Oh boy! What an amazing experience! Would have given five stars but we're a bit saddened by the several micro-transactions. They said we couldn't go with our mask so charged us $68 for their masks which were much worse...and they didn't wear any, plus other charges, and a miscommunication about upgrading where they charged is $180 but we thought it was just going to be $80 a person. So $500 extra spent. That aside, this was a truly wonderful experience and an amazing thing to do. They fir you well into your harness and go over the "banana" jumping method. Very calm and patient. They' have a patio to see other jumpers, which is great. Note - it takes about 18-30 minutes to each jumping altitude, so it'll be a wait. Its worth it. The actual jump is indescribable so just go yourself. My co-jumper was amazing and did cool tricks with me. Definitely a lifetime memory!

Since my first tandem jump, I have convinced 5 friends to go with me for a total of 4 tandems! I have done 8,000ft, 15,000 twice, & 18,000 most recently. Even if it's your first time & you are nervous, I highly recommend at least going 15,000 or higher. It is sooooo sooo worth it! The hang time is next level. I am truly in love with being in the air. A super super special shout out to all my instructors Khoa, Sam, Joe, & Josh! They all gave me a unique & equally amazing time! I also have to give a shout out to Dani at the front desk, she is amazing! She was so helpful & encouraging. Thanks to her I am officially convinced to pursue my license. Thank you so much Go Jump for getting me higgghh

Everyone from the ground crew to my tandem pilot, Joe, made me feel welcome. My first jump with Joe was amazing. Even if I did not land on my feet, next time!! We drove from Yuba City to Santa Cruz. I wanted our first skydiving experience to be colorful and interesting with an ocean view. I enjoyed the whole experience especially sharing it with my fiancé and youngest sister, that made all the difference. I especially want to mention how accommodating their customer service is. All my questions and follow up questions were answered, yes I had follow up questions. did I mention this was my first time? I wanted to know if everyone was certified and how many jumps they had under their belt. See what I mean about being accommodating... I am looking forward to visiting them again, in fact I plan on doing this next year for my 40th!

Booked two tandem jumps to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday back in October, but had to reschedule twice due to unfavorable weather conditions. It was so worth the wait though -- the day we finally got to do our jump was gorgeously clear and we had such amazing views of the ocean as we were climbing to altitude. We did the 12,000ft jump which is currently the only altitude they're offering, and it was our first jumps. We checked in when we were supposed to and waited about 2 hours for our turn. Read the email they send you when you book! It tells you to accommodate 2-3 hours, and for good reason. Don't be crabby with the front desk person just because you didn't prepare adequately Because the jump is so close to the water, the marine layer can cause scheduling to be trickier (they have to wait for the fog to lift in the mornings for a safe jump, and nature is unpredictable!). Be kind to the workers and be patient, the wait is so worth it. I jumped with Kale (or, more adequately, Kale jumped and I fell with him haha) and my boyfriend jumped with Austin. Both of them were great! I was super nervous... generally afraid of heights and extreme sports, but wanted to be a good sport and accompany my bf for his birthday. Plus, it's great to experience at least once in your life. Kale was a very calming presence, talked me through everything, and was reassuring throughout the entire process. The free fall was exhilarating and terrifying all at the same time. Don't forget to breathe! And once the chute opens you get such a beautiful view of the coast, and it's just so peaceful and quiet up there. Highly recommend GoJump, it was a great experience all around. I'll update my review with pictures once we receive them.

If Yelp had ten stars, I'd give GoJump Santa Cruz ten stars. My absolutely terrific experience was because of the people at GoJump. I never sky jumped before signing up to jump from 18,000 feet, just below the altitude of commercial jets. The plane is modern, fresh, clean and looks really well maintained. Before heading to the plane to take off, my tandem instructor Khao Nguyen (5,600 jump veteran) interviewed me and my wife, and then during takeoff chatted me up and kept on videotaping. Somewhere between 8,000 feet and 18,000 feet, Khao provided me with a plastic oxygen hose to put into my nostrils. Then he pointed out landmarks like Moffett Field and Oakland in the distance to keep me focused, then telling me to sit straight and take deep yoga breaths. Out the plane we went. All the while Khao kept videotaping awesome footage. Landing was smooth and easy. The next day I received an edited video that exceeded all my expectations. Terrific quality with professional editing and soundtrack. A real keeper. I show it to my friends and they say it was if they were there with me. I also received photos, but initially they were small file thumbnails. Some of the photos are really awesome so I emailed asking for large files of the photos and sure enough, GoJump sent me the photos again, this time as large files. GoJump America in Santa Cruz, California is outstanding. The sky jump was safe and amazing, and the video is fantastic. My tandem instructor Khoa Nguyen is a true professional. This is the company to sky jump with! Thank you.

