I was visiting when the tech came in and asked me if I could take care of the mess that I had gone to get her to clean up. The patients have NO way to call for help other than hollering until someone happens to come in. When I asked about this, they told me "we check on them". I was there for 4 hours, and no one came in. The meals are HORRIBLE. I stayed to enjoy a meal with her, and no one at the table could eat the meal. None of us could even figure out what it was, broccoli with a brown gravy stuff on it.

The medical faculty, staff and residents were so sweet, caring and showed so much compassion, and the facility was kept so clean. I also told her that she was going to have 24/7 care from an outside agency. After I drove the 26 mile one way trip and sat down with this representative, she tells me that Las Palomas would NOT allow my wife to reside their due to "liability" issues. Really? She could have had the decency to call me in advance to save me the 52 mile round trip plus my time and inconvenience. Totally unprofessional! People like that do not belong in any customer relations capacity.
