A Cautionary Tale with a Cringe Factor Seeking professional guidance for weight loss is a significant decision--one that requires trust, transparency, and genuine support from the chosen provider. Unfortunately, my recent experience with Dr. Gotur, SKYNN MD (Holly Springs) was an absolute joke and the joke was on me. My free consultation (I thought) fell far short of these expectations. Like many, I arrived at my first & free (so I thought) consultation early with a mixture of hope and apprehension. Although I arrived early, I wasn't greeted and my appointment started late. The advertisements promised personalized guidance, compassionate counselors, etc. When I was finally ushered into the room, I believed the session felt rushed and impersonal. Dr. Gotur didn't even have my intake form/email and asked several redundant questions. I opened up right away and told him I have a chronic illness. This is the point where the conversation resulted in that he could not help me. However, he had me stand on a machine that produced a 1-page report that showed body, muscle and obesity analysis. Dr. Gotur said it's similar to what you get at LifeTime Fitness. He then went into a monologue that if 'he were' able to help me that the medicine would come direct from the manufacturer and not from him. Not sure why he had to tell me that when it was clear he wasn't going to help me. The appointment took all of 15 minutes and that's with walking to and from rooms. He then again quickly ushered me to the front to check me out. He took a payment from me of $199. I gave him a credit card as I'm looking at his big advertisement in the waiting room that states Free Consultation. When I returned home, I received the invoice in email and wrote him immediately and asked why I was charged for this FREE consultation. He replied "Free consultation is for Aesthetic procedures like botox and other cosmetic evaluations. Weight loss and hormone replacement evaluations are not not part of the free consultations. My weight loss page does not offer free consultation." I wrote back and said but I didn't see that on your website and in your office there is a big advertisement regarding free consultation. I also asked him why I didn't get an email confirming the appointment with a consultation charge. And I also requested a copy of my intake email/form. I followed up and not surprisingly, haven't heard back from Dr. Gotur. He is a businessman proliferating generic, impersonal services masquerading as individualized care. Dr. Gotur pulled one over on me. read more

I recently saw Dr. Gotur for botox injections. Results are fantastic.He listened to all of my concerns and took great care to insure these areas were properly treated. Injections were precise and better than any expectation I had. I cannot recommend SKYNN enough. First visit today, found the practice via Groupon but chose to wait to purchase until the consultation. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the products and didn't push me into overpurchasing, which I appreciated. I have a big trip in two weeks and the doctor setup a timeline to make sure I have peak results for that, and said he'd be accommodating if I need a touch up. I plan to go back for Xeomin round 2 in four months. read more

Our experience at Modern Nail Bar was mixed. I would say that service depends on who does your…read morenails. On a positive note, they have hooks for your purse and their salon is beautiful inside. I got my gel polish removed, with Eva doing my nails. The gel removal cost only $15, but now I have to go home and fix them because they were not done properly, leaving my nails scarred and ragged. The filing Eva did to get the top layer of gel off was harsh and very fast. She did not let the gel soak for very long, maybe 2 minutes, so she had to scrape harder with the cuticle pusher. She did not ask what shape I'd like my nails, and filed them whatever way she pleased. Some of my nails are different shapes with straight/flat tips and some are rounded. There were no formalities, and Eva didn't say I was done, she just told me to wash my hands and then moved onto her next client. My nails look pretty bad, as she didn't apply cuticle oil to help with the damage from the Dremel. My nails also could have been buffed with a finer grit to make them more smooth. I have had better, kinder, more attentive service elsewhere and do not plan to return. The ambiance is nice, but the service is not great. On another note, Kevin was great and took pride in his work. He did a great job on my mom's acrylic fill. He was gentle and careful and detail oriented. If you come here, ask for Kevin. Eva had terrible customer service, though and I would not recommend her to anyone. Be careful who does your nails here.

Dr. Gotur is amazing & is definitely the best injector I've been to in Raleigh! He was gentle, made sure I was comfortable, listened to my concerns and made sure he understood what results I was looking for. I didn't even know I could relax some of the folds in my nose that have always bothered me until our consultation! He also honored an online price without hesitation; although he didn't have to do that I appreciated it greatly! The results are perfect and better than I expected!
