Kids had fun but the faculty is soooooo dirty! bathrooms have no soap, floor is soaking wet, TP all over the floor! I told a employee who said "we dont have anyone who can clean them sorry" 5 employees were standing chatting. If you can't maintain your faculties you shouldn't be open! there are sooooo many kids here and I have seen 50 people go into the bathroom that mean NO ONE is using soap, everyone walked through what I can hope is just water on the bathroom floor, while dodging the TP on the floor. I just want to leave a 5 star review for Abby(hope that's how you spell it) and Nick! They made our visit so enjoyable!! First off my husband bought this holiday coupon book and we had three jumpers today! Abby figured out how to use the coupons so we got all three jumpers for only $8 for a whole hour!!! This was the best experience ever! I was so shocked on the price. She was so nice!! Then I went to get everyone waters and Nick was so funny and just great spirit all around! The facilities are not bad but the staff is in need of some retraining. It took me about 20 mins to check in a 5 yr old and 3 yr old. I had to explain three times that I was just an observer and wasn't jumping. She tried charging for me in the end regardless of my clarification(s). When we're first arrived I told her twice that we were not members but were in the system. After about 10 mins of her starting silently at the computer she asked for help from a fellow associate stating that I said we were members but she couldn't find us. I had to explain to her again that I had been there a few times before and had signed the waiver but we were not members. I also showed her our one out of socks and said I'd need another pair for my 3 yr old girl. After trying to charge me 60 bucks for 2 kids I had to explain to her that I needed 1 pair of socks and again that I wasn't jumping. After asking her if 60 bucks sounded right for my two kIds she looked back at the computer and it was reduced to $34.00. She ended up giving my kids the wrong colored wrist bands and we had to come back while she took off and reapplied the correct ones. All in all if one of these happened no big deal but they should really have better trained staff working their front desk. read more

This review is for their birthday venue not for a normal jump. I had been planning this party down to the last detail for a month. I was more than prepared. When we checked in at 9:30 we were told they changed their systems and they had accidentally booked another party at the same time for the same room. I never received a phone call regarding this and neither did the other party. In short, one party was going upstairs and one party was in the room. The other party graciously accepted to go upstairs otherwise I would have lost my temper. Check-in process was not efficent.... luckily we were there early operating hours so it wasnt too much of an issue. Our pizza order was mixed up with the upstairs party, and right when we were getting ready to serve, they grabbed the pizzas and ran them upstairs and came back with ours. When you book the package, an attendant is included. My attendant was nice, but every time I needed him I had to go to the front to grab him as he was busy talking to his coworkers. You only get 45 minutes in the party room. That is seriously pushing it for food, presents and cake. It needs to be at least an hour. What irritated me the most was that when it was over, i was told i need to go stand in the line designated for parties to finalize the party. (Bill was paid ahead of time). But this was how you got the free t-shirt. The line was extremely chaotic with guests coming to check in for the next party. As someone who just got done paying $410.00 I was not waiting in that line. I was asked her size of shirt and handed two jump passes, no "Happy Birthday!" from the staff or any enthusiasm. I'm glad I was efficent and prepared but I will not be using Boom Shaka for birthdays in the future. Please do better than this! read more

