Love racing the carts here. The carts drift and you are on track racing head-to-head with your friends. Over the last year they have made many changes and the track is run well. Discount nights throughout the week for racing and ax throwing. Check the website for details. If you plan to go on Friday night or weekends, a reservation is recommended as the track gets very busy. This is my favorite place to go and decompress from work. I race at least one night a week and have met many great people that have become regulars. read more

If there was ever a business that deserves to go out of business, it's this place. Don't bother to make a reservation, they'll take walk-ins and keep you waiting. We waited 30 minutes as the walk-in people raced only to be told we needed to wait 15 minutes more while they charged the cars. This is the second and last time we go there. This place has so much potential, but it is literally being run to the ground. We had reserved the track a few years ago for my son's birthday and figured we'd do it again for my husband. I emailed them and was quoted "$300 an hour for the whole facility", I don't remember exactly but I'm pretty sure that is what we paid for our son's but I could be wrong. Anyway, come the day of the party we arrive and are shown to the party room. The room is smaller than my bathroom and filthy, painters tape on the walls, and just dingy looking, but it is what it is. While we were waiting my son and husband did 1 race, and I walked out and told them that I would pay separately for that race and they told me not to worry about it. Now, while this is going on I heard the young kid on the phone quoting another person $150 an hour for the racetrack, so after a bit I go and ask what it is I am paying for vs the $150 price, he tells me that for $150 I just get the track, $300 does ax throwing too....yeah no we don't need to do ax throwing, racing is fine. People arrive, register and race once. There were 8 carts, even though 12 is what they are supposed to have and I was charged extra for having over 12 racers. Now in that first race, at least 2 of the cars died halfway through. Oh did I mention they only had 8 carts, and they race them, charge them for 20 or so minutes, then let the public race them charge them for 20 or so minutes, and then it's our turn again. So if you're not good at math let me break it down for you. There are 60 minutes in an hour, 40 minutes of that is charging the cars and about 10 minutes of that is a race, so that if every other race is a public race...that means we get one race an hour. I paid $300 for 2 races for 8 people each (while I should count the first race with my son and husband, I won't since I offered to pay for it and was told not to.) Had I just walked in and paid for each racer as a public person instead of a party I would have saved at least $100, probably more. Came here for my nephews birthday party and all the kids had a great time. They give the kids I believe 12 laps per ride.

This place is an absolute nightmare and safety hazard. I came here for one of my sons birthday parties and was initially so excited as I had never been. Upon arriving, everything was chaotic there was literally no structure. They DOUBLE BOOKED this poor 7 year olds birthday party. Keep in mind, this track only has 5 running race cars. Easy math: 45 kids, 5 race cars and only a two hour party in order for these kids to race twice. This two hour party turned into a four hour event because of the waiting for the other party to ride who they had double booked. They have an arcade to use which is nice, but no atm to get cash from. So not only are kids upset because they aren't riding the cars, they can't get cash to even play games! Now, let me get on the rant about safety. These are 7 year old kids we are talking about, they obviously have no driving skill so they crash a lot. The barriers they put in place to make the track are horrendous. When kids would crash- these huge blocks would literally fly up from the ground and into their cars. One child's seatbelt was literally around his neck at one point. Point of advice to the owner, if the track isn't built to suit crashes, then it should not be offered as a track for young children. I would never in one hundred years recommend this place. They clearly just want your money but don't want to put the money being made into their actual business. read more

Grandkids and I visited Carson Raceway and had a fun afternoon! It's a bit run down but my kids did not notice, had a few arcade games, also run down. Would have a visited a bit longer but the wait was a a little too long. We had to wait for the batteries to charge and I think they had food to order, not sure. We went for a party with teens. The two guys that were running it made sure that the private party was private. Nobody else was allowed to enter until our party was done. The teens loved the raceway. The axe throwing boards could use a changing, but we're still fun. read more

