It was a great 5 star experience and an awesome bonding moment with my son. The instructors are polite and no-pressure, and each have thousands of jumps of experience. They make it a really fun day. There are a few caveats to consider before you go: 1. The liability waiver is nuts. There's no insurance and you cannot sue for injury. If you do sue, you have to pay THEIR legal bills! 2. The plane is tiny, like a flying tunafish can. Room only for two jumps, their instructors and a pilot, squeezed in. 3. The views of Lake Tahoe from the plane are awesome, but since it's in Minden, you're mostly seeing mountains and valleys (still gorgeous) while falling. 4. Since Minden is at 4,700 feet, the freefall is shorter than if you did a jump starting at sea level. Also, the landing is faster because the air is thinner than at sea level. 5. The video / photo package is worth it. The photos were so/so (shot with a GoProp and they distort faces and bodies) but the video is an amazing memory!! 6. No bathroom....just a porto potty. Ladies, go before you go. Again, five stars. Just be aware of what to expect. read more

Absolute blast! My friend wanted to do something outside of her comfort zone for her 30th birthday, so she chose skydiving, and I told her I'd go with her. I didn't expect to have that much fun, but from start to finish, everything was just spot-on. The vibe was perfect, the staff were super friendly, and everything was really well-organized. My instructor, Taylor, was awesome - super chill and made the whole experience so much fun. We were cracking up the entire time. I can see why this place has five star rating across the board. Professional, as well as attention to detail. Pretty cost-effective considering all the things that are included. My boys turned 18 this month, and all they wanted to do was skydive. Most of the states require that you are 18 years old in order to skydive. For many years, I took my kids to indoor skydiving so they would have The simulation with skydiving without the risk. After about 15 visits to Ifly, my kids turned 18, and now they wanted the real thing... Searching up skydiving, there are a few options. Truckee California, Sacramento, and this place. I made reservations and then called the guy directly. He let me know there were some discounts if I paid in cash. $240 with credit card, $220 cash. There's also the option of buying both pictures as well as a video of your adventures in skydiving. The price is not what I would consider consumer friendly, however if you want a video log of your dive, $70 is not horrible for just the video. Pictures and Video are $120. We had some car issues before heading out, I called the guy let him know. He was awesome about it. Told me not to worry about making it or being charged. He said just let him know about an hour before we're supposed to ride to see if we're going to make it. I called back after the car issue was fixed and he said he still had our spots open. We arrived to a hustling and bustling office where people were coming in and leaving. Kids had to watch a preflight video. They had to sign waivers also. After all of the administrative stuff, took the kids back match them up each with their own instructors and the instructors walk them through the sky dive suit, harness/brace and then off they went. My son was going up solo since his brother had his girlfriend, and somehow he talk to my wife into going up... Well I kind of helped to talk her into it lol. They have a landing zone, the gentleman designed to pick them up told me I could fall a mile and watch them land. The landing zone has a nice little lounge outdoor area with some couches and tables to picnic. Overall it was a great day to skydive. A little windy but that didn't effect the landing. Kids are already talking about going again. read more

Did my first ever skydive here and definitely recommend it! I was pretty excited/nervous beforehand, but the guys did a good job keeping it lighthearted and explaining the process. There's really not a lot of training or anything before you board the plane, which I appreciated because it just lets you get on with the experience. I jumped with Joey who had decades of experience and did a good job keeping me relaxed. The plane they use fits up to four (plus the pilot) at a time, so you can only go with two per party at a time. The plane is very small but it's a cool experience to see Tahoe from that perspective. The entire suit-up to jump took about 30 minutes. The views are absolutely unbeatable once you do jump. I would definitely recommend Skydive Lake Tahoe to anyone, especially if it's your first jump! read more