This place is cool. Brought two kiddos and had a fun time. I did notice some of the teenage jumpers tend to run all over. There is a designated space for older jumpers. However, there is not a designated place for young kids under 7. In addition to paying for your fight ticket, you have to pay for their no-slip socks. It is not included. It is 5.00 or you can jump bare feet. Which isn't terrible ... but ... walking in the bathrooms and on the entry floors then on the trampolines seems greatly unsanitary. If you would like to get a locker to store your wallet and phone you have to pay another 2.00. In addition to paying 2.00 for a locker they take your Driver's license! When you return the key; you're supposed to get your ID back. So I finished with my locker and took the lock and key up to the counter & tried to return it like a responsible customer. The young lady told me I needed to go out the lock on the locker and she would take the key. So I did that and left. Hmmm... hours later as I am headed out to a dinner I realize the gal was too busy telling me to put the lock back and didn't return my ID. I call. Get passed around. They are going to mail it to me. They will leave a note on a guys desk and, "well they have no control over when it actually gets mailed by the guy." What a joke!!! First of all, hold a deposit so if someone doesn't return the key you aren't keeping people's IDs. It's a ridiculous policy! Additionally, people drive to this place from all over. I will probably not be back. Ever. I'll buy my daughter her own trampoline and won't need to worry about a locker! above the abilities of the teenage workers. *** Still haven't found a reason to try this place again. UPDATE - October 2017 - Increase from 1 to 3 stars. We decided to give it another try - I'm happy to report things have improved here! I increased my rating from 1 to 3 stars. We called before arriving to see what the hours were and if there were any sold out periods (I recommend this if you're driving a long way). A very friendly employee named Kurt answered my questions and encouraged us to be there 15 minutes early based on their volume today. Parking remains at a premium but there isn't much they can do about that. My tip is still good, drive behind the building; there are usually spaces available there so you don't have to park on the road and walk. I also still recommend buying online as well as signing the waiver there. When the business first opened this was a huge time saver because you could bypass the lines and go right to a special register and check in. Not anymore - now you have to wait in line with everyone. So if you buy that 5 pm ticket, you're going to need to be there early; they won't adjust your time or refund you due to your wait in line/missing your start time. Our time in the line was 10 minutes today - not bad. They had 4 employees working the counter. All were friendly - major improvement over my last review! For those not jumping: Seating inside is limited - so if you are not jumping, don't expect to have a seat. They have plenty of room for more seating - hopefully they resolve this. WiFi remains a problem in the building. There is no cell signal in the building (AT&T) - so that makes reliable WiFi even more important. It's almost unforgivable that they don't fix this issue with the mega business they are running. I previously complained about the foul mouthed music - but this visit - it was all tween appropriate. For the smaller kids they probably are not listening to the themes in the music anyway. So big improvement here also! On to the jumping. There is a lot to do. Probably one of the best trampoline parks from that perspective. I'm so happy to report that there is staff everywhere this visit. I took a photo from the same place I was last time and I'm counting 5 refs plus a ref hologram who lectures on the rules. By far this is the most important improvement. It's good to see all the staff maintaining order and safety. Kudos to the management staff - this was something that had to change and it apparently has. This is what I wrote before: "We have our fingers crossed that with a few changes: better check in, more safety/employees, more seating, wifi that works reliably...this business can earn back the stars they lose by missing the small stuff". I had my sons birthday party here last night. I purchased the mega birthday package which had quite a few things included. I'm upset because 1, when I booked the party online, it didn't tell me the overall total until AFTER I paid the deposit, so I didn't know the overall cost until it was too late. After knowing the total, I was still ok with paying that as I wanted to have the party there regardless. And 2, we didn't receive half of the things listed in the package. The other downside was that I purchased 3 additional pizzas (the package came with 2) and 2 of the pizzas were burnt and the 5th pizza didn't come out until we asked them where it was and they said they didn't realize we bought 5... so overall after spending around $400 I'm upset we didn't even get everything included in the package I purchased... the kids did have a really good time though... read more

Before today, I would've given 4 stars. My kids (4 1/2 and 6) always have a blast and the jump time for the money USED to be worth it. Today, my rating is 2 stars. We went for the 6 and under, kids jump time. When we got there, HALF the trampolines have been removed and replaced with 2 giant slides and a zip line, both attractions were not open and most definitely not "little kid friendly" if they were to be open. The basketball court hoops that used to be trampoline lanes, were also replaced with a single non-bouncy full court (also not little kid friendly). The price was still the same, but only 1/2-3/4 the space and size. I feel that the updates are not family friendly and aimed only toward the older kids, unfortunately, for the price and loss of space, we will most likely not be returning. My kids were bummed and also said they didn't want to go back. Maybe in a few years when they are the right age to enjoy the "upgrades" (if open). read more

