I am always leery of booking hotels because pictures can be deceptive, online reviewers may not find what I find important, and when speaking to a sales person they just want to close on the deal. I made two phone calls to Hilton Customer Service and two to the Sirata Beach Resort directly. I asked about the reviews I had seen online concerning the disturbances and soot of the renovations. I was told that the hotel had been split in two, tower 1 and 2 were under Hilton and 3 and 4 were Sirata and the Sirata was being renovated and not the Hilton side. So trustingly, I booked, requested an oceanfront, balcony, king sized bed room on a higher floor. I was assured this would be what I would pay for. Not the case. 1. Renovations, flooring was being replaced right in front our room. 2. The room was on the 2nd floor- not high floor at all. 3. We had to pay an additional fee for beach chairs and umbrellas. 4. The room did have a balcony but the floor of said balcony was bare & filled pebbles & dirt from renovations. 5. The room had no sofa. 6. The bathroom sink was at the entrance of the room. 7. The bathroom so small one person barely could fit. 8. There was no safe in the room. 9. The fridge barely cooled our water. 10. The ice machine had green mold and rust. 11. We were not secure, the door was not secure, only 1 lock. We stayed because I was determined to enjoy my birthday and anniversary get-away no matter what but we were disappointed. It was an expensive stay for subpar experience.

Had the absolutely best time celebrating our friends wedding at this hotel. Everything from the staff, rooms, and amenities they had to offer was incredible. Heather was the best waitress we have had on vacation. They have a great bar/grill restaurant that was great, good food, good drinks, and even better service. They have a fire pit for late night hang outs, games for the kids to play, a quick walk to the beach, and also live music. They are doing some renovating, but I'm sure the end result will be great. Again I want to thank this hotel for everything they did for our friends, it will be a trip we never forget.

First off, I cannot believe some of the negative/irrelevant reviews on here. This was our first time staying on St. Pete Beach and it was lovely. We stayed in a top floor King corner suite that was clearly updated with an amazing view. The room was very spacious, bathroom was a little small but they have a separate vanity in the hallway. The beds and pillows were so comfortable too! Beach access was great too!! The restaurant/bar on site was also very enjoyable. The food was tasty and drinks were great too. We spent all 3 nights there having drinks and listening to their live music they had. The service was also amazing including our server, Daniel. We would definitely come back here and stay if we were in the area again.

The beach is nice but the resort is terrible. It's very old and not well maintained. They make it looks nice in ads but it's very worn out and looks like Calcutta with rust doors, random clothing on the ground and trash. I would not come here for a vacation at all. Go somewhere in California better. This place is nice only for the beach, unless they renovate it and spend money to maintain it.

More trash in our room upon entering

Terrible! Might as well call it the Shitrata. Check in should have been 4 but we waited until 6 after complaining. Room was disgusting, trash full, dirty floors, counters and bathroom. Dehumidifier that we had to empty. Beds were made daily but nothing else. No new towels, no coffee, very dirty. AC sounded like it was going to explode. Woke up to a pile of linens blocking our door first morning. Pool was dirty and large group was playing their boom box competing with the musician. No remote to tv. People hoarded lounge chairs all day. Don't stay here.

The views are beautiful, and the location is right on the beach. There are plenty of spaces in the lobby for working, plenty of meeting rooms (or ball rooms if you're there for a formal event), and areas to just relax or work. The resort provides live music various days of the week as well. I will say that I was surprised about the lack of dining options. There is a lobby bar (which doesn't open until 3pm), and just two restaurant options. Maritana is only open a few days a week and not open until 5:30pm, although the lobby bar does serve a few small plates. The Society Table has a bar within their restaurant (Rowe Bar I believe), and I experienced both as they both have different menus. The lobby bar menu is small but great; the Wagyu Sliders and charcuterie board were both delicious. The wine list is fairly extensive as well. I dined at the society table for lunch on the day that I left and I got the Gumbo with jalapeño cornbread. This was very delicious; I do feel there should've been more than a few pieces of chopped up shrimp. My waitress was wonderful though and very kind as well as the hostess. For the days we were provided food by the resort for the work conference, I was very impressed! All of the breakfast, lunch, and dinner options were incredibly extensive, fresh, and delicious. The servers were very attentive and helpful. The room service menu although overpriced and included a $5 "delivery charge," is very extensive and tasty. For example, an omelet with toast (small salad included with the omelette), was almost $60 including tip. That being said, it was the best omelette I've ever had. The guest services for room service and the cleaners were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially Evan! Do note that this is a cashless resort. There are a few shops on the first floor for souvenirs, basic necessities for traveling, and then an adorable little shop/café with ice cream, coffee, wine, snacks, and drinks. On to the room! I really enjoyed my room. I feel like for one person or even two, it's a pretty spacious room. The bed was very comfortable as well as pillows. They cleaned my room each day, and provided new towels. The bathroom was clean and a decent size for one person. All of the events that the hotel put on for our conference were outstanding. We had a welcome party and a beach party, and I was incredibly impressed. The food was delicious, the staff incredibly attentive and kind, and the music wonderful! The Don CeSar was the perfect place for our conference and I would highly recommend a company conference there. Between the delicious food, impeccable service, beautiful resort, and location right on the beach, I would recommend this spot for an event, quick getaway, or staycation.

