Tonight we were extremely disappointed, got a prime rib dinner was covered with a black greasy substance that did not taste good ( this was also on and under the veggies and potatoes) When we reported this to our server he went back and asked the kitchen and was told this is how they do it. Funny how it was not the case the 4 other times we have enjoyed it there. We were not offered an opportunity for them to give us a new piece. I walked up at 11:30 am on Saturday, a half hour after they were supposed to open. They were closed, and while I chatted with a local fellow who was also waiting for them to open, three other potential customers came and left. I gave up and left at 11:50. They don't have hours posted outside the business, so all one has to go on is what they list online. They clearly don't honor those hours. Who knows when they're open. read more

Was looking for a new restaurant to try and came upon this one. Many restaurants are closed Tuesday night, so this was one of the few I found open. Before going, I read a few mediocre reviews. In short, I was pleasantly surprised, the food was rather good, delicious Potatoe bacon soup and my Prime Rib was done just right. The atmosphere was reasonable, and service was pretty good too. Of course it wasn't perfect, there was one or two minor things I could nitpick about but that wouldn't really be fair because, overall, it was a good and the prices were relatively competitive. read more

Came here about 4pm on a Friday. A friend had barbarian pretzels that looked good so I ordered a Corona and pretzels. After about 30 minutes I ask the waitress if the pretzels were coming out and she goes they will be right out. About 30 minutes later she asks of I got the pretzels which I said no. She comes back and says they are out after waiting a hour. She offers a bunch of other stuff which I just got chicken fingers. They came right out and were actually really good. After the long wait maybe a drink on the house for the trouble would have been nice. She was very pleasant tho and the place is clean. Waited 15 minutes for a server and I went to the bar to let the bartender know we were seated in case they did not know we where there and another 10 minutes go by no one came so we left. Very disappointed we have been here many times it seems like they only cared about the bar patrons read more

The drinks were amazing, I got the frozen margarita (for this alone I'd come back) my brother got the frozen dirty banana daiquiri , he loved it too . I recently stopped in on a weeknight with a group of friends. It was around 5pm and the crowd of customers was slowly starting to pick up. The waitress promptly took the beverage orders of our group, whom were seated at a few tables. She came back and took our food orders, which were all appetizers. The food came out quickly - the orders were correct and the food was fresh. She checked back on us to see how the food was and as soon as we finished eating, she came back to clear the table. Staffing levels seemed to be low. The waitress was running ragged and people from my group who wanted beverages had to get up and go to the bar to get refills. Not the fault of the waitress, she was running back and forth without a break. The prices were reasonable and the establishment was clean - inside and outside. Stopped by after a visit to Angry Orchard, about 10 minutes away. Walked into an empty restaurant on a Saturday afternoon, but we decided to take a table at the outdoor patio. Our server Melanie was super friendly, and attentive. Their frozen daiquiri special drinks were delish! Their dry rub Cajun wings were very good, fries were good. We had a Ruben, pulled pork sandwich, and a grilled chicken sandwich special. Everybody was very happy with their lunch! If you're planning a trip to any of the wineries or Angry Orchard, you should definitely consider stopping here for a bite. I saw they have dinner specials throughout the week too, would definitely consider coming back for dinner! read more

Had been wanting to come here for a while and when we learned that karaoke was back on a Wednesday night we figured we'd give it a shot. Walked in and saw the bar and most bar tables were full so we sat in the dining room just near the door to the kitchen and where the karaoke was set up. Our server Dawn was very nice and friendly. They have a nice menu and they had about five or six different soup options and a chili which was great. We shared the potato skins appetizer - they were large potatoes - I just wished they had more cheese and bacon as the potatoes were a bit dry. Hubby had the chicken noodle soup - I ate a few bites it but it was salty. I had a salad which was just lettuce with one slice of onion, one slice of cucumber and one slice of tomato - nothing to write home about. He had a swiss burger with sweet potato fries - he enjoyed the burger and fries - I had a taste also and both were good - he removed the bun as it was a bit hard. I had the shrimp scampi with spaghetti - the shrimp were very good - the pasta was fine - there was a little too much butter/wine sauce for me but I still enjoyed it. We shared a chocolate chip lava cake for dessert and it was good - ice cream and cake had a little bit of an aftertaste from the fridge/freezer but it was still good. We enjoyed the karaoke set up and all the singers - Carl is a great DJ. All in all we will be back on another Wednesday and will bring friends to enjoy the food and the entertainment. read more

