After booking online, we arrived expecting to stay at the Sirata property shown in the listing, but unfortunately that was not the case. We were directed to check in at a neighboring building that appeared to be part of the resort. Upon arrival, the check-in area was locked, requiring us to return to the main property for assistance. Once checked in, we were disappointed to find that the room looked nothing like the photos advertised online. In addition, there was significant construction noise throughout our stay, which impacted the overall experience. Several amenities we were looking forward to were also unavailable. Harry's Pool Bar was closed, and at one point the fire alarm sounded, requiring guests to evacuate and wait outside until the situation was resolved. Following the incident, the elevators were out of service, forcing us to carry our luggage up and down six flights of stairs. Overall, the experience did not meet the expectations set by the online listing. We felt the accommodations were inaccurately represented, and prospective guests should carefully verify exactly which property and room type they are booking before making a reservation. read more

Multiple buildings on site and repairs being made. I booked through trip advisor. And I will not do that again- we were put in a situation and felt this area would be ok.The beach beautiful, the hotel not. Since it was a prepaid room, front desk put a 243$ hold on my credit card that they said would be refunded, I went over this three times. The elevators to the rooms were filthy and in poor condition. The room was on the 5th floor in building 4, the floors were very dirty as stated in other reviews. Furniture was very dated. And for a mini suite it lacked many of the items. The sink was dirty in both kitchen and bathroom. We only stayed two nights. On checkout the clerk hands me a bill for over 140$ and said it's resort fee and parking- non of this was ever mentioned at check in. I asked the clerk 3 times and they said the 243$ was 100% refundable. I do not recommend staying. read more

