Don't eat here it's disgusting, the food is super unseasoned. The Mac and cheese is as nasty as it looks. Don't waste your money

We stayed at the Legoland Resort for 2 nights, so we had breakfast at Brick's twice. The food was…read moreregular. Eggs and tater tots weren't seasoned, which I appreciated since I have a 10 month old and we try to avoid salted foods for him. We only ordered bacon on one occasion but ended up with both bacon and sausage. I can't complain cuz I liked both. We paid extra for the strawberries and cream pancakes for my daughter and it wasn't worth extra pay at all. It seemed like they used frozen pancakes. The strawberry compote was super fake tasting or at least very bottled up and not freshly made. The self-service foods were fine. Good juice selection. I think they're better off letting families make their own waffles and pancakes if it's too much work to make them. Servers were nice. Pretty attentive and helpful. The 2nd morning I ordered the Salpaccino drink and they got it wrong twice. It was bitter. The menu said it's supposed to have vanilla syrup and whipped cream. The 3rd try was when they got it right. Apparently they forgot the cinnamon and whipped cream. I literally can't be the only one who orders this drink for them to get it wrong twice. We'd go there again only cuz there isn't another choice of food when you stay at the resort.

This is our third time dining here. The other visits were in December 2025 and April 2036. Today we…read morehad breakfast at bricks and ordered the veg.sausage. We put that we don't eat eggs and the manager came to talk to us. He said the veg sausage has eggs in it. I said "seriously? Because the last two times we were here, we talked with managers as well, told them we do not eat eggs, and they told us the veg sausage is ok to consume". He double checked and yes, the sausage has eggs in it. He said the brand hasn't changed in a couple years. I was so upset. What's the point of talking to a manager the other two times if they don't even really check ingredients?! This is a major food safety issue and I'll won't be renewing my elite pass. The hotel and Legoland are worth the visit, but the restaurant is grossly negligent.

The shrimp was cooked perfectly. The slaw and sauce on both were amazing, and the crab cake was crispy and tasted great. Then for dessert we got the tres leches. I get this at every place that has it lol and this was one of the best I've ever had. The caramel on top was a nice add. Service was quick and attentive, and the inside is super cute. Obsessed with this place! Will be back

Here's a polished review that stays honest while keeping it fair and balanced:…read more Agave in New Paltz offers a modern, fusion-style take on Mexican-inspired cuisine rather than authentic Mexican food. If you're expecting traditional Mexican flavors, just know this restaurant leans more toward upscale fusion than classic Mexican dishes. The food is good, and everything we've tried has been flavorful, although the portions are on the smaller side. The prices are reasonable for the quality and presentation, and the atmosphere has more of a cozy, date-night vibe than a casual Mexican restaurant. One suggestion I'd make is to expand the salsa selection. For a restaurant centered around Mexican-inspired cuisine, offering a few house-made, original salsas would really elevate the experience and make it feel more authentic. The restaurant itself is fairly small, so it's not the best choice for large groups. Parking can also be a challenge since there's no dedicated lot--it's street parking only, so be prepared to drive around until you find a spot. Overall, Agave is a nice place if you're looking for creative fusion dishes in a relaxed setting. Just go in expecting modern Mexican-inspired cuisine rather than traditional Mexican food, and you'll likely enjoy the experience.
