Had the experience of a life time with Skydive Chelan!! When we came in that day we had an issue we thought was a big one but the wonderful gal at the counter put our mind at ease and helped us solve the problem with no delay in our jump accept the weather. On our scheduled jump day the wind was picking up and they warned us right up front that there was a chance we wouldn't be able to jump but they would help to accommodate our schedule. Every staff member that we had the pleasure of crossing paths with was awesome to say the least! This was the first jump for all of us and they did everything to put our mind at ease and create a sense of excitement for the experience. Scott, the instructor, was PHENOMENAL! I had the wonderful honor of jumping with him and I couldn't have been paired with a better partner. He reassured me on the safety but didn't focus on that, he focused on the experience! Ryan & Jon, the other tandem guys to jump with my family were fabulous and helped lighten this Mom's heart and reassure me that my family was safe with them. From signing the paperwork to landing on the ground the experience was BEYOND anything I could have ever imagined. We happened to go on Skyfest weekend and every person we encountered was friendly, supportive, and made the experience a lifetime dream come true. While sitting in the plane on the ride up to 13,500 total strangers helped these first time jumpers relax and enjoy the experience! Thank You Skydive Chelan for a Dream come true! My friends and I went out to Chelan last weekend. After relaxing lakeside and enjoying the bounty of flavors offered by the local wineries we decided we needed something a little more adventurous than the typical obligatory cliche Chelan wine/cigar/hot tub/g-string/hot wax/ experience, so the next day (after a massive hangover) we opened up the lake Chelan visitors guide and saw the raddest advertisement for skydiving!! So I drove 10 minutes from Chelan downtown (Woodin ave) to the local airport and was highly anxious but super stoked to see a bunch of parachutes already landing, there were a few ordinary slow ones landing but all of a sudden I heard an ear splitting roar as this total badass dropped out of the sky. He landed like superman.. I think his name started with G or something.. Anyway on a serious note Sonya, Todd, Emily, Zack and the pilots run a tight ship and although the dropzone is new, they have tons of experience in the industry. The experience was definitely awesome and safe. The views were beautiful and they were all amped to introduce us to skydiving. I definitely would recommend it for the views alone. The aircraft was cool and modern and the instruction was very professional and to the point. They are super flexible and can really work with you on scheduling. (they do walk ons too). The view at 10k over Chelan is awesome and jumping from a plane is really a awesome feeling! Great place and good people. Kudos to Skydive Chelan!! read more

Sonya and Todd were awesome! This was my first jump and the most nerve-racking part about skydiving is prior to arriving thinking about what you're about to do. When we walked in, they were very friendly and professional. As we talked with them, I became less and less nervous about it and more excited. They really have a way of making you feel very comfortable and at ease with the fact that you're going to jump out of a perfectly good air plane. The pre-jump training was great and then we went up. They talk you through everything multiple times to give you the confidence that you really do need. The door opened and we rolled out. It was one of the most amazing feelings of having time stop and everything at a stand still. It was such a comfortable ride and I hardly noticed the parachute open. The landing was soft and easy and we slid back on land on the green grass. Working in recreation myself, I can really appreciate everything they do to create a great atmosphere and a sense of camaraderie with all of the other experienced sky divers that were there to just hang out and root for you. This isn't the closest skydive center to where we live, however they're very competitive on their pricing and you can't beat the view that you get to experience of both the Columbia River, Lake Chelan and the mountains all around. We've already booked our next jumps to work towards out certifications with Skydive Chelan. read more

