My Stay - Mid September - Solo -…read more Pets NOPE SO I left puppy and my nephews while visiting Ft Collins. I decided to extend my visit with my family and take a little road trip to steamboat and I am so glad that I did. It is a wonderful little town. I had a fantastic time. Location - excellent! Close to lots of fun stuff... if I were staying in steamboat I would either stay right Downtown or in this location if I were going to be snowboarding! There was a really good bike rental place nearby downstairs and a couple of great restaurants. This is at the base of the mountain that has the lifts up to the top for the sunset Happy Hour THAT I MISSED boo bc it wasn't going on Thursday's only Sunday. Food/Drink - great bar and they have a little store coffee shop on site that had lots of stuff. I wish in ate more then breakfast BECAUSE my BK was so great I loved it bacon / biscuits and gravy all cooked perfectly and the bar was good and open late bc of the conference going on. Rooms... ok meh I can say for the price I paid I super scored bc I paid 198.00 for a 5-700 or more a night room but I was there off season on a Tuesday/ Wednesday. It probably goes for 1200.00 during season. It was very very clean and had a cabin feel to it. I liked the Coffee Service and I thought the closet space was great. It was a one bedroom condo. I liked the bathroom and I thought that amenities were all satisfactory but nothing really blew me away. I especially hated the TV situation because a resort like this, not to have any streaming like you can't have any Netflix or anything like that, but I don't know. I guess it wasn't that big of a deal in hindsight. Business center : there really isn't one??? I had to work while I was there and I was really disappointed for resort of this size not to have anywhere to work. There was a little Eating / dining area off of the coffee shop little store thingy, but it was very uncomfortable Internet : I had absolutely no problems with the Internet during my stay. It was very fast and efficient. Shuttle: they had a great on-site shuttle that you could download an app and just have the shuttle take you wherever you wanted to go pretty much. It goes I think from like 10 to 10 at night or maybe 10 to 9 I also got an Uber one night and it came really fast. Wine store downstairs around the corner: man I wish I knew about this. I only discovered it on my second night and there's a really really great wine store with a good selection. Fun Things I did : I took a balloon trip that was fantastic. I loved it and couldn't recommend it anymore and the location is about seven minutes from the hotel. It's a must do. I rented an electric bike and rode that Downtown and went shopping and visited some happy hours along the river and that was an exceptional day. I loved it and I discovered this restaurant that was my favorite restaurant there of all the restaurants called Laundry, I live in Newport Beach CA - if this was in my neighborhood I would be a frequent flyer lol!! Riverside Restaurants/Happy Hour: This city does a proper happy hour lol all the restaurants participate and I especially enjoyed visiting all of the restaurants along the river! My fav was E3 chophouse - the outside was really beautiful Hat Store: I know random right!! "Steamboat Hatter" ... I've never wanted a hat more than the hats I saw in the store and on their Instagram page, but to custom order one it takes about three months they do have a lot of stock and a lot of options in store. It was just kind of pricey and I wasn't prepared to sell out all that cash, but I feel like a hat from this place is on my list of things to do in my life lol... I also stayed an extra night at a cheap motel that I really loved in downtown too that allows pets I would probably stay at next time I visit. OVERALL: grateful to have stayed at such a nice place during the Fall, the place was great and one thing I forgot to mention is that all of my interactions with the staff were exceptional and that goes a long way!! One of the best features is the shuttle service to the ski area and downtown that is provided using an app. It is super easy and convenient and perfect for guests who don't have a car. Finally, all of the staff are really helpful and friendly and I highly recommend staying here.

I still remember the phrase "Champagne Powder" from back in the day, and the light, dry snow and beautiful aspen tree skiing lived up to the billing. I was young and pretty clueless about the broader ski world when I first visited, but with many more years and places since, I appreciate even more how welcoming, unpretentious, and genuinely Western Steamboat felt. I've been fortunate to visit in both winter and summer, and the town is remarkably special in either season. Winter brings the skiing, while some of my favorite summer memories are tubing down the Yampa River and going to the rodeo, experiences that make Steamboat feel like much more than a ski resort. It has been a long time since my last visit, and the mountain has clearly evolved considerably since then. Still, the combination of spectacular terrain, Western heritage, and an unusually warm sense of place is what has stayed with me. Highly recommended.