I am always leery of booking hotels because pictures can be deceptive, online reviewers may not find what I find important, and when speaking to a sales person they just want to close on the deal. I made two phone calls to Hilton Customer Service and two to the Sirata Beach Resort directly. I asked about the reviews I had seen online concerning the disturbances and soot of the renovations. I was told that the hotel had been split in two, tower 1 and 2 were under Hilton and 3 and 4 were Sirata and the Sirata was being renovated and not the Hilton side. So trustingly, I booked, requested an oceanfront, balcony, king sized bed room on a higher floor. I was assured this would be what I would pay for. Not the case. 1. Renovations, flooring was being replaced right in front our room. 2. The room was on the 2nd floor- not high floor at all. 3. We had to pay an additional fee for beach chairs and umbrellas. 4. The room did have a balcony but the floor of said balcony was bare & filled pebbles & dirt from renovations. 5. The room had no sofa. 6. The bathroom sink was at the entrance of the room. 7. The bathroom so small one person barely could fit. 8. There was no safe in the room. 9. The fridge barely cooled our water. 10. The ice machine had green mold and rust. 11. We were not secure, the door was not secure, only 1 lock. We stayed because I was determined to enjoy my birthday and anniversary get-away no matter what but we were disappointed. Had the absolutely best time celebrating our friends wedding at this hotel. Everything from the staff, rooms, and amenities they had to offer was incredible. Heather was the best waitress we have had on vacation. They have a great bar/grill restaurant that was great, good food, good drinks, and even better service. They have a fire pit for late night hang outs, games for the kids to play, a quick walk to the beach, and also live music. They are doing some renovating, but I'm sure the end result will be great. The Sirata Beach Resort in St. Pete Beach is a decent place with amenities, friendly staff and direct access to the beach. My wife and I booked a weekend stay at the Sirata. Friday and Saturday night. A quick, relatively affordable beach weekend to just get-away. Most places in St. Pete Beach are still recovering from last year's devastating hurricanes. Our beloved Postcard Inn is still shuttered. The Beachcomber is also closed. The Bellwether Beach Resort is vacant. Not a lot is operating but the Sirata is. Their main building where you check-in seems to be brand new and even still undergoing some finishing touches. They are expanding with a pool and new restaurant area. The hotel room we stayed in was definitely not new but it was roomy and worked for our needs. Staying over in building 4, our south facing balcony still had views of the water. The room has a sitting area with a tv and a pullout couch. A small kitchen area has a coffee maker, microwave, sink and fridge. In the middle is the bathroom and sink area. By the entry door was a room filled with a king size bed, dresser and tv. Cleanliness was a bit lacking. Our feet were dirty the entire time we were in the room. We had to brush our feet off before getting into bed. The place hadn't been mopped or swept in some time. A pile dead bugs lay in the corner of the kitchen area. Air vents visibly covered in dust. After the first night, I developed a cough and nasal congestion. Water damage on the ceiling tiles was visible. I couldn't help thinking there was mold or asbestos all around us. The Sirata has two different places to eat, drink and swim. Harry's Beach Bar and Rum Runners Bar and Grille. While they offer different eating and drinking windows, both offer the same basic food and drinks. The food was decent but we only had one lunch and one dinner here. Both pools were nice but not heated so our mid-October beach weekend was spent mostly at the beach. What we did like was the staff, the splash pad for our two-year-old, the proximity of the hotel to the beach, the spacious room and the price. St. Pete Beach is still rebounding and our tourist dollars help now more than ever. 1 Star - This Was a Motel, Not a Resort I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was one of the worst lodging experiences I've ever had. First, the adults-only pool was closed during our stay. At no point before arrival were we informed of this. Had we known, we likely would have chosen a different property. The only remaining pool was overcrowded and felt more like a children's pool than a relaxing resort amenity. The property itself is extremely run-down and looks nothing like what many travelers would expect from a beach resort. Our "ocean view" room was incredibly disappointing. Calling it underwhelming would be an understatement. The advertising was misleading. The resort promotes a private beach experience where guests supposedly don't need to bring towels or chairs. In reality, oceanfront chairs cost approximately $95 per day and had to be surrendered at 6 PM. Umbrellas were not included unless rented for an additional fee, forcing us to purchase our own. None of this was clearly disclosed before arrival. The cleanliness was unacceptable. The beds contained sand before we had even stepped onto the beach. Within minutes of removing our shoes in the room, the bottoms of our feet were black from the filthy floors. Multiple guests observed roaches around the property, including near the ice machines, bathrooms, and guest room areas. The room itself felt more like a Motel 6 than a resort. The bathroom was so small it was difficult to move around comfortably. The entry door had large gaps around the sides and bottom, allowing light, noise, and likely insects to enter the room. Customer service was equally disappointing. One front desk employee was friendly and helpful, but most staff members were dismissive and unhelpful. After accidentally leaving my Stanley cup at check-in, I was repeatedly told it was not there and was given a phone number to call. The following morning, the only helpful employee immediately found it sitting right behind the front desk where it had apparently been the entire time. The food served on-site left both of us feeling sick that evening. To make matters worse, after checkout I discovered charges on my folio that were never explained at check-in or during our stay, including resort and parking fees totaling nearly $144 for a two-night stay. The surrounding area was also disappointing. Many nearby businesses appeared closed, and there was very little within walking distance compared to what we expected from a beach destination. This property is marketed as a resort. Our experience was that of an aging motel charging resort prices. Between the closed amenities, misleading advertising, cleanliness concerns, roaches, poor customer service, unexpected fees, and substandard accommodations, this was one of the most disappointing travel experiences I've ever had. The manager at the hotel Shelly still refuses to give me back my money for parking and resort fees. DO NOT STAY HERE ! Trust me !!!! Find a nicer place that someone you know has been there. They put me in a building on their property that is going to be demolished and advertise that your staying at their other hotel on the same property but that hotel is redone. We stayed in the dated not remodeled part of the resort and had a mediocre stay. Our room was large, that was a plus. AC unit which is build into the window was loud , when you step outside your room there are rivers of water (from AC units) running down the hallway from each room down to the first floor. The resort has 2 small pools and 2 restaurants. Prices are the restaurant were high for very average bar food. I wouldn't pick this hotel again. The staff wasn't helpful or informative about the resort, we were not aware of any actives or there was a game room on the property. read more

First off, I cannot believe some of the negative/irrelevant reviews on here. This was our first time staying on St. Pete Beach and it was lovely. We stayed in a top floor King corner suite that was clearly updated with an amazing view. The room was very spacious, bathroom was a little small but they have a separate vanity in the hallway. The beds and pillows were so comfortable too! Beach access was great too!! The restaurant/bar on site was also very enjoyable. The food was tasty and drinks were great too. We spent all 3 nights there having drinks and listening to their live music they had. The service was also amazing including our server, Daniel. They make it looks nice in ads but it's very worn out and looks like Calcutta with rust doors, random clothing on the ground and trash. I would not come here for a vacation at all. I enjoyed my stay at Sirata Beach Resort, but I do think things could be better. The resort was heavily under construction when we were there so much so that it seemed that it wasn't even worth it to have guests in the resort. Most of the rooms were motel style and nice inside, but the exterior had significant amounts of construction just about everywhere. It's right on the beach and has two pools which was nice. The beach bar wasn't too expensive and it was convenient to grab a drink by the pool. I think I would definitely give the resort another chance, but I don't think our stay was worth what we paid. read more

