I just went today! This was my first time so I don't really have any place else to compare to this place. The actual dive itself is of course super awesome! The staff there are all very nice. I had a reservation at 11, but i arrived 10 minutes late. I did have to wait for like an hour before I met with my instructor, but I liked the wait personally. It gave me a chance to calm my nerves down and watch other people jump. The reservation time is only approximate. If you arrive a little early or late you can just catch the plane at other times. So if there are too many people ahead of you, you do have to wait for a while. The staff were very very busy because there were a lot people today. It seemed that the staff were on top of things and they were professional. They provide jump suits, but you don't have to wear them on a warm day. I would recommend first timers to wear them. Firstly because it gets really chilly up there. Secondly, they strap you as tight as they could for the tandem jump. So if you are only wearing your normal pants, you might end up with a bruise on your thigh, like my friend did. My instructor Kramer gave me simple directions, which is good, for I could barely think once I got on the plane. They are pretty good at getting back to you too. You'll get your video the same day, and they mail you hard copies later. read more

If I could give this twenty stars I would. I went skydiving yesterday for my birthday and after years and years of wanting to try it I finally made the leap! I have never had a more amazing feeling before in my entire life. After getting there and going through the video and paperwork I was beyond ready to get myself into the plane and if I could say I was nervous I would but I wasn't especially after meeting my jumping partner Zach! He's an amazing person with a fantastic outgoing personality. He has such a way of making you feel comfortable throughout the entire experience from tightening the harness on the ground to jumping out of the plane and flying full speed toward the ground. He allows you the room to have fun while literally falling through the sky but also makes you feel so secure and safe that you feel comfortable enough to truly be in the moment! I one hundred percent recommend if your going or thinking about going to ask for him! His goofy loving personality allows anyone to feel comfortable enough to step outside of there heads and into their bodies which is where the present moment always resides. I cannot thank him enough, the jumping out of the plane was what I went for but because of him I had a blast throughout the whole process and experience! Thank you, thank you, thank you! The place is great! People who work there seem to really enjoy what they do and it influences the whole atmosphere and experience. I did a tandem jump with Justin as my instructor and Darko as a videographer. Justin has been with the company for almost 20 years, so I knew I was in good hands. They were EXTREMELY busy that day, but still gave me their full attention. During my wait, the owner was making sure everyone was ok and passed around popsicles since it was very hot and humid. They also gladly accommodated my need to nurse my baby and provided a private room with AC. I was prepared to hang out there for a while, since their website and emails quote 3-4 hour wait times. We watched the jumpers land and even got to take my baby on board the plane to check it out; he loved it! As to the jump itself, it was epic! Of course I was nervous, especially once we got up in the air and looked down through the open door and realized that things just got real. But it all went away during free fall and I just felt exhilarated! Definitely doing it again or possibly trying out their AFF program. Thanks, guys! read more

Took the jump today of a lifetime and I can only tell you that this was absolutely the most amazing thrill of my life. You can talk to others all you want about their experiences but until you actually experience it for yourself, you have absolutely no idea how it feels to jump out of a plane into the open sky. It is totally beyond amazing and certainly hands down better than any amusement park ride you might venture on. We are talking 13,000 feet up and free falling to about 5500 feet before deploying the chute. I am so ready to go up again to experience the rush and thrill of the freedom you feel once clear of the plane. I am a 70-year old man that has been wanting to do this for years and finally I had the opportunity to do so and I did it! Thank you Skydive Indianapolis for this awesome experience. Once they send me the video and pictures, I will post on here for all to see. My brother went with me this morning to see my expression once back down on the ground. He took the jump about 10-years ago and now wants to go back up again too! I got a feeling we will be going up together next time... read more

