I had my transmission rebuild by Rudy's about three months ago. I recently had an issue with the…read moreblowing heavy white smoke from the tail pipes. It seemed odd but the transmission was losing fluid. I could not detect the source of the fluid so I visited Rudy's on January 10 and explained the situation. The only mechanic there was the engine mechanic and he didn't. about transmissions. He informed me that know the owner would return on January 17th. I had to get the car fixed so I asked my mechanic to look at it. He confirmed that the transmission's Modular (a vacuum devise) had failed and was sucking transmission from the transmission and depositing it in to the engine oil pan. This weakens the lubricating efficiency of the engine oil. I had to change the engine oil and filter, purchase a new modular and pay my mechanic. When I returned to Rudy's to recover the cost of my transmission they refused to reimburse me for any of the cost. My receipt for the rebuild states 12 month warranty. They said I should have brought the car to them, and I would have if they someone there to work on it January 10th. Don't believe their warranty.

See the pics here showing the burn on the harness; coupled with the melted post and solder on a brand new battery. An $80 diagnostic repair just became a tow, rental, new battery, new power control module, new alternator, and all new fuses. Can't get a response from the shop owner. I will be filing suit for damages.