I got paired with Tim Marable. He's not only the coolest dude alive, he sent it as hard as I requested and I was on Cloud 9 all day afterwards. Backflip out of the plane, killer footage, hard turns catching the g-force once the parachute deployed... What a ride! Can't wait to do this again, even thinking about getting trained for solos!! My wife and I went to Skydive Chelan for our first tandem experience this past weekend. To sum it up, it was AWESOME. The team at Skydive Chelan were extremely professional and friendly which went a long way to helping us calm down and accept that we were jumping out of a airplane. Our instructors Sonya and Todd talked us through the jump process multiple times and explained the numerous safety measures in place which quickly turned our nervousness about the experience into utter excitement. The flight up was extremely scenic and when the door opened the feeling is something you can't describe in words. (Extra thanks to the pilot for the assist getting me out the door!) The free fall was unreal. Both my wife and I felt that Sonya and Todd were amazing throughout the free fall, the parachute ride, and the soft landing. I would highly recommend this location for anyone thinking of doing their first skydive. The scenic views, the amazing staff, and the rush of adrenaline is something that we will never forget. If you are even considering skydiving or just wanna go out and do something that you'd never thought you would do skydive chelan is the place to do it. My girlfriend and I had made a bucket list before we started dating and skydiving was definitely in our top 5. So I decided to plan a surprise jump with this place on her birthday. I have nothing but good things to say about this place and especially the staff. Super friendly and energetic people, they definitely know how to work out the nerves and keep your mind in a positive place. Very knowledgeable of there jobs and getting people on the same page to ensure your safety and theirs. After done with all our run throughs and lessons I was more than confident I was ready for the next step.. the jump. Going up to 11,000 ft you will be blown away by the view of the lake and the mountains. The staff will show you what places to look at and give you more pointers along the way up. And as for the jump and free falling part I found myself completely at peace as odd as that sounds. You will not be disappointed. Definitely going to make another trip. Me and a mate spent a weekend here freaking Sending it out of planes and all I have to say is Holy **** this was the best weekend of my life. I would 100% spartan kick a toddler off a skyscraper if it meant I could do this again. EASY We jumped ~15 times in three days - what could be better? Even when we weren't flapping around like giraffes on rollerblades at 10,000 feet (they take video, I thought I looked cool until I saw it), chilling around the aircraft hanger with the instructors, pilots, and owners was refreshing. Todd probably already hates me for this review (it pains me to refrain from adding more) so I'll say this to all of you concerned about "safety" and "rules" and "avoiding death": I always felt 100% safe before the jumps and learned a ton from the instruction during and after jumps. Everyone was very professional when push came to shoving myself out of a perfectly good airplane. Can't wait to come back and earn my A license. read more

Family bonding while first-time skydiving to celebrate our daughter's 18th birthday. She had been waiting for this day since her 13th birthday when we called to ask about hosting a birthday bash at Sky Dive Chelan. WOW!! It was worth the wait! What an A-mazing experience! Breath-taking (literally). Our tandem instructors (Todd and Trinity) were very informative and fun. They made sure we took it all in from take-off to landing. The pilot was just as interactive with us as our instructors which added a level of comfort knowing we were in his care throughout the 12,500 foot ascent. The gals who helped us with check-in, signing our lives away, confessing all to a camera in case we died and tempting us with sneak peeks of our videos at the end were very informative, helpful, beautiful inside and out and super fun! I was so nervous to skydive and Jared made me feel completely at ease and safe. I called to book and the man on the phone was very nice. They were also very honest. My husband is 6'6" and 260 and they simply advised that he couldn't jump; he was too big and it wasn't safe. (220 lbs is the max.) I very much so appreciated their honesty. We had a bit of a hard time finding the place b/c google is dumb, but they explained where to go (look for orange flags!) and greeted us upon arrival. Jared was my guy and there was a mohawked guy who was the videographer. They both work very hard to put you at ease and are very fun and fun-loving. All of my friends who watched the video said, "You didn't even look scared!" I said, "I was but couldn't help just smiling from ear to ear. Jared made me feel safe and is a very calm person." Jared is a very experienced skydiver and you are safe in his hands. :) I would do it again and again! read more