My experience at Skydive Indiapolis was amazing!!! All of the Videographers, packers, and Instructors were all INCREDIBLE!! They definitely made up for the office staff being a little bit rude and not as helpful as our group (who had a group number to all go together but were still forced to separate because of poor time slot management) would have liked. They said in order to stay together we would have to wait 2 hours AFTER our reserved timeframe because they couldn't put solo divers in a different spot, so we ended up just splitting up our group. We were not very happy until we got to see how absolutely wonderful the videographers and packers were, and how amazingly helpful and careful the instructors were!!! My instructors name was Mo, and he definitely made sure I had the best possible experience I could have, and that I was comfortable the entire time. On the way up he made sure I was secure about 12 times and made us practice what we were doing when we jumped about 6 times!! I will definitely be going back for a second jump very very soon!!! read more

Had my first jump a few weeks ago. What a Blast!! When we got to Skydive Indianapolis, we were unsure if we were going to be able to jump due to a weather hold. There were a few groups ahead of us, the staff said they were going to get us ready, as they thought there was going to be an opportunity to go. And that they did, when the weather gave us a window to go, the staff worked together seamlessly to get the groups rotating through. I cannot say enough about the staff, each of them was professional and thorough in what they did. My instructor Kramer and videographer Patrick were absolutely fantastic!! They were professional, informative and FUN!! as i'm certain they all are. This was one of the most Thrilling Experiences EVER!! My family was there to watch & my teenage boys want to do it, when they are old enough. And I won't hesitate to let them (go with them). I never felt fearful or unsafe at any point. This absolutely ROCKS!! YOLO.. Go JUMP!! ...You will be glad you did!! read more

This was my first time sky diving so I was pretty excited and scared! We had come 2 weeks prior but low cloud coverage prevented us from jumping. I was really glad to see the guys call off the jumps that day (although I was disappointed because I was all ready to go!) because I knew they took safety very seriously. When we came back for our second attempt, the check in process took about 5 seconds and they got us ready to go instantly. Everyone is wonderful there about walking you through the process, teaching you the steps you'll need to take from the ground to the sky and back to the ground again, and then continuing to review with you all the safety measures right until the second you jump. Luke (Lu) was my tandem instructor and he was PHENOMENAL. He kept me calm the entire time and was super fun and professional as well. Such a great experience and I cannot wait to go back to Skydive Indy when I want to jump again. read more

My son and I went jumping today. Zach was my tandem partner. He was incredible. He made jokes and kept the mood light. Though while he was making jokes, he was telling me everything that would be happening, what to expect, etc. He made sure it was a great experience for me. It was a perfect day. If I went in Indianapolis again, I would want Zach to be my tandem partner again. I ONLY reduced it to five stars to four when I thought about something Zach said -- how awesome it is to jump when you can see the mountains and the ocean at the same time. This was a beautiful jump, and the day was perfect. But I live in the middle of corn fields and bean fields, so this wasn't anything unusual -- except I was seeing them from high in the sky! I definitely recommend Skydive Indianapolis -- and ask for Zach! read more

I've been here twice now and had a blast both times! It's absolutely an amazing experience!! Indy skydive is so far the best skydiving place I've been too. They have a reasonably large plane and really nice staff. I jumped out of a smaller plane in Hawaii the over all experience is just as awesome but it's much nicer to jump from a plane that's big enough for more than one or two people to go up at a time. I think the one here fits like 20 people or 10 tandem divers. And if you want pictures they have someone jump with you to get really good high quality shots instead of just a go pro strapped to the instructors wrist like some other places. Plus after my first jump they sent me a coupon for $100 off my second jump and I just got another coupon from them for $100 off my third jump which I'll be doing soon!!! read more

