained the problem. He took my number and said I would get a call. I did get a call about two hours later. No apology, just a "I hear you want to make an appointment to get your RV washed. We are booking about a month out." I said not really the phone call I was expecting, I'll think about it. The story goes way deeper than this but this is the short version. Rude, no help, don't care about customer service, don't care about your business, find some place else to spend your money. I can't believe people spend their money on advertising to get people into their business just to run them off. read more

I have to say that the sales area is pretty good however their service area is horrible. Their hours suck and they won't be flexible on trying to work with you. We had to get our r.v. up to date for HD on our box for the tv and the satellite to work. After spending over $500.00 for this, when my husband picked it up the cables were on the outside hanging down to connect the tv and the box. What a joke who does this. They told us that they weren't told to hide the wires and if we want them to correct it this would cost extra, well shit we shouldn't have to tell them how to do their job. So now when we get home we have to connect it the right way. What kind of service is this. Very disappointed we should have taken the r.v. to the person who did our satellite dish but we thought we should take this to the experts. I guess we were wrong. read more

Zero star service. I know everyone is impacted due to Coronavirus but they have awful customer service. 5 weeks for an appt to replace a door handle. At the service department for 4 weeks to tell us we needed a new door handle. Ordered new door handle said would take 3 weeks. After calling and bugging them for days after 3 weeks they received it. When I pulled up the tracking number it had been there for over 8 days. New appt to install door handle 8 weeks. I purchased my Rv there I would not buy anything or trust them with my Rv ever!!!. Now to top it off it is the wrong part.. a local locksmith fixed our handle within 30 min. read more

I give two stars because Ken the sales person was so kind. Understand we had gone in with cash in hand to purchase at the advertised price pending answering our legitimate questions. There were no answers and no one seemed to know anything about it, no paperwork you'd expect to see on a sale of this magnitude. So I did a self exploration of the equipment. For a new used unit it was in pretty rough shape. We booked an appointment to see it and yet it was not ready to be shown. No prep whatsoever. They couldn't even tell me what equipment the chassis had on it with any certainty. It's been advertised on their YouTube channel for two months. I went home, with the vin number, looked it up myself. But as happened last time we were there two years ago it had already been sold and our time was wasted. The one two years ago turned out not to have been sold and it sat on their lots for several more months rotating through their other locations where we saw it sitting. But hey! They have other units they want to sell me. read more

We just purchased a beautiful RV from Sky River Paso Robles. They were very helpful. Our sales people were Manny and Dominic. Both guys were friendly and happy to serve us. We had been mostly looking online for what we wanted in a new RV. We decided to look here and purchased after finding a great selection and good prices. We did have a small issue with not getting the hand crank for our stabilizer jacks. We contacted Manny, then Dominic, then Manny again. Third time was a charm! Manny had the part overnighted just in time for our camping trip. Keeping our fingers crossed for a smooth camping experience with no issues.