6/12/17 was my second visit to Skydive Chelan. I had my tandem jump back in September 2015 during my bachelorette weekend. The second visit was for my husband. In nearly 2 years time between jumps the caliber of our visit remained top notch. This leads me to believe that Todd and Sonya's skydive operation is a product of their heart and souls. Their drop-zone is everything you could want or need. If you're a certified jumper or a novice seeking your first tandem, they are kind and welcoming, thorough and safe. Even their dog Chaos is roaming around for moral support. I continue to recommend this drop zone to anyone I know who mentions wanting to skydive. In my opinion, it's nearly impossible to be disappointed in your experience here. Thanks again Todd and Sonya for a momentous experience, we can't wait to come back. One of the best experiences of my life, and my wife can say the same. We were taken care of with a high level of service, and they accommodated all of our needs above and beyond. Absolute thrill of a sport, and this crew made it even better. The owner is highly involved and has been doing this for over 2 decades...they really make you feel comfortable despite the fact that you are about to jump out of an airplane. The ride down was even better, make sure and ask for the "rollercoaster", you will not be disappointed. We landed at Tsillan Cellars where we had a bottle of wine waiting for us and was also able to meet Bob, the owner. It has only been 2 days since my jump and still in disbelief. The most amazing experience and is nearly indescribable, but I'll try my best. The amazing team I had to fortune to meet exuded absolute professionalism. They know what they are doing and are good at it. Not a single moment did I have any doubts about my safety or the process. Sonia was very thorough in preparation but made you completely comfortable knowing what to expect. Everyone's energy made the experience all worth while. For someone who believed they were scared of heights once the plane door opened all the fear that remained left my body. Sonia's instructions even continued in mid air to make ensure a safe and proper landing. All in all there's no other place I would recommend to jump in Washington other than Skydive Chelan. Every dollar spent was worth it and might very well be hooked! Maybe my license is in order? read more

I've jumped before at other places but this is now my all-time favorite! Sonya and Todd are super cool, welcoming, and highly experienced skydivers. Seeing Lake Chelan, and a number of the mountains in the Pacific Northwest from Sonya and Todd's jump zone is awesome! Do not pass up Skydive Chelan!! Sonya and Todd's facilities are excellent, they have top of the line gear, and of course there are wineries and great food spots all within a few minutes of their drop zone, you can't wish for anything else! Don't pass this up if making a tandem skydive is on your bucket list, or if you are an experienced skydiver! Skydive Chelan is the legit place!! As a first time jumper, I was a bit anxious of jumping out of a perfectly good airplane. But the friendly staff carefully explained each step, and when the big moment came, I didn't hesitate. The exhilarating freefall was fast and loud, but when Jules deployed the parachute, the ride was amazingly smooth and quiet. Jules even let me have the controls, and I executed a fast 360 counterclockwise corkscrew that she followed up with a 720 clockwise. Jules was a professional in every respect, and obviously an accomplished skydiver. She made a flawless landing that ended the breathtaking adventure. This jump was supposed to be a simple checkmark off my bucket list. But, it was so much fun! Clearly, I'm not a one-jump guy! Thanks to the great staff at Skydive Chelan, and especially to Jules. I did my first tandem skydive yesterday with Skydive Chelan and it was AMAZING! You could feel the excitement and energy when you are walking up to the building. The entire staff was friendly, professional and fun! They were thorough, funny, and made me feel safe. Our instructors were AWESOME! Although they have done thousands of dives, they were just as (well pretty close!) excited as we were! They really treat you special, play it up and enhance the excitement even while they are videoing prior to the dive. And they were just as incredible in the air! You are definitely not treated as "just another client"! The entire experience was truly the coolest thing I have ever done! I initially thought this would be a one-time thing but I will DEFINITELY be diving again with Skydive Chelan! I HIGHLY recommend them and absolutely GET THE VIDEO! read more

"Life is about the acquisition of memories, in the end that is all there is!" Had my first jump on 10-4-2015. What a memory acquisition it was! Gonna' do it again! What does it take to get a 54 year old woman to jump out of a plane? The staff at Sky Dive Chelan! They made this an experience to remember in additional to the jump from the plane!!! I'm going to preface this with a fact about myself. I'm terrified of heights. I decided to face my fear and signed up for the tandem skydive into Tsillan Cellars through Skydive Chelan, because obviously I was gonna need a recovery beverage... I gotta say, what I thought was going to be a grape juice to repair the mental damage jumping out of a plane would do, turned out to be an incredible celebratory toast to incredible views, awesome people, and a well controlled dive to earth. I jumped with Sonya, but both Sonya and Todd were awesome support and super encouraging. They were professional and I took a huge amount of comfort in the fact that they definitely knew what they were doing. I'd do it again in a heatbeat. read more
