Still a fun and memorable stay, just not quite as relaxing as it could be.

Hotel said they wouldn't honor it (same day). On their website they showed availability for 5 rooms, so we said ok can you put us in 2 separate rooms for the same price (as this was your error) they refused and were totally unreasonable and implied it was our problem. So beware- because getting over there on the ferry is very tricky and you run a strong risk that these clowns will tell you you have no bed for the night despite having a confirmed reservation.

I was hoping to stay there again but it looks like they don't rent the shipping containers anymore?) This place completely lived up to my expectations. My container #9 was immaculate, with a small fridge, record player, microwave, pod-coffee maker, sink, and full bathroom with standup shower. The shower was a little small, be careful of accidentally hitting the water handle because you might make the water too hot, but it was amazing how good the shower was otherwise! Nice, hot water, good pressure. Also, the AC/Heat worked great. The view was spectacular. I let Dennis (his name was on a sign to call if problems) know that the curtain rod had come down because the end of it was missing, but I was able to put it back up. When I called, he answered right away, and he was very appreciative of the call. It's next to the Skyline drive in theater, so you can watch the movies that are playing, and also it made it easy for them to allow for free parking. Free parking in NY!! It felt safe, and I experienced no issues leaving my car overnight for 2 days. There's a door with code that you have to punch in to get into the area with all the pods/containers. And then a separate code to get into your specific container (not sure about the pods). I could not get over the views. I was staying in a hostel in Manhattan the night before for the same price which was TINY and overlooked an alley with a bunch of condensers. This glamping was so much better, and I couldn't stop looking at the views! Each container has a little sitting area, and mine was the first of them, so there were people sitting outside my container on my second night, which I didn't mind since I was already in bed but they were right under my window, so I could hear them until they left. Maybe a little fence separating the first container's sitting area from the general area would be helpful. I would definitely come back to this place. Especially want to come back with my partner, as the views are super romantic :) Also, it was in Greenpoint, which is fantastically located, tons of great restaurants (go to Oxomoco if you can, amazing food!!!).

The staff was friendly and welcoming. The campsites are well-spaced, and each spot comes with a picnic table. The bathrooms were well-maintained and clean, and the water temperature was warm enough for a comfortable shower. The camp also has a small store with all the essentials, and there's a Walmart and McDonald's nearby for anything you may need beyond that. They keep the area tidy, with clean trash bins and bags provided, and the trash is picked up in the morning. The only downside was the lack of night patrol. There were several loud parties making it difficult to sleep, though I understand this is more of an issue with guests not being considerate. Additionally, the site next to ours had a notably loud snorer, which made things a bit more challenging. Overall, I had a pleasant stay and would recommend Kittatinny K-Camp.

We werent able to relax and enjoy nature the entire 3 days, so we left a day early. I emailed twice and filled out the campgrounds survey, and no one has gotten back to me. Terrible customer service. They need security at night all times of the year to prevent this. I would never go back again because of that. You want, quit... look elsewhere. All reviews say the same thing it seems. Nothing notable to report but not overwhelmingly great either. The last time I went with the Boy Scouts was one of the worst weekends of my life. There was some river guide who named himself "zombie". He has the worst chip on this shoulder ever. First, he got nearly naked on the bus clearly wanting to show off all his tattoos. Inappropriate in front of a bunch of kids. If he was discreet then fine. He was showboating and it was gross. Then while on the river, I splashed with a paddle. It is indeed against the rules and I was wrong for that. However I knew I messed up the second I did it. A reminder would have been sufficient. Oh no. Zombie came over immediately and berated me loudly in front of everyone (including the kids). Yikes. I said "understood, I'm sorry". He then continued saying he was "gonna hike me out of 'his' trip" if he saw it again. What? He was going to evict me from the boat in the middle of nowhere and walk me home? Alone? What the hell is wrong with this guy? I don't care how capable or good of a river guide he is. If he's going to talk to customers who paid for the trip like garbage, then he doesn't belong there (especially around kids). Major jerk. Then we camped there overnight. Some camp site decided to have a rager party. Like thumping music turned up to full volume that could be heard for miles. No one came to quiet them down. At midnight I had to walk over myself and ask if they could please let us sleep. They said no and it kept going. I called the campsite phone # and got a voicemail. No one was there to help. Needless to say we didn't sleep at all. Just a generally unpleasant experience. You need to get rid of this zombie person. You can't call yourself "zombie" then demand to be taken seriously. Give me a break. You need someone who can patrol the campsite and keep order and the campers safe. Don't go here and waste your money.

This is a family owned business with the upmost care and concern for the children and their safety, health, and well being while there. There are division heads who reach out to you to assure your children are enjoying themselves and address any concerns you may have. Everyone greets you and goes out of their way to offer their assistance if you look lost as you are vising your little ones for the day. The counselors are bright and lively and extremely engaging. As far as the grounds are concerned, up to date and vast with a brand new dining hall, fire pit for smores during overnights, pools and lakes and everything you would want your child to be offered at camp. Everything is so updated, they are always looking to make improvements, and they are always offering whatever the latest in game or in activity is. They are actually ahead of the latest anything!!! They literally leave no stone unturned. Your child's enjoyment is their upmost priority!!! I adore the Breene's, camp owners, and think they are doing a tremendous job. Everyone of you!!!!!