The service in this hotel is very good overall. The pools and the beach are superb. We chose this resort as a special anniversary vacation, and this is part of the lower review. We ultimately felt the hotel discount promotion and phone sales was misleading. Ambiguous communication led us to believe we would receive a free night, however we later realized and were told that the discount was already built in to our price, although no sign of discount was found anywhere on our invoice. I'm self employed and I've managed business for 35 years, and I've not seen discounts that don't show on an invoice. Se beware of promotional discount offers as it may not be what you expect, and you'll be left with no way to disprove the phantom discount because it's not on your invoice, apparently is just spoken. Overall service was very good. We had a minor blip in the maritana, which was the wrong dessert brought to us, and presented as "happy anniversary" with a chocolate that said that, but was strangely charged to us. The waitress handled it like a pro. I would advise the chef to either ignore birthdays and anniversaries and that sort of thing, or offer a small free dessert. But definitely don't bring out a "happy anniversary" dessert then charge for it. Also had overcooked hard poached eggs at the society table - no big deal just no runny yolk. If not for the price, who cares? But with such a great menu and fantastic chef, they should get eggs right. No discount offered. But I ate it so... All of our food was great, and really well developed and complete dishes as if it were Michelin rated. Cheers to the chef. Just two very minor fails. Overall it was a nice stay but we won't go back mainly because ultimately they didn't step up over a $600ish discrepancy over a 5 night stay. Look at my reviews. It's very rare I don't write 5 stars. I'm not one of those people that gives a bunch of bad reviews. The highlight of this resort is the beach, the pools, and the menu. Service is good overall. So definitely some good.

This started when I showed up a half hour before checkin. I have two young children eager to go. I approached the desk and was informed my room was not ready. Understandable due to being 30 mins early, but never had this happen anywhere else. The gentleman informs us that they will call us when ready. Before we finish with him we are met by a woman who has something to do with timeshares. Needless to say we will not be buying one here unless this journey takes a big u-turn. Anyways after speaking to her for 10 minutes the room is still not ready. At this time my kids are annoyed. We decide to walk around to kill the time. An hour passes still no call for our room. Now my kids are hungry. We found a pizza joint in one of the resort buildings. As we order drinks we are informed that the fountain drinks have the option of a $15 souvenir cup (each refill is $5) or a $4 small cup with unlimited free refills while at the pizza shop. I thought that's odd but I don't know I'm not employed here. We choose the $4 ones. I go up to get refills the first time and the girl who took our order does it. I go up the next time and the girl looks at me dumbfounded and offers to fill my cup with water or charge me $4 again for more. I explain to her what I was told by her fellow employee and she kindly gave me the refills. She explained that the $4 drinks do not get free refills but the $15 souvenir cups do get free refills. That's right completely opposite of what the first girl told us. We move on from here and finished eating. Or pizza was actually the only good thing so far in the 1.5 hours I've been here. From there we walk back to the front desk. It's bow been 2 hours and no call. We ask about our room and we are told again it's not ready. At this point I should have asked them to cancel it all. Instead I allow the lady to get her manager. When they come out from the back the manager tells us our room wasn't ready but she has a different room for us. She then offers a late checkout that I decline because we will leave early to make some time with two young kids. She then decides she can remove our resort fee for today and not charge us for parking. (That's great but she probably could have done a little more.) Especially after we get to our room that she moved us into that had a miserable balcony view looking into a ripped apart construction site hotel. At this point though I'm just ready to be in a room and watch the UFC fights tonight so I don't bring it back up. Then I turn on the tv and there is no option to connect anything or connect anything to do so. (I found this out after chatting with a bot and being placed in waiting for nearly 45 minutes with no response.) Now I'm pissed. What type of "resort" doesn't have that option? At this point I am sitting here watching on my iPad typing you this book. My advice on this one is simple, avoid this outdated, no one caring, piss poor excuse of a resort. On top of this the lamp in the room is flickering on, off, on, off, continuously. No one has touched it. DAY 2: Go to leave for breakfast and the elevator is broken. They only have one. Now we are stuck lugging two toddlers up and down 4 floors. I have to ask myself, can this get any worse? It can, ice machine is broke too. Day 3: Elevator is still broken.

Unfortunately, the noise level significantly impacted our stay. We were in Room 28, and directly behind the room is a hallway used by staff from the upstairs bar. Throughout the first night, we heard a heavy door repeatedly slamming and staff using rolling carts to transport trash. The noise continued until about 3:00 a.m., making it very difficult to sleep. The next morning, I expressed my concerns to the front desk. He was polite, apologized, and said he would pass the information along. However, the noise resumed again the following night. Around 11:30 p.m., I stepped into the hallway and observed someone pulling trash on one of the carts; they did not appear interested in engaging when I tried to address it. Closer to midnight, after another loud door slam, I spoke with a different staff member who was very receptive and respectful. After that conversation, the noise level did decrease. I understand that hotel operations continue behind the scenes, but for a property positioned as an upscale boutique experience, I would expect better late-night noise control -- especially in rooms directly adjacent to service areas. The hotel has a lot of potential, and the cleanliness was excellent. However, due to the repeated overnight noise disruption, I would be hesitant to stay in that location of the property again.
