We make several trips a year from Columbus to Louisville and we're always looking for good spots for lunch or dinner. This location offers easy on/off access to and from I-71/75. Yeah, yeah, it's a Cincinnati thing. I've often taken visitors from out of town. Some love it and some don't. I used to have a boss in Toronto who always wanted me to bring cans of Skyline chili with me. Currently, I am on a loc carb diet. The main low carb options are the coney chili bowl, buffalo salad, and Greek salad. The Greek salad is awesome and sometimes I have them add chicken to it. read more

Pulled up to this location and was welcomed by Melanie and her crew. Crackers & hot sauce as a lil appetizer, a coney and chili cheese fries as my meal, with a side of Barq's red cream soda. For a fast food spot their service (at least Melanie and her team) was awesome, very welcoming. Almost felt like we were friends! I think if their fries were better (maybe crinkle cut or even if they had tater tots) my review would be a 5 star for sure. The chili is bomb but the fries could be improved. I love all Skyline chili restaurants. I absolutely love everything Skyline. This location was amazing, friendly staff and all of my favorites. I grew up on Skyline , but moved very far away, so when I get around a Skyline and get a chance at a few cheese coneys. I jump. Head first. I can not help myself. This specific place was very clean and our food came fast, it was well made too. I encourage anyone that finds themselves anywhere near this Skyline to swing in and enjoy one of my favorite things to eat. read more

Two hungry travelers walk in and grab some open stools at the counter. Service was immediate and so friendly. Within minutes two delicious plates of food appear before them and they are kind of dazzled by the efficient setup and the generous portions. The three-way was fabulous, full of flavor, and quite filling. The cheese was so good but more than I could eat which is rare for cheese. Highly recommend! read more

Obviously I hated it. Went to Cincinnatti for the Reds game on 7/6/24 and hoped to get Skyline at the park or in town. The ballpark does not have spaghetti. Dafuq? The two locations near the ballpark were closed. Double dafuq?? We headed south for Louisville which served as home for a couple weeks. Saw this as we were heading south and got to this location as fast I could get off the freeway. Delicious. FAST friendly service. Restaurant is clean and staff were all great. My first time eating Cincinnati chili! I was with one of my colleague that is a local so talked him in to Skyline. I got it 5 ways. He got it 3 way and also ordered 2 Chile cheese dogs. It was quite a pile of food on both our plates. There was a long silence while we both enjoyed inhaling our food. I enjoyed the meal. I would say it's my favorite combination but it was good. The restaurant reminded me of a fast food joint with traditional booths and decor. Service was good. No issues there. My colleague said there are those love it or those that hate it. The other diners got the traditional menu items and I got the vegetarian chili wrapped in a tortilla with lettuce and tomato on top. We drove from florida going to pittsburgh and needed to eat late at 9pm on sunday. After seeing wendy's closed we noticed skyline open. Always friendly service! However, last night we received our second "luke cool" serving of a three way. We were hungry so we just ate quick and didn't want to complain as we usually love it here. Please check the heaters on spaghetti and chili, something is up. You usually walk in and can see steam rising over the chili and now I will look for it. Ate here while traveling through. Food is typical chili dog and I believe on par with the chain. It's a niche that hits a spot. The chili has good flavor and the dogs are good, nothing is overly greasy despite the generous cheese portions. The service was great. Our daughter fell on the sidewalk outside the restaurant and skinned her elbow and knee slightly. The server offered bandaids and brought them promptly, so sweet! She was very nice to the kids too. This is such a great skyline location! It's hard to review a chain but I'll try. This location is rarely every super busy, especially during the week. I bring my kids here before CCD classes at church and we get in and out in under an hour. The food is always good, the service is excellent and we get out in great time. Good job guys!! read more