You had to enter the bathroom, turnaround and then shut the door because it's so small. No TV service, so bring your own Roku. Furnishings are very dated. Door to room had to be forced open daily due to age and condition of the door. No idea what the $40 resort fee is for. There's nothing here but 2 pools, compared to other resorts nearby at this price point. You even have to pay separate for a beach chair and an umbrella. We stayed on the 6th floor overlooking the gulf. Beautiful view. Room was not ready at 4pm so we spent some time roaming the beach. Came back at 5pm and room still not ready but was comped $50 for the delay. Room was missing towels so we found the cleaning crew in hall to request towels. They didn't speak English but allowed us to help ourselves to the towel cart. Friendly employees always giving a smile but the entire place seemed understaffed. Room's floors were dirty as white socks revealed. Otherwise room was modern and remodeled. The resort is showing its age but all things considered, all of St. Pete's hotels and restaurants are showing their age. The bar on site had friendly staff, served great drinks and the food was of high quality which was an unexpected suprise. The food and drink is why I'm giving a 3 rating otherwise it would be a 2 for the hotel only. read more

I wanted to take my mother on a little vacation. I booked this hotel for a 3 night stay, we stayed July 19th-22nd. The food was good, beautiful view if the sea from the balcony and the people was kind and courteous. Thats where the pros ended. I did not have a good stay, the place was run down and have rust in some places, the AC unit was loud and one was continuously leaking in the walkway. My first night after I checked in, around 2am I said let me take a shower, I turned the shower handle only for it to fall off in the tub. I reached out to front desk who tried to help, I could not get a room change at the moment because my mother was already sleeping, so I informed her that I just needed to take a shower. She stated she will give me a room key so I could use the shower, went down only to find out that the system was down so I could not get a key she tried to send me to another building but I declined. It was 2am! No thanks you! The whole night I was sleeping, I smelled something moldy and tried to figure out what it was. In the morning, I smelled 2 of the 4 pillows, It was the pillows! I felt disgusted. I asked for new pillows only to recieve 4 pillows that smelled the same. Then when I was going down in the elevator, 2 persons were complaoning that their room smelled moldy and there was water on the floor. Then the next night at 11pm, while watching TV the lights went out in the whole area. The next day, there was no appologies or explanation. I do not recommend!!! I helped organize our company's annual retreat at the Sirata Beach Resort for a group of 22. Overall I give the hotel 4 stars for the experience we had as a group but there is good and bad. The location is incredible and the resort has multiple pools, restaurants, bars and a variety of rooms to choose from. The group rate we received was extremely competitive so the value for all of these amenities was there. Some of the rooms have not been updated and smell musty from the beach location, the hotel is old and the age shows. The check-in time is supposedly 4:00PM which is crazy, they typically charge you $50 to check in early. The resort fee is around $40 so once you add all of this up, it's pretty expensive for an aging resort. For us, since we had such an incredible group rate, the stay was a good value but at the rack rate, it's tough to justify for me. Our stay was wonderful at a great price! I looked into going for a weekend on my own and for a beachfront room it was going to be almost $900 for two nights before food and beverages. I just couldn't do it here. read more

The biggest problem with it, is it markets itself as a beach resort "steps from the beach" but charges $40 PER CHAIR, PER DAY for the beach!! With a $40 per day resort amenity fee, why not just up that a little and include chairs??? Maybe Hilton will correct things as they take over, until then, spend a little more and stay at Tradewinds next door. Nicer hotel and beach chairs are included. read more

I came here for a conference in July. I live locally so drove in everyday. Really low key old school Florida Beach vibe. The conference venue was nice and the staff were extremely attentive and went above and beyond to assist. Raphael was very helpful in getting me some food while I was listening to a lecture and could not navigate the stairs to get to the restaurant. I really appreciate what they did to assist. I ordered some coconut fried shrimp and my friend had a cobb salad from their outdoor bar. It was very good and they accommodated us by bringing it right to me in the smaller conference room so I didn't have to miss the presentation. That really made my day. Thank you! They are also pet friendly. Many of my new friends had brought their dogs along and it made it extra fun. read more

Sirata Beach Resort is a cool place. I stayed here for the weekend, upon arrival I was surprised to see that they charge a $25 dollar parking fee per day, even to guests. The resort has two pools and two restaurants. The drinks are strong and good, the food is pretty good too, I recommend the grouper sandwich or the chicken quesadilla. The room is your regular basic hotel room, clean and the bed was comfortable. It's a older building however if your trying to have go somewhere on the beach with a good pool/bar this is your place! read more

