Some lovely raspberry bushes that I had planted a decade earlier literally cracked the pipe leaving our home and created a 70% blockage. After the diagnosis, Tom suggested replacing that section of pipe along with an exterior cleanout trap to keep such nastiness from happening in the future. I was thrilled because - despite COVID19 concerns - we were expecting a few folks to come to town for the holiday weekend and having the guest shower in working order would be a blessing. And having the new faucet on the deck would make cleaning (before and after) much easier. Sadly, they weren't able to come by that same day - due to another client emergency - but they called that Monday and arrived within about 15 minutes of their call. They were friendly, courteous and appeared extremely knowledgeable. We talked about pets - Taco the Macaw sounds amazing and they also showered Gizmo with compliments - so I was super impressed and pleased with them. They told me that they needed to work up an estimate and if the parts came in - they should be able to do the job that same day. Told me to give them about an hour. That same day, the office called me, and left a vmail, asking for my email address so they could send me the quote - so emailed them back. After not hearing anything for 3 hours, I called the technicians. They explained that they had an emergency and wouldn't be able to get back out to me but they said they would call the office to see if they could dispatch someone else. I told them that I understood that they were busy and I would try to call the office myself. Unfortunately, when I called - I got the answering service. And I was advised that 'they must have closed early.' Note - when Theresa (sp?) emailed me later that evening, she said that they didn't close early - they have adjusted hours due to COVID19 - so the hours listed on Google, Yelp, voicemail, etc - are incorrect. Since that point - I exchanged emails and called the office (once again on Wednesday) to find out the status of the estimate / getting me scheduled. I spoke to 'Theresa' (sp?) and she informed me that she hadn't sent it to me because 'the guys hadn't sent it to her yet.' She went on to explain that it wasn't 'just them' and that she was having trouble "getting her estimates from all her guys." When I asked if she could give me an estimate / ballpark when I might hear from her - she told me quite bluntly 'I don't know - but you'll hear from me as soon as I know something.' In other words - don't call us - we'll call you. She sounded quite annoyed with me. I know I'm not an emergency client, nor am I a big-dollar / big-ticket, high-end job - but I'm proud of my home - and try to take care of. For that reason - I value skilled, courteous tradespeople. People with integrity and treat me as though they value me as a client. I'm especially disappointed at this situation - because Levi and Shawn and I discussed the fact that I've had several others (not plumbers, but handyman), come out, diagnose, give me an estimate and then just disappear. They assured me that would not be the case with them and that the job was very straightforward. I'm sure these guys are great - but my experience was lackluster. And before anyone PM's me about racism and finding a black or minority plumber - I don't think these guys don't value me because I'm black - I think they have developed a good reputation, making them highly sought after - so they don't prioritize small jobs like mine.

Now I have to take a day off work to fix the job that they did. They left the replaced soil high and uneven, to the extent that when my grass does come back, there is no hope of me being able to cut it with my mower. When I worked in the service industry, we took pride in the job we were hired to do. We performed the job to a high standard and at the end of the job, we swept up the floors, wiped off any fingerprints, and left the job site in as good or better shape than when we arrived. We did this all while showing the customer the utmost respect. When the individuals performing this task were asked what would be done about the final state of the landscape, they were flippant and responded along the lines of "It is not our responsibility". I find it ironic that the company is named "Hearing Pluming", and yet is entirely tone def to the consumer. If you're looking for someone to destroy your yard, then definitely go with Hearing Pluming. Otherwise, I would look elsewhere.

The county engineer came out and they couldn't even locate where our line met the main and they called in the county plumber which happens to be Donald Hearing from Hearing Plumbing. His crew was incredibly quick and professional locating (unfortunately on my side) a tree root that had grown into and filled my sewer line which happened to be 15ft underground. Donald not only had it done the next day, he installed a clean out that I was previously missing inclusive with the repair. Although I hated paying for it right before Christmas, his pricing was more than fair and he was quick. I am incredibly grateful.

Dupree does NOT FOLLOW REQUIRED manufacturer installation guidelines. The guidelines are not…read moresuggestions or recommendations, they MUST be followed, according to manufacturer documentation. The first tankless hot water system Dupree installed failed bc they did not install an air intake vent as required. They replaced that unit and ran an air intake vent. The unit never worked properly and during a video call with a tech from the tankless co., they instantly saw that the fresh air intake vent was going the opposite direction of the exhaust vent. Guidelines state vents MUST run parallel and exit at the same side of the house within 24in of each other. Dupree installed the intake air vent at the easiest location, out the back of our house just above the basement. Our exhaust is on the roof, 2+ stories above the intake vent. They are NOT exiting on the same side of the house and are they are NOT a max of 24" apart from each other at the exit points, as required. This VOIDS our warranty with the manufacturer. Most importantly, It is DANGEROUS. Page 34 of guidelines state "DANGER: Failure to properly vent the water heater to the outdoors as outlined in this Venting section will result in death or serious personal injury. To avoid the risk of fire, explosion, or asphyxiation from carbon monoxide, never operate the water heater unless it is properly done and has adequate air supply for proper operation as outlined in the Venting section." Josh from Dupree said this is how Dupree installs tankless systems all the time. If we want to have Dupree install the vents to be in compliance with guidelines, we will have to PAY them bc we are outside of our 2 year warranty with them. This is not about their warranty, this is about installing operating systems as required by the manufacturer. Dupree wants us to PAY them to fix their mistakes. In addition, they ran the intake vent close to our dryer exhaust vent. So, our tankless system has been sucking in dryer lint. WE ARE NOW FACED WITH HAVING TO REPLACE THE UNIT AND HAVE VENTS PROPERLY INSTALLED DUE TO DUPREE'S ABSOLUTE INCOMPETENCE AND DISREGARD FOR CUSTOMER SAFETY. It is appalling that they could not bother to read manufacturer required guidelines not once, but twice, when installing a tankless hot water system in our home.

The hot water heater stopped working again 2 months ago so I called them to service, the gentleman that serviced the machine the previous time was professional and courteous. I learned that they no longer serviced the area. I called three plumbing services out to help fix the hot water heater and was told by all three that the hot water heater was installed incorrectly which led to no hot water and heavy vibration to the equipment. The last plumber called the manufacturer to validate the incorrect installation of the unit. This instillation error caused me to have to purchase and install a new hot water heater unit.
