This is our first trip to Steamboat Springs and we were pleasantly surprised to find Seedz! It is a fresh, Asian inspired menu of great food!! We had the lettuce wraps for an appetizer. The added chicken had such a yummy lightly spicy taste and it came with cucumber, carrot, cabbage, and jasmine rice. My husband ordered the ramen with the brisket in a curry and it was delicious! I ordered the salmon with rice noodles & veggies in a citrus yuzu sauce and that was so good! We didn't have dessert as we were pleasantly full and felt very happy. Such a charming little place right in downtown Steamboat with cool vibes, great service, and yummy food! We loved the guacamole with spirulina to start. The tofu was nice and crunchy but didn't have much flavor apart from the sauce that was on the salad so I added some sriracha. A couple of us got the aloha plate with selection of protein. I got the chicken curry with mine. All of us thought the portion of meat was small at only about a cup of protein and even less rice. My other friends got the yakisoba which they have had on special for a year because everybody loves it so much and the hash. Those portion sizes were decent. Wow, what a fantastic place for a healthy meal (lunch or dinner). Full table service with indoor and outdoor seating. Cheesy Kim-chi queso was tasty with three large slices of baguette. Entrees we tried were the Veggie potato dumpling "hash", Korean Cashew Noodle and Spring Noodle salad. All dishes were large servings; none of us could finish. I think even if we didn't order the appetizer we would not have been able to finish the generous portions. Overall good, not giving five stars because: the hash is not a hash at all, more like a stir fry. Honestly, it's gnocchi with veggies (albeit very good). The food was fresh and very tasty, a bit overpriced even with the large portions. Honestly, I think cutting back the portions by a 1/4 would not be unreasonable. I know, weird thing to mention but I hate to see food go to waste. We did take leftovers back to our Airbnb, and yet... (note: the take away containers are NOT microwave safe). It's a must try! During my 4 day stay in Steamboat I ate here 3 times. I initially was drawn to the menu because it seemed the healthiest place to eat in town but upon dining there it is some of the best food around. I really wanted to love Seedz, but had such a weird experience here. Maybe I caught them on an off day since the other reviews seem completely different. I stopped by at around 11:00 for breakfast and was seated outside. My server seemed a bit irritated about something, and it made it awkward for me to interact with her. I ordered the veg head boat. When my dish was brought out, I was not offered ketchup, hot sauce, etc., and then my server disappeared, so I ended up getting it myself. The staff brought out what appeared to be a sturdy knife with my sandwich, but the knife was so incredibly flimsy that the blade was swaying as I tried to cut through my bread, almost like a rubber knife. After a few minutes of failed attempts, I ended up ripping my sandwich apart with my hands (not something I'd recommend ordering on a date or business meal!). The food was just okay and a little bland. About two bites into my meal, the server brought the check. This made me feel really uncomfortable and rushed, despite just having gotten my food. The table next to me was asking the server some questions (what sides come with which dish, how a certain dish is cooked, etc.), and I overheard the server say "I don't know" to every single question. I know there's a lot of turnover in the industry right now due to COVID, so I'm giving Seedz the benefit of the doubt that this was a one-off experience possibly just due to newer staff, hence 3 stars instead of 2. read more