10/10 recommend skydiving here if you are a first-timer like I was! One of my besties and I made a pact 5 years ago that we would go skydiving together the summer after we turned 21, and we finally did that at Skydive Indianapolis two days ago. The staff was super chill and I was hardly even nervous as a result. I was definitely in shock right after and haven't been able to stop talking about what an incredible experience it was since. My friend Rylee had Alex as an instructor, and he was super awesome and funny. I had Andre, who is both adventurous and down to earth, which made it a great experience. I would definitely go back -- in fact, I called my mom right afterwards and told her I would do it again right then...please, don't wait to experience skydiving for the first time. This is a great experience that any adrenaline seeker will love. The staff is very friendly including some staff dogs that love to run around. There were probably 7 dogs on site and they were all super friendly. The skydive itself is tons of fun. The instructors are patient and kind. I jumped with my mom and she was very nervous. This was my second jump and I'm considering getting certified. The biggest negative in my opinion is that the instructors like to spin as you come down after the shoot is deployed. This helps to bring you down faster rather than being suspended for much longer. This caused me to feel sick on my first jump (at a different location) and my mom felt very sick on her jump today. All in all I love skydiving and it's a great experience. read more

I had been trying to get the courage to jump for years. When my son turned 18, I decided that I shouldn't put it off any longer. I had no idea where people even did this kind of thing, but my son found Skydive Indianapolis online. When we actually got there I tried to back out, but my son wasn't having it. I had never been more scared. I think my instructor could tell, and he went out of his way to try to make me laugh and feel comfortable. He told me every little thing he was doing and reassured me that we were attached in several places while we were on the plane. I can't say I would do it again (once is enough for me!) but I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a memorable first jump! My brother and I recieved gift certificates for christmas and finally used them today. We had the BEST time here today and it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I was really nervous when i first arrived but all of the instructors and other crew members did an amazing job putting my fears at ease. The feeling of free falling through the air is something every person should experience! I would definatly suggest setting aside a nice chunk of time to spend at the airport because there are alot of jumpers...but they have a grill area if you get hungry so you dont miss your jump. Conquered my fear of heights! I had originally bought a gift certificate as a Christmas present for my husband because he had made comments how it looked like fun whenever we would see skydivers. When he signed up, I decided to join him, along with one of our daughters and our son! I was nervous, but the Skydive Indy staff all made you feel comfortable and relaxed. I jumped with Derek and John was the photographer, they were very helpful and made the experience fun and calming. Signed up for the 8 am skydive, the 4 of us got there, watched an informational video, signed some waivers, met our jump instructors, and they suited us up and told us what to expect. My tandem instructor was Zach, the guy was really chill and very experienced. He told me he had over 7600 jumps, so in my book the guy was a pro. He explained everything I needed to know and made me feel safe and prepared. It was my first time skydiving and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life. If you are interested in skydiving, GO to Skydive Indy, try to get Zach as your tandem instructor and DO IT. I promise you will not regret it. read more

Not only was it super, ridiculously fun, but I was beyond impressed by the staff at Skydive Indianapolis. They were nice, outgoing, and professional and made the experience as fun as could be. Fantastic experience! Very relaxed and comfortable enviorment, but extremely professional as well. Great experience and totally recommend to anyone who is in the slightest bit interested! Jumping with Zach was very entertaining and he had lots of jokes to tell if you got nervous! Ted took fantastic pictures that really help you relive the moments again and again! Get pictures or a video if you can afford it cause they are so worth it. It was amazing! Super Fast! I had a blast! Both of my instructors were very down to earth, comforting and made things extremely fun! I had nerves coming into it but after 5 mins of talking with my Tandam Zach and photographer/Videographer Justin the Nerves disappeared. The comfort and confidence relayed by both Zach and Justin really rubbed off on me, they also did really well working together with other employees, all of these things made me relax and be completely present in the moment and fully experience the jump. Couldn't wait for the adventure and Skydive Indianapolis made the memory all I could have hoped for! My instructor was Andre and he made this 57 year old grandma feel safe and not nervous at all! As one other person wrote, I appreciated his sense of humor but on the plane he's all business latching you in! I highly recommend that if you want to knock it off that bucket list you won't be disappointed if you choose this location and this instructor!