I have a lot of gratitude for this company and its amazing staff (especially my instructor / skydiving buddy Steve!) for helping me kick off my 30th year with so much hospitality, humor, and an INCREDIBLE experience. Everyone was super kind, professional, and tried to keep things light in the face of a (let's face it) terrifying activity. I've had bad experiences in the past with this sort of thing, but this was the opposite: even though I was about to jump from a plane, I felt very safe the entire time. One thing you should know, that I was concerned about before going, is that if you jump in the winter, wear clothes that are warm but still comfortable to move in. They will give you an awesome snowsuit / jumpsuit thing that will keep you warm. The one thing my friend wanted to do before she got married was skydive... I was a mess with anticipation! We were celebrating her bachelorette in South Lake Tahoe & drove 45 mins to get here. There were 6 of us skydiving, & besides the bride to be, we were all terrified. We watched a short video, signed our lives away, & were ready to go. They do skydiving in pairs here so we partnered up. We had Batman, Eli, & Mike as our skydiving guides. The 1st pair got suited up, flew up in a small plane, & jumped. Then the 2nd pair got ready, flew up, then jumped, then the 3rd. It took about 3 hours for us to all jump because we had to wait for the prior group to return. I had Batman as my partner & he was awesome! He was great at easing my nerves (I hated the fact that we were the last pair to go because I was so nervous!) He was so friendly, funny, & when we were up in the sky, gave me some cool facts about Carson, Lake Tahoe, & told me some awful jokes haha. All the guys were great in reassuring us that we were safe & that was so important to all of us. The plane ride had a lot of turbulence, but the views of the lake were worth it. So now the jump... It was INSANE! It is definitely a different feeling than a roller coaster drop, you know the feeling when your stomach sinks, it does not feel like that, thank goodness! The drop was 40 seconds & then Batman released the parachute & it was nuts just floating in the sky. He let me take hold so I could glide us around, that was pretty scary but super fun! It was so beautiful! I still cannot believe I did it, but luckily I spent $70 on a flash drive so I can relive the moment over & over again haha! For our group it was $180 pp, cash. read more

Wow what an incredible experience! All the staff was pleasant and friendly! My flight instructor was Batman and he was awesome! He explained the process thoroughly as we went along and told me what to expect. The flight up was all beautiful views and a stunning view of Lake Tahoe! Watching my nephew jump out of the plane was amazing! And then it was my turn. Woo hoo! Great adrenaline rush with a high speed descent and an unbelievable view! After the shoot deployed it was fun learning how the shoot worked. The flight down was fantastic. Batman was great with his instruction and all the fun stuff that goes along with this experience! Did my first skydiving! After completing the introductory video and signing all the waivers, I did have a little trepidation....they are pretty thorough. But I felt safe throughout. The staff is very kind and answered all my questions. The jumpsuits are a little dusty; but I looked great in mine! Joey, my tandem jumper, was humorous and took terrific pictures. It's a great experience, first flying over Lake Tahoe, then jumping out the plain! He did some tricks and I got to steer a little. I'd do it again. I do recommend taking something for motion sickness, something that could have been mentioned prior. I felt a little nauseous all that night and most of the next due to the motions while tumbling out the plain. Also, if it's during the colder season, take a face mask. My face was freezing until the parachute opened up. It took a few back and forth calls and messages left to get scheduled. But we settled on a time that worked for me and they were very friendly throughout. read more

A group of 7 friends and I jumped yesterday to celebrate a few birthdays this month. It was the absolute best day of my life. My insane boyfriend had Batman as his instructor and I had Eli. Kat and Chase were the other two instructors for our group and they made this the experience of a lifetime. Batman was willing to flip as many times as my boyfriend wanted to and Eli kept me from peeing myself. These guys are AWESOME! It was my first time skydiving and it was great. I had Brian, who is an experience skydiver who works here and at one of the locations in Las Vegas. He was super chill and loves what he does. We got into our military jumpsuits and got in the plane. 4 of us (includes the 2 instructors) got in this tiny plane and up we went. Yeah it got cold up there but once those doors open.... Legs up, chin down, and off you go with a few flips and enjoy the ride! Would I sky dive again? For sure. Would I recommend this company? Yup. The staff was great and you couldn't ask for a better experience. A skydive where you can see Lake Tahoe, can't get any better than that. The offered if I wanted pictures and/or video.. I said no at first. But after the dive, I said "why not, how often am I going to do this?" For both, I paid $120. I think you can get one or the other, but I forgot how much they cost separately. I had been skydiving before, in another tourist type destination. That facility made me feel like a part on a very slow moving conveyor belt. In no way was my experience with Skydive Lake Tahoe like that. We initially had an appointment scheduled for Saturday, but it was canceled due to wildfire smoke. They were very professional in calling in advance to explain the situation, and rescheduled us for the next day, calling again that evening to confirm. When we arrived, we were quickly given our paperwork and instructions, and within minutes were getting strapped into our harnesses. Mike and Batman were both personable, knowledgeable and professional. From start to finish, this was a great experience with a business that knows what it's doing and values its customers. read more