Had a reservation! The place opened at 12, we booked a one hour party at 12. By the time our reserved party started racing it was 12:45? The kids(and I do mean kids) running the place tells me they are letting other people go in between our party. This would have been fine had they not let two other groups go before our reserved party? I explained that we did have other things planned for the day. He said he's not concerned about the time???? Well, we are! We had other things going on in the day. They were telling us my 2 year old niece could ride in a lap without a helmet? This place is unsafe and unprofessional. Complete shit show. I noticed all the reviews are from last year! My family went on a Thursday evening and had such a great time! The staff (a young gentleman) was amazing! Great advice before the race and tips after the race! Great customer service! We will definitely go back to experience the axe throwing, escape room and play some pool and arcades! Walked in on a Sunday right when they opened and they claimed they couldn't take us (a party of 4) because they had a private party coming in in a half hour. Best local go-kart track especially for parties! We had a birthday party for my daughter at Carson Raceway and invited her school friends. I don't know who had more fun riding the karts, the kids or the adults. The party area they gave us was a good size. We ordered pizza to be delivered and brought our own dessert. All the staff there were super nice and accommodating. The kids ended the day at the arcade and loved the machines there. My daughter is already asking to go back. I think overall it was a great party and prices were reasonable. Would highly recommend as a party spot. read more

My daughter was put in a car she couldn't even reach the pedals in mind you she races at need 2 speed with zero problems, the worker that was supposed to be helping was too busy with his conversation with the receptionist to even care or check on them I had to tell them they need help. My daughter spun out multiple times and my other kids had to get out of their carts during the race and help her because he was nowhere to be found. Love this place! The workers are so knowledgeable and they even have real race cars inside to look at!! The owners are so genuine and eager to clean this place up, and that shows. We had an incredible time playing and felt valued the entire time we were there. The equipment is reliable and fast, not sluggish like other places we've been to in the past. This place was so much fun! Brought the family here for my cousin birthday, I was a little hesitant because I was afraid it would be too expensive, but it was a reasonable price, which was nice for a family of five. My five year old wasn't tall enough to be in a go cart and they don't offer a cart where you could drive together, which was kind of a bummer, but they have a game room for the kiddos who cant drive a cart to keep them entertained for a while. You check in and watch a short safety video, then the staff fits you with a helmet and neck brace and you are off racing. They also give you a sheet of your racing stats at the end so you can see how fast you were going and your best time. The track and the car are well maintained, so you don't have to worry about running out of gas mid lap. Check this place out for some racing fun! read more

We had reservations at 8 and at 10:25pm they continued to tell us of your next, then would say oh no this group is next. 3 times this happened and they said oh my bad knowing that they were doing it on purpose. Visiting Carson decided to give this place a try. Me and my friend bought 2 races. The floor is pretty slick so we were sliding around the entire track but it was soooo fun. I recommend to anyone who doesn't mind getting a bit sideways. Will definitely be back. read more

Very long wait to get into the races. This, however, is my only complaint with my experience on 08/25/21. I also wouldn't recommend to anyone expecting a professional environment, however I don't know why you would at a go kart track. The race my buddies and I did was fantastic. It took two and a half hours for me and my dad to do 1 race when there were only 6 or 7 people there! Extremely poor service and not worth the wait at all. Headed Downhill. I've been here 3 times over the last year, and each time I've driven past whatever Reno has to offer to go intentionally to Carson Raceway. But, it's clear no one is maintaining the track or replacing tires. My family and I have each experienced that the cars slide far more than they did a year ago. Poor tires plus never-cleaned track means a sloppy mess. We still have best-of-day track times, so we know what we're doing, but it's more work than it should be. Now, staff is ALWAYS friendly, but I've never seen the same employees twice, and invariably whoever helps us says, "I'm brand new". The waiver computers were broken during last week's visit, and even one of the soda machines was out of order. Who's running this place? Who owns this place? It's just clear that the owner doesn't give a hoot about it. While we've never waited more than 10 minutes for our turn because the place is empty, I now understand why. It's a shame, because with some attention the place could be really worthwhile. Don't bother. Pay more and just go indoor in Reno or to any of the outdoor options in the area. Bummer. read more

I absolutely loved it here. There was such a cool vibe. My cousin and I walked into the middle of a championship and since it was our first time, we were a little intimidated. The manager was super nice and treated us well. He made it more comfortable and very welcoming. The only suggestion I would have to make is...more music!! It was so weirdly quiet. I feel like if we're racing we should be getting pumped up! As a music enthusiast myself, I know how much music brings us all together. Starts conversations and makes new friends. Came here today with a group of friends. The place was clean and seemed well kept. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The go carts were awesome! The fact that the were electric was great, no gas exhaust to breathe in. The race was priced right! Works out to about 18 laps for 20 bucks. Me and my friends did three races. I would recommend this place for all ages and if I'm ever back in Carson city I'm going back! read more