This was my first time skydiving and I'm so glad I chose to do it with Go Jump Santa Cruz! I jumped from 15,000 ft with a 5-min video that's well edited and 200+ photos. We only intend to jump from 8,000 ft but the staff convinced us that 15,000ft would be way more enjoyable. The coaches are all awesome and professional. I jumped with Joseph and I felt safe with him all the time as he gave clear instructions. The coaches also tried to make jokes to build up 'connections' between us on the plane...wish I had a better cultural context so I would understand them We were in the air for about 5 minutes with about 1.5 minute of free fall. I really like the part when I got to control the parachute after it opens. Just felt like I got down before I've enjoyed enough of that scenery. Will definitely do it again! We booked for 2pm, and when we got down it was pass 4pm. It wasn't the company's fault that the other two customers were late so we had to wait to get on the plane, and we were prepared to stay there for 2 hours anyhow. Also, it was Monday so it's more chill and less crowded.

Second time skydiving from 18,000 feet! First time flying with GoJump. Santa Cruz is by far the most beautiful place to skydive in California. The facility is so nice, the airplane is so cool, the coastline view is epic and Dani at the front desk is very sweet and knowledgable. Big thanks to my tandem instructor, Pedro and Dani! FYI: No extra charge for skydive video and photos. Included with cost of jump. Unforgettable experience.

Wow! If you're like me and have to look through all the reviews before going to a place, no need to look any further for Go Jump Santa Cruz. 5 stars! It was about an hour and a half drive from San Francisco where I was visiting. We came in on a Thursday, and were told to check-in right away because our plane was leaving in 5 minutes, so no wait at all. My dive instructor Ian was awesome! He got me geared up right away, and was such a fun easy-going guy, there was no way I could be scared jumping with him. The whole time before/during/after your jump there are 2 go- pros your instructor uses so that you go home with 200+ photos and a 5-minute video of the whole process. This was my first time skydiving, I jumped 15,000 ft and I already can't wait to go 18,000 ft next time. The view was my favorite part of the jump as it made it that much more peaceful. We even got a free birthday tee and nice souvenirs to take home. A link with our photos and videos were sent in about an hour after we jumped. The whole process only took about 1 hour as well. The staff was amazing, the jump was amazing, and if you're looking for an amazing, thrilling experience go jump with Go Jump- Santa Cruz!

Came here for my first jump! I was extremely nervous and they were happy to answer all of my questions to ease my mind. I jumped with Caleb. I was scared beyond reason and I felt like I was going to die. Caleb kept asking if I was okay on our way up because I'm sure I looked like I was going to pass out. I did not and I ended up loving it.

My friends and I came here for a birthday and the experience was amazing! The staff maintained really good COVID protocols and made sure every one had masks and neck gaiters on at all times. Social distancing was maintained up until we all had to get on the plane together. My instructor really made sure that I was comfortable with everything and was really funny. He made sure that I was okay the whole plane ride up because I informed them I had a huge fear of heights. My instructor pushed me out of the plane pretty quickly that I didn't even have time to second guess the situation and thank god for that lol The jump itself felt pretty long but was super quick in actuality. Definitely something that I would again given an occasion to. My friends and I all jumped from 15k feet and it actually doesn't take that long to reach the ground. The 15k jump is much more worth than the 8k ft in my opinion. Definitely a memorable day :) Also, wear something sleeveless and shorts if you want to feel the air against your skin, it's such a refreshing feeling

When you are so used to being controlled or abused by your mother and want to make your own birthday actually yours and NOT your mothers, you escape and risk your life to truly be FREE! It was super easy. Booked this on the internet last month. It was set and easy. Gave me something to look forward to and really get to celebrate life along with losing my stomach. The day finally approached. I had already spent one day enjoying Santa Cruz! Beautiful beach. Along with a bunch of Yelping. Showed up and it was postponed from 11 am to 1pm. They said it was due to weather conditions. Waited until then and showed up. There I was told it wasn't going to happen today due to weather conditions. Disappointed! I was told I could either reschedule for another day or get a refund. Since I went there mainly for that I just took the refund. Still really bummed. Birthday present didn't happen. Maybe some other time. The refund was put completely back in my account by the next day. The workers were nice too. Still disappointed. Sucks when you look forward to it for weeks and it doesn't go through. =(

The greatest high I've ever had!

They were amazing! The instructors were nice and very good at keeping my nerves down. It was my first time doing it. The receptionist was also very good at her job, talked me into doing the 18k jump instead of the 15k jump I had planned. It was totally worth it though. 90 seconds of free falling!!! The view of the bay was gorgeous..... The high I felt from the adrenaline, literally stayed with me a week. I can't wait to jump again.

Amazing experience, excellent customer service. The front desk is very welcoming and helpful. Our instructors, Charlie and Volker are very friendly, and they had plenty of experience. Our whole experience was amazing 10/10 experience!