While the reviews looked good, we walked in and walked right out. Every table we looked at had dirty plates on it. The tables were not wiped. It was 7:45pm, but does this mean that nobody cleared tables from the dinner crowd? I know help is hard to come by these days, but how can you serve customers in this environment? This Skyline is always super clean, very friendly staff that do an excellent job and the food is always perfectly prepared! Vera and Adrianna picked Skyline for a late night dinner date after their school Father Daughter Sweetheart Social this year! That was a proud Dad moment and I think that we found a new tradition! We love to make oyster cracker bombs with the tasty Skyline hot sauce while waiting for our order! Our entire family is oyster cracker killers so we definitely enjoy the bottomless refills! The oyster crackers are also amazing on the 4-ways with hot sauce! A 4-way is our favorite entree, it's spaghetti covered in their secret recipe Cincinnati style chili, with finely diced onions and loaded on top with finely shredded cheddar cheese! Be prepared for some different kind of chili if you are not from where they have them. There is a hint of cinnamon in their chili and LOTS of cheese. I LOVED it though. Most people, from the South or out West, do not understand the hype as it is not your traditional chilli made with peppers and it definately is not salsa or otherwise known as chilli. Here in Cincinnati we do things a little different. Our style of chilli consist a chocolate meat like sauce covering spaghetti, loaded with cheese. Do not be confused by this yummy plate! It does not have spice or heat to it at all! It's just the Mid-west way of eating chilli! The service at this location is awesome! Very friendly staff. I love skyline and will continue to eat it once a week until I die. But every location I've ever been too has forgotten something in my order, or not had it at the location! Not all locations sell potato's and my gf has celiacs so she can't eat coneys and spaghetti. What makes this location even worse was the fact they don't sell potato's and have forgotten or messed up my order numerous times. Skyline also doesn't have a easy form of communication to store managers and corporate which is extremely unusual for such a big franchise! Stopped in on an impromptu visit looking for chili. I have family from this area and I heard that Cincinnati is known for chili. So my boyfriend and I decided to go to the nearest chili place from where we were staying. We walked in and the restaurants atmosphere was very calm and clean. We decided to take a seat at the bar because it overlooked the kitchen area. Once I sat down, Madison, our waitress immediately came over and asked for our drink order. Moments later she came back with our drinks and asked us if we wanted to order. I decided to order the chili cheese fries 5-ways and my boyfriend went with two chili cheese Coneys 5-ways as well. We watched as our meals were prepared. For the fries the restaurant uses a flash fryer which I thought was amazing. The flash fryer saves on calories and oil spill. When we took a bite into our meal we were immediately confused. The way that Cincinnatians enjoy their chili is very unique. Their chili is grinder down into a paste like liquid and beans, onions, and cheese. Not something that I am familiar with as a southern girl. The chili also had a hint of cinnamon. This is a nice stop if you want to try what the locals enjoy however I don't believe I will make another trip back. I prefer cowboy style chili rather than the paste like chili Cincinnatians enjoy. However, I did love the service. Madison was amazing and she even topped our trip off with a nice little note on the survey card. Overall I have to give this restaurant two ratings. The food deserves a D; whereas, the service and and restaurant appearance deserves an A. The restaurant is clean, the service is excellent, the bathrooms were very clean, and the restaurant has plenty of space. I've been a fan of Skyline Chili ever since I first tried it a little over a year ago, and this location is a perfect representation of why I have to eat it on every visit to Ohio and Kentucky. The place is spotless. You'd think for a restaurant specializing in a messy food, there would be spills and smudgy menus - but every square of in of this place looks like it was scrubbed with a toothbrush. The servers and cooks all greet you with excitement. Every server I've ever dealt with at Skyline has always had a very good attitude, and this location was no different. She took order with a smile, and a cook brought our order out the same way. We were checked on frequently, and our glasses stayed full. The food is amazing. If you're reading a review about Skyline, you aren't looking to see if the menu is broad or if the food is something you might want to try. You're looking to see if this Skyline is going to be as amazing as you've heard or experienced in the past. Yes. Yes it is. Parking was really easy in a big open lot, and the price was just right. I ordered the 4-way because the beans make the dish. The bf got a Chili Deluxe Burrito (they have burritos?!) and it was massive. He finished about 3/4 of his and I inhaled my entire plate. The bib saved my sweater because, sure enough, I had specks of chili all over it. Adulting is hard, okay? It was a cheap meal, after tip maybe $18ish. Win.
