All American Jetting & Drain Services

We had an excellent experience. After a week of dealing with multiple plumbers who promised one…read morething and did another, All American Jetting & Drain Services was a breath of fresh air. They showed up promptly, did a quick but thoughtful assessment of the plumbing throughout the house, and determined that the issue had largely resolved. They were in and out in about 20 minutes and did not charge us anything--even refusing payment once they felt no work was needed. They clearly explained what had likely happened, gave straightforward guidance on how the homeowner could easily address the remaining minor issues, and even offered helpful recommendations for other contractors to handle possible damage to the drywall. Kind, fast, competent, and honest. We will absolutely call them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for drain or rooter services.

I just have to say it bluntly - 2 guys came in, I showed them my laundry room, flooded from an old,…read morebacked up drain. My shop vac was to the right of us as I was using it to get the water up the day before. I told them I can use it myself, they said no no sir, we have our own shop vac we'll use to get the water up. They said verbatim "we'll take care of the water." Well, they did not. They cleaned the lines doing the hydro jet and apparently got my dad to cut them a check while leaving my laundry room and the adjacent bathroom, flooded with nasty-soot filled water. It's amazing how they didn't check with me prior to finishing, they just told my pops who's 77 and struggles to get downstairs they were finished, and we took them at their word. I guess if they checked with me, I would have asked them to suck up the water, hm starting to make sense now? Don't cut corners: if someone says one thing to me directly, makes me trust them only to avoid following through, makes me want a chunk of my money back. Then, when I called and spoke to Malinda to get answers as to why they left the area flooded and in worse condition, they had the audacity to say it was like that before they got there and that I needed to call I sanitation specialist because they don't deal with that. It ain't your fault Malinda, but damn how do you make a mess and not take responsibility for it? I appreciate your companies response time in getting out here, but my before and after pictures speak for themselves: you didn't finish the job properly, and the two guys who came out knew they weren't done but took advantage of me in that I was not the one paying. They lied to my father, said they were done and left. Now I'm stuck with puddles in my carpet outside the bathroom. Shake my damn head. Thousand bucks for 30 minutes of work, and they couldn't do what they said and get the water off the floor. There's more water and sewage in places it's never been, appreciate the warning. Why would you guys assure me you'll do something, only to not do that one thing. Now you guys suggest calling another company to clean the mess yall made. Who does that.. it's evident you do not care about your customers.

After hydrojetting our sewer line a few years ago to remove some really stubborn tree roots, they came back today to honor their warranty when the roots returned and caused a backup yesterday. They use a video scope which in our case they had to extend 80 feet into the line. Being able to actually see what is happening in the line is extremely helpful to the customer. Just outstandingly professional, responsive and easy to work with, they will be my go to plumber from now on!

When the drain pipe on my washing machine backed up, I called L&G Drain to resolve it. The cause…read morewas coffee grounds that I poured down the sink. In short, L&G snaked two pipes, but they did NOT snake the drain pipe of the washing machine that backed up. Thinking the problem was resolved, I did a load of laundry two days later, which resulted in a bigger backup than before. Even though L&G offers emergency service, they did not treat this as such on a Saturday. On top of that, when they did come back out on Monday, we got into a discussion about how to resolve the issue and the owner started yelling at me and dropping the f-bomb and threatened to leave without resolving the problem. They decided to stay and cut a second hole in the wall, which they never used to snake, and then tried to blame the size of the drain pipe as the cause of the problem (not their failure to snake the pipe). This drain pipe has been there for 33 years and working fine for the 19 years we've been here. After more discussion, his crew snaked the drain pipe of the washing machine, which solved the problem. L&G charged me $1200 for the initial job, which seemed high. If they had snaked the drain pipe of the washing machine first, the problem would probably have been resolved for a fraction of the price.

    Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

    Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

I contacted Roto Rooter because I had a downspout that was causing water to overflow onto my porch…read moreand drive areas rather than just down the pipe. I knew Roto Rooter had a camera service (from previous experiences, also their work was good tho expensive) and really wanted that to tell what was going on vs just blasting the issue with water. When the technician arrived, I told him about the issue and he said that he would blast it with water and then someone would come out with the camera to check the job. I guess I was tired because this was the opposite order of what I wanted. He quoted me a price of eighteen fifty. I was surprised it was this cheap, until he clarified that was $1850. I balked at the price and he throws in a coupon ($100 on their website) and says if he's fast enough he may be able to cut off another $100 (he wasn't). At this point, I assume I'm paying for the camera pretty much but that's what I wanted so I went with it. Service as described with 2 notable things. First off, he asked if he could use my water. This is a general peeve of mine because never is there a discount for using my utilities, it's just something service based companies do. Secondly, after he blasted he dug up my lawn and found a long since buried pop out drain. This is where the water was supposed to exit from and after clearing it you could see it was weakly doing so. However, I am informed the popout drain is broken and needs replaced. Camera guy will do the follow up. So camera guy shows up later in the day (different technician) and runs the camera. Apparently the blasting did not do the job and there are roots in the pipe in the concrete section. In addition, the part of the pipe in my yard section (by the popout) is collapsed. So he banters back and forth some numbers for pipe replacement (including concrete digging) and lining. I'm hearing values like $3k, $4k and he says it can be up to $10k. Lining supposed to last around 15 years and new pipe 25. Sort of shook at this point, I tell him I need to think about it and discuss with SO. He says that's fine and to let him know and if we answer within a week he can reduce the job the cost of the water blasting (again). He also admits they could blast again but this might not work and ultimately may damage the pipes further (e.g. such that they can't be lined). Ultimately, we decide to go with no concrete digging but yard digging. He writes us up a contract and it comes to over $8k. I contact him and ask since much higher than the lower numbers I heard cited and he says the numbers he was quoting were individual things and it's a sum cost. He says he will reduce some but if he goes further he'd need to clear with his manager. He also says the lining cost is mostly materials (not from them) so can't be reduced very much. I suppose I should have pressed him but I felt very much like I was dealing with a used car salesman and just wanted this work done. I definitely had sunken cost falliacy at this point because there was a big hole in my yard as well as pressure due to not wanting to get charged again for the water, which I will say feels like a bit of a scam (i.e. if I walked away here, they basically got almost 2 grand for me for accomplishing nothing). They got it down about another $1k. The digging and lining job itself was pretty smooth. They asked if they could use my electricity (argh) but after seeing no super easy plug they used their own generator(!). One of the guys was smoking but didn't leave any butts around. As advertised by the camera guy, the lawn did not look good afterward. He said he would send them back to come seed as contract stated but as far as we can tell they never did. But they did admit to not being landscapers. After all this was done, I realized that I had gotten a quote from a plumber long ago to check out and blast this pipe for estimate of ~$450. I have no idea if they had a camera (afaik Roto Rooter is the only company who advertises one) and what they would have done if not. So at the end of the day, I do feel like I got a good job done but paid dearly for it. All that drama aside, I will say the communication with the company itself was pretty good. There was some pushing for their app and a regular maintainance service but not heavily even by the camera "salesman". TLDR; if you like high quality work but paying for it (e.g. medium to high income bracket) as well as negotiating with people and having the feeling of paying for a companies equiptment this is probably the company for you. If you have a small job, almost certainly there are better companies, maybe even for big jobs. I am still ultimately unsure I made the right call so I am giving 3*.

Our insurance adjuster told us that we are not the only people he has seen them overcharge. They neither warned me of hazards or offered me PPE. Please do yourself a favor and stay away.