I asked to reschedule to a later Friday and they requested a doctors note for proof or they'd keep my $100 deposit as a "no show fee" (which is a lot for me as a broke college student). I had mentioned I am not comfortable asking for a doctors note due to the severity of the situation, my boyfriend & many of his family ended up getting weeks off work, that's how severe the situation was. In the end I GOT GHOSTED!!! A front desk person stated management would get back to me--They haven't replied to my text or email which was sent 5/1!!! There were 2 other attendees other than my boyfriend and myself, so our class was a total of 4 people, all of us beginners. One person had taken classes before, but was doing more lessons in order to get his hang 1 license. Mike starts the class by introducing himself and teaching us some safety lessons. We put together the hang glide together as a group, and he teaches us the different parts of the hang glide and how they work together. Then, we roll the glider up a small hill and he gives us some pointers on how to approach the lesson and what to do what we start running and once the glider starts taking off! The lesson was from about 8am to noon. Mike REALLY works for the money he makes during these lessons - he is running up and down the hill, and coordinating to make sure that everyone gets plenty of time on the hang glide. His passion for this sport is palpable, and it's clear he is friends with all the other folks at the area / park that morning who are regular hang gliders. This is a really fun activity to do on a weekend morning, not to mention the VIEWS are amazing. Attaching some photos as proof! I would 100% recommend Bay Area Skydiving for anyone thinking about trying it out. The staff was amazing and made me feel welcome. If I wasn't going back to school I would be there every weekend!

Me: "I told you, I just want a nice dinner so I can put on my fancy pants and get my $15 cocktail!"…read more Him: "But, it's your birthday! just dress sporty. You'll like it, it's a surprise!" I love surpises, but hate that he doesn't tell me anything except "dress sporty!" :( I put on my stretchy pants and work out top thinking, he'll take me kayaking to Monterey since this is where we're heading. Oh boy. We took a detour to Hollister and I'm like, "are we going horseback riding? or riding a tractor? coz I ain't dressed for skydiving!!" When we arrived, I was so surprised to find that we are going to ride a GLIDER PLANE! :0 Have you seen these things? it weighs about 900 lbs. (super light!!), has long thin glider wings (hence the name) and can reach altitudes of about 4000ft. (HIGH) .... for a plane WITHOUT ANY ENGINES. That's right. Nada. So, how do you get up there in the blue yonder? You get hooked onto a tow plane by a thin piece of rope (I was doubtful, but it did the job!) once you reach a certain altitude as determined by the pilot, the rope gets cut off and then ... you plunge to your death!!! Kidding. We actually stayed in the air quite effortlessly. It got a bit bumpy and I felt nauseated for a bit since there wasn't enough fresh air in that small plane. The fiance and I were squished in the backseat with our legs stuffed in the smallest of spaces and his arm was wrapped around my shoulder because it was really TIGHT in there. Also, I think it would've been better if I wore shorts instead of my stretchy pants which was made of non-breathable material and it was 97 degrees in Hollister that day. Yikes. We circled around Fremont Peak, gazed at the fields below and stared in the distance at the blue waters of Moneterey. It was incredibly peaceful up there. The flight lasted for 40 mins and then safely landed. For an engineless plane and having small wheels, I was shocked at the smooth experience #mindblown. I always tell the fiance that experiences are the best gifts and this one is no different! :) So thankful that I got to experience a fantastic flight with my love! Also, I got my nice birthday dinner after and got to wear my fancy pants too.

We the weather being so unpredictable we had to wait. I was fine with wait because i do value my life. I had the chance to cross off a major item from my bucket list. A hot air balloon ride and wow, what an experience! The views were absolutely breathtaking. Floating high above the landscape, seeing everything from a completely new perspective, was truly magical. The sunrise was especially beautiful as we drifted along, and the silence up there, broken only by the loud occasional burst of the burner, was unlike anything I've ever experienced. That said, there were a few things to consider. The heat from the burner can be overwhelming, especially if you're not prepared for it. I didn't wear a hat, and I really wish I had and i am short 5'2 those blasts of hot air can get pretty intense when they hit you directly! So, if you're planning this trip, definitely bring something to cover your head. The landing was a bit of a wild ride, too. The ground was much harder and more uneven than I expected, and we didn't quite know where we'd land until we were almost on top of it. Also getting in and out can be extremely challenging. It's hard climbing into and out of the basket and it's very tightly packed. Not a lot of space to move. I knew the risks going in but the whole experience was so worth it. Even with those little surprises, it was absolutely incredible. Would I do it again? Definitely not! Despite the heat and the bumpy landing, the beauty of the experience makes it all worthwhile and a one timer for me. I highly recommend it if you're looking for something unique and unforgettable to add to your list of adventures. Just don't forget your hat!
