My friend and I attended the Long Island Wine Tour on Sunday, June 07, 2026. In my booking confirmation, there was a digital waiver that needed to be signed prior to the trip, a lunch form to select a gourmet deli sandwich, list of items to bring, what's included, and the trip itinerary. The lunch options were Turkey, Avocado, & Swiss, Grilled Veggie Sandwich (vegetarian), gluten free: salad (w/ or w/o chicken), or if you prefer to bring your own lunch. I chose the Turkey, Avocado, & Swiss sandwich. On the day of, I went to the pickup location: 41 Union Square W, New York, NY 15 minutes prior to the departure time of 9:00am. Soon after, our tour guide named Joe, told us that the bus was waiting for us around the block since it was too big for the street. The bus had comfy seats, outlets to charge your phone, and a bathroom at the back. After everyone got checked in, Joe introduced herself, gave us a run down of the itinerary, and put on Mrs. Doubtfire while we headed out east. Before we arrived at each winery, Joe told us a little bit about it and what to expect and how long we had at the winery. Lenz Winery was the first winery stop and we were given our sandwich and chips here. The Turkey, Avocado, & Swiss sandwich was a bit dry, but it was something to fill our stomachs. Raphael Winery was the second winery stop. Osprey's Dominion was the third and last winery stop. At each of the wineries, we had several tastings and a bottle of water. My favorite was Raphael Winery. The winery was designed by John Petrocelli who was inspired by the Italian monasteries of his ancestral home and its absolutely beautiful. My friend and I also ordered some food here and it was delicious. A guest in our group even sang in Italian because he was so inspired by the beautiful atmosphere. On the Long Island Wine Tour, we visited 3 award-winning Long Island Wineries on the North Fork region to taste some of the finest vintages in the New York area, had a picnic lunch (a sandwich, chips & bottle of water), received bottle discounts at select vineyards, and round trip transportation from NYC. All the guests in our group were friendly, respectful, and responsible throughout the duration of the trip. Joe kept us on time throughout the trip, but it felt like she was our babysitter and didn't really need to be there. Drop-off was by where they picked us up. Even though I live in Long Island, the Long Island Wine Tour with Sourced Adventures was really fun and it was really nice to enjoy all the wine without worrying about driving. This is my second time doing a float trip with Kittatinny Canoes, but my first time from this base…read morecamp and I would never do it again. The employees working there were not helpful at all. After we were dropped off at the launch point, one employee gave a quick safety speech and then disappeared. No one helped us tie our tubes together or navigate the steep drop-off with our tubes to get into the water, which was extremely slippery and rocky. We were told the float would take 2-2.5 hours. This was wildly inaccurate. It took us an hour to float from the drop-off point back to camp. When we previously did the trip from Barryville, the float was much longer. For what we paid, this was a complete waste of money. Then, when we reached the ending point around 4 p.m., we were harassed by three teenage employees who were yelling at us and demanding that we bring up our tubes immediately. There was no one else going out with those tubes at that time, and we simply wanted to sit and relax for a few minutes since the float had been so short. The employees were unnecessarily rude and nasty about it. I feel bad for the people who paid to camp out on this site. It was pathetically small and claustrophobic. Do yourself a favor and book a float trip with another company. After this experience, I would not return to or recommend Kittatinny Canoes at either base camp. EDIT/UPDATE: After the owner's response, I wanted to provide some additional context because I don't feel her response accurately reflects what we experienced. First, regarding the float time: the website states that the trip is 2-3 hours, not 2-2.5 hours. I understand that river conditions can affect the timing, but the conditions on Saturday were considered normal summer levels, with no flood warnings or high water advisories. Our float was significantly shorter than the advertised timeframe. We were also surprised by how close the drop-off point was. The bus barely drove us up the road before letting us out, and the location itself seemed like an odd place to start the trip, being let out in what appeared to be a vacant grassy field directly next to the Riverside on the Delaware townhomes, not even 3 full miles away. I feel bad for the people who live there. It did not feel like we were out in nature, enjoying lush vegetation. I could literally hear landscaping equipment buzzing along the float. As far as the landing area, we did not see anyone trying to get out of the water with kayaks while we were there, nor did the teenage employees tell us that kayakers were waiting to come through. They were not helping people navigate the landing area; they were primarily standing around and yelling at guests to bring their tubes over to the trailer. If they had politely explained that we were blocking kayakers or asked us to move for that reason, that would have been completely understandable. That is not how the situation was handled. Our issue was not being asked to move. It was the attitude and lack of helpfulness from the staff from the moment we arrived. We would have been happy to cooperate if the situation had simply been explained to us. Unfortunately, that was not our experience, and the owner's response does not change what we personally witnessed during our trip

I came here for a MeetUp volleyball scrimmage, and it was a lot of fun. There are full changing…read morerooms - including showers - and various rooms for yoga, volleyball, basketball, etc. Some of my peers were complaining about A/C - the lack of it - which didn't bother me so much but could be an issue. The volleyball net is also quite old and a bit saggy. Nonetheless, it was a lot of fun and a good place to meet up.

They're inviting and friendly and give you lots of opportunity to play, even if one team has to set out every round. The gym is a bit on the small side, just one field. You have about two feet of room between the field and the wall, so that during games you play off the walls. The locker rooms are clean and have lockers, showers, toilets and some room to change, though they are extremely hot. There are more rooms at CATS, like a ballet room and kitchen, but they're not accessible during volley nights. I would actually give the gym itself 3 stars since it doesn't allow for competitive play, but the atmosphere and the great people sure deserve 5 stars...which brings it to a solid 4-star volleyball place.

He goes to school in the neighborhood which made it convenient for me and the other parents. With all of the great places to choose in NYC I would say avoid NYC Elite at all costs. They are passionate about their mission and it comes through in every class. As a lifting and fitness dork, I appreciate how they make legit strength training accessible. I learned many of the movement skills that helped me lift through my 30s and now early 40s without injury here! A lot of popular group fitness in New York has this "we're going to DESTROY you" energy (I won't name names but it rhythms with schmorange schmeory). With MFFs programming, you practice fundamental exercises and can actually get progressive overload and getter better at the movements over time. The classes are plenty challenging, but in a sustainable way that doesn't burn you out. Even better, they make it FUN. There is a sense of togetherness, inclusivity, and community there that flows through every interaction.