We have a 45" fifth wheel can had no problem getting it into our 'lake front' site. This place only offers 30 AMP service at your site. They do have a decent water and dump station so that worked out well. There's NO trees or here. The lake is pretty and the honestly it seemed like people were really enjoying themselves. We picked this spot because we wanted to be by the lake but also have Kremmling and Steamboat nearby. Overall a good stay.

We have been coming to this campground for years. we love to fish but in recent years wake boats…read morehave taken over the lake making fishing from a small boat dangerous and paddle boarding impossible. Shore fishing isn't much better because of the two foot waves ripping up the shoreline and muddying the waters. Since the wake boats rent the marina slips and buy the 6 dollar a gallon gas the damage they do to the shoreline and the fishermen they drive away can only be a profit incentive by the vender who operates the campground and lake. And since there is absolutely no enforcment of rules on the lake, it's a free for all!

DO NOT RENT…read moreFROM VACASA OR WATERSTONE 41 AT EAGLE RIDGE DIRTY, STINKY CARPETS Sadly, the carpets were dirty, stained, not vacuumed and they smelled. When we walked into the door, the odor was so strong, we thought it was a smoking unit. It was a sad moment after driving so long to get there. HAIR AND BROWN DEBRIS IN JACUZZI There was hair in the tub prior to me using it so I washed it myself with what I had - hot water and dish soap. When I turned on the jacuzzi, the jets shot a disturbing amount of brown debris into the water. This is 100% avoidable if you clean the jets and totally disgusting if you're sitting in a bathtub. GARAGE It was nice to have a garage. SLIPPERY UNCOMFORTABLE COUCH The couch is one of those leather or pleather couches where the seat cushions slowly slide out while you're sitting on them. This might be relaxing to a 4 year old. LACK OF COMFORTERS The bed in the master bedroom was comfortable but the bedding should be more substantial on all of the beds. It's winter in the mountains. There should be thick, warm comforters on all of the beds. OLD APPLIANCES Appliances need to be updated. POOL AND HOT TUB Were closed 30-45 early. STAFF WAS UNRESPONSIVE There were only 3 of us. At the time we were booking a rental, Vacasa had several smaller properties (Lodge C, Lodge B, Lodge F etc) listed as available through Booking and Priceline. We booked LODGE C and received a letter from Vacasa saying the rental we had booked was not available. They offered to put us up in a condo 3x bigger and that cost almost 2X as much plus a minuscule discount. The rental looked decent in the photographs and we had no other options at that point, we had been traveling all day with a child and it was late so we took it. I reached out to Vacasa and received no response. Vacasa should have offered us the same rate esp. considering the state of the unit which was unclean and stinky. Later that night and every night after that, I noticed that they still had their smaller more moderately priced units listed as available when they were not actually available. I am concerned that this might be a way to lure people in to rent the larger, more expensive units and I'm not sure that's legal. What I do know is it's a terrible way to start a vacation. It is unfortunate that Vacasa did not respond to our concerns. At the very least, they could have told us where the vacuum and cleaning supplies were and offered real compensation to remedy this situation. As someone who has managed family vacation rentals for almost 20 years, this whole lodging experience was terrible and it didn't need to be, at all. Additionally, I am writing to the BBB and FTC because I'm not certain that they weren't leaving those unavailable rentals up to lure people w/false advertising.

Take the shuttle up there - it was a piece of cake getting picked up from our resort. You do need goggles but they have extras available to borrow. Our guide Dylan was AWESOME! We made a few stops along the trail including in the middle of a gorgeous forest and a lookout of the mountains and continental divide. You do not need any prior snowmobile experience. I haven't driven a jet ski in twenty years and this was not difficult. We brought our kids who could sit on the back easily and had a great time. Super fun family activity and absolutely worth the cost. We had nice weather but bundle up if it's snowing - I can see how this would be super chilly.