So the place is great, tons of fun, and a hit or miss staff like most places. I had gotten a membership since i was going to be in the area for a bit, but even after the 90 days ive called to cancel twice and BOTH times ive been told it was done and it wasnt. Getting ahold of them isnt easy either nor do they respond to emails other than the robot response. I took my 4 year old and 2 year old the other day and they loved it! Upon entering the building, we immediately made or eat too the reception desk where we paid for one hour. The 2 year old was free, four year old cost $10, and $13 for me. Each staff member we encountered was friendly. My kids were all over the place - they tried almost every obstacle they could reach. I felt like there were not too many rules to bog down the fun. The dodge ball area was netted off and perfect for smaller kids. We will definitely go back. The only negative I saw was the price. If I brought my whole family we would have paid in upwards of $70 for just an hour of jumping... which is why we had to test the waters first. This was our first experience with BoomShaka, we've been to trampoline nation in Federal Way but they were under construction. Of course this place is a kid wonderland so when you walk in your immediately in the mad house lol but the kids loved it. The pay process was fairly quick and easy, you should know that you have to purchase their jump socks regardless of what you have on your feet and there around $4.00 a pair. Definitely check there Facebook page before purchasing any jump tickets online, I was going to buy the tickets in advance but found out it was BOGO for spring break. So for myself (yes parents can jump too) and 3 kids plus socks it was around $58.00. Not bad!! We paid for a hour and a half which is plenty of time to tire out your little ones and FYI take them straight home because there going to smell like a football team lol. They have rooms for birthday party's and a OK seating area for the parents who don't want to be in the mix of the chaos. The only thing I didn't find was FOOD, no hotdogs pizza nachos no nothing but vending machines of drinks and snacks. I didn't go upstairs so maybe I just missed it. My nieces had a blast, of course. It wasn't too crowded when we went (midday), so they had a lot of room to jump all over the place without bumping into other jumpers. I was chasing after my nieces and in the process lost my wallet, a large bill and miscellaneous receipts out of my fanny pack and in one of the foam pits. After a late afternoon call to the manager, Jason, and assurance that they would do their best to look through the first few layers of foam before closing; and another follow up call to Hope 20 minutes before they closed (who told me she would go and have a look through the pit as soon as she got off the phone with me)....Jason called me back to say that Hope had found everything that I had lost! So this five stars is for my nieces awesome experience but mostly for Hope! Thank you for going above and beyond. read more

