Skyline quickly followed up with an emailed estimate, which I appreciated since other contractors I met with never followed up with written quotes. Skyline's quote was in the same ballpark of others, but not the cheapest. I chose them because they felt the most reliable, and Raz also offered to include some additional services I needed, such as gutter and downspout cleaning and re-sealing roof fixtures, which added value. The repair itself was deceptively difficult, since it required re-shingling a portion of the roof and re-hanging the gutter. It ended up taking two days instead of the expected one, but Raz was easy to contact and responsive to my concerns. I did a lot of research before making a decision and Dean answered all of my questions with excellent answers, patience and with very timely responses. However, Skyline Energy Roofing sent me a reminder on June 20, July 7, July 18, July 24, Aug 1, Aug 25, and Sept 1. Josh was the first person to contact me from the company and was the point person project manager for the whole project to completion. Josh was the third person I talked to about the project, which was initiated by my insurance company canceling my homeowners insurance for 'unacceptable roof conditions.' Josh was the first person to be straightforward about my situation and knowledgeable on how to approach it; 'They want you to get a new roof with a certified guarantee and warranty. I could try and 'fix' it but I guarantee they won't accept the job.' I called my insurance and inquired and found out this was the truth. We had a leak in our flat roof which required a complete roof replacement and Josh provided us with all the possible solutions and information to help us make an informed decision. Having to pay for a complete roof replacement isn't an easy pill to swallow but we feel like we received extremely high quality service for a good value. Our roof replacement also required our solar panels to be removed and Skyline helped arrange for that work to be done so we didn't have to go through the trouble of finding a different contractor to do that.