The location is great, and the sunset views over the gulf are phenomenal but everything else was disappointing. This "resort" needs a major face lift, and possible a brand new start. The rooms are outdated, and not cared for. I stayed in an "Ocean Front Suite" and the coach had a giant tear on the cushion. The refrigerator inside was rusty and had an odor. The stucco exterior was really an eyesore. For some reason a garbage pile was getting progressively bigger during the course of my stay. I was traveling with my wife and 17 month old son, and requested in our booking a pack n play, I was told it would be ready prior to arrival. Despite 4 conversations with the housekeeping/concierge the pack n play didn't arrive until my wife waited for it in the lobby. While the price per night wasn't expensive, the additional "resort fee" and al a carte nature of the hotel, brought the price up significantly. They also charge a fee to use the lounge chairs at the beach. I am not sure exactly where the $40/day resort fee gets you. The restaurant said they offer online ordering, but they menu isn't updated and actually took longer since I had to reorder. The pool, and restaurant on site are the only redeeming factors this hotel offers. It was impossible at all points during my stay to contact someone at the front desk by phone, you had to walk down to the main office to speak to anyone. It was mostly met with an attitude, and bewildered look. I will definitely not return to this place. read more

Situated on typical Florida white sand beaches with lots of activities like ping pong, corn hole, fitness center and 2 pools the Sirata scene is beautiful . But that's where the benefits end. Outside of housekeeping all other services are not good. All 3 restaurants server the same food from 1 location. We ate at all 3 they are not good; food typically luke-warm. The real problem was the room. It reminded me of the place I stayed during my 1993 high school senior trip at a house on 2nd street in OCMD. Musty smelling room with a dehumidifier, soggy tub with 3 inches of standing water, rusty fixtures and uncomfortable beds/chairs. Seriously, I emptied the dehumidifier twice a day. Old look and feel. Pay for the beach not the comfort. It was not cheap. Lastly, prepaid non refundable rates , taxes and fees do not include $25 per day parking fee. Look elsewhere. read more

This hotel is extremely conveniently located and reasonably priced, especially off season. It is being renovated as I write this. Unfortunately, I did not get a renovated room. The one I'm staying in is very run down, poorly furnished, and I don't even want to know when the air conditioning vents were cleaned last. But there are good points. The swimming pool is gorgeous, and beach access is extremely convenient. My interactions with the staff have been stellar, especially JJ, who rents beach chairs and umbrellas right on the beach. I would like to come back again, but only if I know for a fact I'm getting a renovated room. read more

This beach resort in St. Pete is one-in-a-million! Love coming here for vacation of the Gulf of Mexico. The Sirata offers a fantastic place to stay with your family and friends on vacation in paradise! They have bingo by there at the decent family sized pool that goes up to 9 feet deep (friendly for divers). Don't get caught diving by security because I saw a lot of kids jumping in the pool just minding their own business and having a good time when suddenly a staff member demanded the kids to not jump around the pool area (but I understand because that is a safety hazard). They also have a larger pool area with plenty of lounge chairs for more of an adult vibe and some hanging cushioned seating too - great for a new IG pic to post! Overall, 1,000% recommend staying at this beautiful resort on the beach in St. Pete, FL! read more

What this place needs is one of 2 things. New owners and management and a COMPLETE overhaul/gut job. Or, it needs to be bulldozed and something new needs to happen here. We stayed here 7 years ago for a wedding, and it was horrible. But I heard there was a remodel within the last few years, so I was okay with staying here again for a family reunion, as I had high hopes judging by their pictures on their website. No. Just no. Adding some blue paint and the letters P-L-A-Y to the wall, is not a remodel. This place is exhausted, unkept, dirty, and NOT worth 1k for a 2 night stay. If I had known it was this bad, I wouldn't have even paid $150 a night. Our room was filthy. Dirty curtains and patio, mildew shower curtain, dirty floors, faucet, shower. Less of a resort, and more of a drug/prostitution motel vibe. If I wasn't here for a family reunion, I would've left right away and demanded a refund. The food at the beach bar was terrible, house keeping took all of our towels and then didn't return any because they had none clean to replace them.... Leaving us to dry off with our clean tshirts as we showered so we weren't late to our family reunion dinner, pee stained sheets, the roaches we killed along the way..... those instances were just icing on the cake for this joke of a "resort". We are from Tampa. We stay in beach hotels on at pete beach alllllll the time. We know keeping a beach hotel perfect isn't possible. Florida has all the elements.... Extreme sun, salt, water, sand, palmetto bugs, humidity. We get it. BUT, there are hotels within walking distances that are far superior. Sirata....