I wanted to praise this place for being fun, but the ability to contact them is HORRIBLE and has essentially ruined this place for me. I don't really feel like ever going back or recommending this place. Their phone number? Basically useless because no one ever answers, even during business hours, and I'm always told to leave a message. I've left two messages and no one has bothered to call me back. Their email? Basically useless because no one has replied both times I sent a message. Their front desk staff customer service? TERRIBLE, I asked for a day pass in December and the person gave me EXTREMELY confusing information. They assured me that $21 was the cheapest rate and that it would last a whole month. They never bothered to inform me that it was a monthly subscription. Therefore, I received an additional charge in January that I NEVER authorized. I need to CANCEL my service and I'm getting extremely frustrated because I can't even figure out how to contact this place and cancel it. I've already opened up a dispute case with my bank over the charge, but I'm NOT interested in getting charged again for February. I had my daughter's birthday here and everyone loved it! The BoomShaka staff members were very friendly and helpful. There was fun activities for toddlers teenagers and adults! The pricing was fair and the party room was clean and came with an assistant! You can bring your own food, cake drinks ect which was awesome (and cheaper than other places) We had pizza delivered and brought our own cake and drinks! I recommend this place to anyone of any age! Just to add to my last review HQ has been in contact actually change that WAS in contact with me based upon my reaching out about how awful the place was on my daughters birthday we spent close to $400 on!! On 6/16/23 they responded explaining how sorry they where and it went on 6/26/23 was the last email I recommend from this company and on 8/08/23 I emailed back after they explained they could mail me a check thinking maybe my last email with my mailing info didn't send. And it didn't I double checked regularly. I had explained I have yet to see my refund in the mail. And stated my mailing info again. It's now 8/31/23 I've still yet to receive a refund. And let me state again the staff was awful nobody explained much or said "you have to give things like that to staff so please take it off the cart and hand it to them" when I explained what was where and what needed to be in a fridge or freezer and or what was supply stuff for the party. I knew they would set everything up as I asked on the phone before giving a deposit explaining them setting up is the only reason I was having a party there. Our family arty was never called to the party room I had to gather everyone!!! They said they would call the party my husband and brother in law where left to set up the room because staff was to lazy to do so and way to over booked and understaffed!! Our cake was mushy and warm and gross because they didn't fridge it like they said they would. Pizza was super late. Stuff was unapologetic and had an attitude. Not a single staff member could smile even when we checked in they all looked miserable and like they hated their jobs a life. Don't book parties here it's the worst place and a nightmare if your looking for stress free. They also promptly kicked us out of the party room even though it was their fault for many things including not giving us the full party room time by not calling our party. Get ready to pay for it! $13 a person to jump for an hour, $2 for their dumb no skid socks (which we didn't end up buying-went barefoot), another $2 for a teeny little locker...It's an expensive trip! Also, the music selection was quite vulgar for an establishment that caters to primarily kids. I'm not saying play nursery rhyme music or anything, but they definitely need to reconsider some of their song choices! All in all it was fun, appeared to be clean (although my husband who was jumping with our daughter and niece mentioned he had stuff stuck to the bottle of his feet-GROSS), and the staff are friendly and attentive to what's going on around them. We buy season passes all the time. Great value for as often as we go, which is most weekend and sometimes after school. It's a great, healthy workout for our son and he always has fun. We have never had an issue with staff. They keep it clean and safe. Someone complained about the volume of music-that's part of the fun and experience. 0 stars for having metal pipes in a foam pit The story : My 9yr old son was attempting to cross a swinging metal pipe bridge composed of individual metal pipes suspended by chains the children walk across and subsequently fall off. The metal pipes are heavy, about 2 inches in diameter and 2/3ft long. The end are raw uncover pipes. They rest about 6-12 inches above the foam pit. So my son falls off the "bridge" and the metal pipes are swinging around wildly (as they always do) he sticks his little head up and SLAM - a metal pipe hits his nose ! Instant Bloody Nose ! Then slam from the other side, another metal pipes gashes his forehead open! Blood gushes out everywhere! I've never seen so much blood in my life! I pull him out of the pit an you can't even see his face anymore. We hurry to the gate opening and the guy asks if there's blood in the pit. Heck yeah there's blood everywhere! But he's no help. A mom follows us into the bathroom. I'm trying to catch as much blood as I can in my hands. There's no paper towels in the bathroom so we're trying to stop the blood wit toilet paper. No help anywhere. No first aid kit, nothing. We're in the women's bathrooms and there's blood all over the counter and little girls are coming in and leaving horrified. The other (amazing) moms son is standing outside the women's restroom crying g for his mom. This is insane - and no workers assistance anywhere. Nothing. I have to get my phone to call my hubby to get us ASAP and I go back to a worker and say we need help NOW! In the women's bathroom bring a first aid kit! Finally someone comes and we get some bandaids. So - 0 stars for not having a first aid kit 0 stars for having the public restroom as the wound care area 0 stars for not having any kind of accident training or awareness in a giant trampoline park. Just grateful for other moms Grateful there was Toilet paper to help stop the bleeding And grateful for an amazing ER doctor who considers stitches a work of art. read more

Take it for what it's worth. Defy is a great place for kids-kinda loud kinda crazy. BUT and I cannot say this enough Jason the manager? Supervisor? Went ABOVE and BEYOND helping me locate my misplaced phone. I'm talking digging through trash, getting on the loud speaker and making an announcement, checking the cameras. He didn't even want to turn the lights off when it was time for the black light he was so insistent on helping me find my phone. You guys Jason and his crew put up with A LOT, we all know how places like that can be, it's retail. And it's not an easy job working with the public -add chaos basically the entire time-you get the picture. Kudos for being so empathetic to my plight (nobody wants to lose a phone) when he easily could of asked me to leave my name n number and carried on. The premises are clean and spacious, staff was friendly, and there's a great variety of activities. We were also THRILLED to stumble into a great deal as homeschoolers. We happened to show up at 12:00 on a Tuesday, and we learned that M-Tu-W-F 12:00-2:00, homeschoolers can get a 2-hour 'flight pass' for TEN DOLLARS per person. read more