I travel through all sizes of towns on business and stumbled upon Parkview and could not have been more impressed!! I got the Caesar Wrap for lunch with the sweet potato fries and it was incredible. Dinning area and bar was extremely well kept and inviting. Service was great as well even with only one person behind the bar and waiting on tables. Highly recommend for a lunch spot and can only imagine it picks up during dinner with even more menu options and drink choices. Final thoughts: Great small town place for lunch and has the feel for great spot for drinks all night long! read more

I love my town and after hearing some mixed reviews about this beautifully renovated building I decided to try it. The building is gorgeous. My service was terrible and I truly love waitresses and support them. Unfortunately, she was scattered and unable to meet the demands of her job. No water for more than 30 minutes despite asking is a bit much. The food was okay. In an area where there are many top notch restaurants this just meets the okay bar food class. The drinks were strong so maybe that's what they want to be known for. This place has the potential to be more but it does fall short and...the staffing issues will complicate the service and experience for anyone coming in. I hope to see it strive to be a better place to achieve some recommendations by better staff servicing and some minor tweaks to the food experience rather than the cheaper shortcuts they are taking. read more

A bunch of ladies went out to enjoy some live music which was very nice! Two people had some food and got sick so their night was cut short. We had a waitress who disappeared at some point never to be seen from again... but we had good company and plenty of drinks. Had a very pleasant Friday night dining experience at the Parkview House . Spacious, good food, reasonable prices, good variety menu and live music. All 4 of us are looking forward to returning. The ambiance and upgrades were very well done. The service was also very good. We went for lunch and sat in the bar area where we were promptly waited on by the bartender. We started with an appetizer of Mac and cheese with beef bits. The sauce was watery and not very tasty, the beef bites were dried out and it suffered from a lack of crunch because there were no breadcrumbs. Essentially just lackluster. The fish tacos fared better and were tasty with perfectly cooked fish but the supposedly homemade guacamole was more like mayonnaise. Hard to believe its homemade because there was not one chunk of avocado. Tasted more like it came from a bag of pre-made fast food. My friend had a bison burger with fries and said it was good although a bit on the pricy side. Hopefully with time they'll get the kinks out because the area can certainly use a decent local restaurant. read more

First time we went the meal I ordered was good. This time ... not so much. Ribs came out cold (after I was told it was the last rack). Sent it back only to get it back after 10 mins reheated and missing one of the ribs. I refused the meal at this point and they removed it from our bill. We went last week to give it a 3rd try after one bad dinner and one good lunch (new chef). We read there was a new CHEF, so I called to ask if she was cooking that night, I was told "Yes!" The 6 of us arrived with high hopes for our meals. One more table eating, so no worry about long wait time...got our salads, no bread, appetizer Brussels sprouts were NOT "crispy," as stated on menu, more like boiled....chicken franchise was not good-chicken was not tenderized, no lemon, and pasty, floury , undercooked, not sauteed nor browned...hamburgers tasted and looked like frozen burgers. Why? Daughter brought chicken home, next day, it was a block of margarine-not butter..yuck. Nice inside, but very bright and no music to block bar noise. Went to the Parkview for the first time last week for lunch with a friend. The place is beautiful. The bathrooms are immaculate. The bar area is very impressive. Our waitress was a sweetheart. We both had the Philly Cheese Steak - disappointed. This was a "steak" with melted cheese and onions on a roll. Not what we expected. The steak was OK, but I expected sliced steak with melted cheese smothered in onions - you know, Philly Cheese Steak!! I will go back, but not for Philly Cheese Steak - unless they learn how to make it the right way. Otherwise I would have given it a 4 or a 5. Will try another dish next time. read more
