I was called by the inspector and also there was a cease and desist order posted on my door until I was able to prove to them that there was no "disturbed" asbestos in either the dumpster or in the house....first thought..."YIKES!" After a few days of pondering my options I looked at yelp and found BuildSafe and gave them a call. The woman who answered the phone (sorry I can't remember her name at the moment) was awesome and gave me a brief description of their services. I was leaving on business trip in 3 hours and she said I might have someone in the area and if so we can check it out today... at that point the phone almost dropped out of my hand....this is Denver any type of activity that involves construction is always 4 to 6 weeks out! Needless to say they did have Blake who is one of their inspectors just finishing a job that was not too far away and he showed up about an hour later at my house. He was incredibly informed and competent at the requirements of what needed to happen with this problem. He took about 10 samples from the dumpster and the house...even spoke personally to the city inspector who wrote the property up about the situation. Immediately sent the samples to the lab and a few hours later I got a phone call regarding what they found. Amazingly quick and efficient. All I can say about this is: This company is well run, they are very personable and incredibly competent at what they do and finally trustworthy...they have you the customer in mind not the idea of lining there pockets with your dollar bills. I highly recommend them for any type of asbestos issue that you may have at your home.

He's brought in lots of testers and equipment, took pictures, and wrote a detailed report about what the problem was. He tested for gas, CO2, and many other particulates in the air. It turned out that the drywallers must have just swept all the dust from sanding the drywall mud into the venting system. It was caked with drywall dust (silica/gypsum). He referred me to his trusted duct cleaning company Ductworks -Eric-303-425- 0985 and they came in two days. Their tech, Will was fabulous and spent 5+ hours jetting and cleaning the filled ducts throughout the home. If you have any question about what might be causing health issues or just want to check to see what your air quality is, call Joe. Anyone with a newly built home should for sure have your ductwork checked.

Second, the mold testing he offered--through SEEML, a nationally-renowned lab--was a better value than that offered by any other company I could find. Thirdly, because of his long duration working with SEEML, they prioritize the samples he sends them so he is able to get you results more quickly than any other company! I received an estimate for just the outside, as well as both inside and out, so that I could quickly decide which work I wanted them to do. I received a few text reminders, including how I could prepare for their work (i.e., move furniture away from windows and out of windowsills). I have a lot of windows, and some of them are 2.5 stories off the ground, and include little extra triangle windows above the outside doors. The gentlemen who came to do the job were very cordial, and they worked through the sleet that was happening outside (yuck!). I mean, these windows were CLEAN! Before they left, I pointed out a screen that needed cleaning, and they quickly took care of that. I had also noticed a spot on one of the triangle windows, but by the time I could point it out, they had already noticed and touched it up. The price was fair, and honestly the quote for the outside alone was even more reasonable. I will be happy to ask Rob and his team to do work at my house again.

Once I gave him the go, he got me on the schedule and got the job done exactly as we went over. He was on time, on budget, and an absolute blast to be around. In fact, I mentioned adding a 30 AMP RV plug to the outside of my house AFTER he gave me the quote to which he replied "That's not a bad idea! I need to recommend that." He worked up the additional cost, which was again very competitive. He also gave me some tips and ballparks on future upgrades. I really couldn't be happier with the service Vintage provides.