Held a birthday party here in December and first off, I wish they would've told me half (literally half) of the park was shut down for maintenance/construction. The park is small as it is so with half of it gone, everyone was piled on top of each other. Secondly, I paid a lot of money for this venue and didn't have the "dedicated" worker person helping me like I was told I would. It was very unorganized & I had to clean up/set up by myself. I also had to wait about 30 minutes for them to bring me plates and utensils (which were in the room locked up). But anytime i went to remind them we needed something, all three party host members were just standing around talking, Overall I would rate this experience a 3/10. My son had fun which is the main thing but we definitely paid way too much for the crappy service & half of the park to be out of service. So they need to hire some new people to host parties or lower their prices dramatically because it is so ridiculous... as parents, we do parties at this places and pay extra for the cleanup/help so we can enjoy the party too.. you won't get that here. read more

It was fun when I went. Very tiring for four full grown adults (age 24-26) haha. There were a lot of kids but fun regardless. Grip socks were a little difficult just because they weren't the greatest to wear (kept slipping off and not a tight fit). The foam pits were not what I expected. They were so hard to get out of but that's part of the fun. We spent a 1.5 hours there thinking we might need more time but it was more than enough! From all the obstacles and flips and jumping -- I would go back but maybe in a couple years. Not something I would continuously want to do. read more

I was really excited to take my kids for the first time today. Then we walked and immediately the disappointment set in. The staff was not welcoming. The gals at the counter seemed very disinterested in answering questions I had. I did like that the place was almost empty when we arrived so the kids would have free range of the place. At one point I almost felt as those my kids were being discriminated against. Kids had tied knots in the trapeze fabric and there using them as swings. when my kids got on they would tell me that there was no knots allowed. "Hello, dude, you just watched 6 other kids do this, but because there is an adult supervisoring my kids you tell them no." That is no right. This happened again at the free swinging steps. I watched on boy almost to the end and 3 girls on the girst 3 swinging steps. 4 kids in all. Later when my son wanted to attempt going across I was talked to because there was one girl at the opposite end getting off and I was told to make sure one at a time. Before my kids entered the play arena they were told one kids on a trampoline at a time. Nothing was said about some of the equipment though. I wanted that to noted. My kids still had a good time, I just think the staff needs some coaching on customer service and equality. read more

But when it is busy I noticed that my children did not enjoy it as much. One recommendation I can make to the business is leveling the playing field when it comes to dodgeball. On our second visit while watching a dodgeball session, adults and bigger children were put in the same game as the younger children. I watched the ball being whipped to the other side by the adults, and small children getting hit hard or trampled. Parents should also monitor their children, the staff are not babysitters. Unfortunately there is very little to do for kids in the state Capitol. This was our first time. Kind of pricey. Children liked it. Gotta ignore the sweaty preteens and adults. Just put it out of your mind. We went to get our wrist bands and didn't know we had to buy socks since they ONLY allow their socks. So, we had to stand back in line and lost 10 minutes of jumping time. Seems like it should be a routine question upon check in. Secondly, they were spraying chemicals to clean the windows in the middle of the day! I'm all for cleanliness, but I'm more for my family's health! I did mention this to the manager and he did have them stop spraying immediately, so I did appreciate that!! This also happened in the restroom, they came in and sprayed on the mirror and counter, but NOT the toilet area. Uh, I think if you're going to be cleaning an area regularly, maybe try the dirtiest areas?! Lol. Anyhow, it was super fun for my 3 year old and as long as I kept my eye on him he wasn't trampled by the big kids/adults. We will be back. read more
