All of the technicians are experienced, attentive, and efficient. I rely in their creative expertise and my daughter brings in a specific photo example. This place was great. I'm new to the area and needed nails urgently. They do gel fills, which is new to me (not acrylic) but they didn't require all the usual grinding on my nails... so I'm optimistic this will help my nails be not so thin. The pedi was epic too! I've been to this salon once before and had a great experience, which is why I came back for a manicure and pedicure ahead of a vacation. Unfortunately, this visit was very disappointing. As someone who doesn't go to salons often and considers it a treat, I felt unwelcome and embarrassed. The nail tech seemed to expect me to know every step of the process and laughed, along with another patron, when I didn't (such as when to place my arm down, or that there was a hot towel step before getting up). Instead of guiding me kindly, I felt singled out. At the end, when I switched from the foam flip-flops they provided into my own slides, the technician loudly told me my nails weren't dry and that I'd ruin them, drawing everyone's attention in the salon. If you're someone who goes every few weeks and knows the routine, this may be the place for you. But if you're looking for a welcoming, relaxing experience as an occasional treat, I would not recommend this salon. I won't be returning. read more

OMG!! This was my 1st time at Blissful Nail Bar and color me impressed. This place is small and full of fun laughing people. Ashley did my nails and I'm in love! She made helpful recommendations for my nails between gel and dip. My norm is dip but I had be trying gel which sucks for me. My nails came out beautiful and I immediately made my next appointment. There is very good and very bad...hence the 3 stars.. The good: Absolutely the very best pedicure I've ever had. The Blissful special is pricey at $59 but they do an extraordinary job. Agressive callous treatment and your feet will be baby smoothe. The masque is amazing. I highly reccomend splurging and getting the blissful. The staff is friendly and attentive and a gratis water, soda, or juice is included. The only downside was the chair massage was meh. The bad: Without a doubt, the worst manicure ever (see pics). The cuticles are jagged and the old paint was never fully removed. Dip is hard to remove and there is plenty on my fingers to remove at home. Ironically, There are uneven edges with no paint at all. A few months ago, my husband and I were looking for a new place to get our nails done to occasionally pamper ourselves. We tried several places (from small to warehouse size shops) closer to where we live but we were never satisfied with the results or customer service. One day, we happened to be in the Apex area looking for a restaurant and came across Blissful Nair Bar next door. It looked booked and busy which is a good sign. I entered and was greeted by friendly staff and delightful atmosphere and was able to make a same day appointment for the both of us. We were very happy with the results, customer service and the overall vibe of the staff/customer interaction. Even though it is a solid 35-minute drive, we have made Blissful Nair Bar our new home for nail care! We even started bringing my mother-in-law who can be a little picky but left satisfied. On my most recent visit, I had the most amazing interaction with the nail tech Sophie. Her energy and professionalism were awesome which made my mani/pedi service that much more enjoyable. Just moved and was looking for a nail salon. The place is different looking with a "bar" where you sit and have your nails done. I was immediately offered a drink including wine. There was nice chats going on in ENGLISH! Now, how different is that? My nails look nice and clean. They really look perfect and I'm generally pretty critical. There are 8 chairs for pedicures and I'll have one next week. Can't wait. I'll report back. People that work here are friendly and people that go here talked a bit with me as well. It was a nice atmosphere and my nails look great. Manicure is $17 and they give you a ticket for a drawing for the NC State Fair and some money off here. Pretty nice idea. It's my first time in this salon, I booked my appointment an hour ahead. I am surprise they are very busy, all employees are friendly and professional. Bunny explained different rates and options in mani and pedi, they have variety of colors and different service for everyone. I waited for a week to post my nail picture, and it still looks great!!! They offer wine and water, their background music is soothing as well. At the end of my pedicure they massaged my feet and legs, which I need after long day of work. I hope the owner saved that list of lies they wrote in their response to my initial review on google because I will remove and re-post each time they lie in their response. One- I did not cause a disturbance of any kind in their shop. I've never done that anywhere. So the claim is absurd and I'm sure I know why they are using those types of lies. I told Bunny there was an issue with the color and told her that I didn't want to leave out the shop with my nails looking that way. I even asked if I could come back later that day and she said she didn't have time. Voicing your concerns with an un-raised voice when you are paying over $100 for a service isn't a disturbance. Two- initially when I reached out to Matthew he told me Bunny couldn't fix it because her grandmother died and now all of a sudden it's because I was creating a disturbance. It's important to see how owners respond to reviews as it's important to see how they take criticism and should be considered when deciding to patronize a business. So with that in mind, I'm going to repost my experience at Blissful last year. I was a customer at Blissful for a few years until about a year ago when the manager refused me service because they didn't want to correct my nails that were done incorrectly ( they claim that Bunny had done my nails a while, but that's not true). Their staff seem to get defensive when they make mistakes rather than correct them. During my last appointment, my nail tech, Bunny was having a difficult time applying my SNS correctly. She appeared to have a lot on her mind (which was actually the case at the visit before that as well). When I pointed out the issues with the SNS, she blamed it on the product and said I would need to come back because she had another appointment after me. When I said that wasn't acceptable since she wasn't even finished, she got an attitude and told the owner that I didn't like the color which wasn't the case. The owner's wife came over and attempted to smooth over the situation which actually made it worse. They put me down for an appointment the following Monday. Well, the appointment was at 4 and not only did Bunny not show or notify me that she wasn't going to show, they refused to let anyone else make the correction. The icing on the cake was that I arrived 15 min early for the appointment, and they just let me sit there and then the rude lead nail tech (Emmy) came out and said "I don't have anyone to service you". No surprise since she was always like that towards certain people. Mind you they keep every customers home number in their database. When I reached out to the owner, he agreed to give me my money back because they didn't deliver (he acknowledged the issues), but he stated that I was no longer able to come there (eventhough it was their mistake), which was fine with me. The owner told me to give him a few days and he would be in touch. I never heard anything, so my card company worked on the situation on my behalf. Recently, I noticed they used one of my photos on google for advertising. When I reached out to them to ask for it to be taken down since I'm no longer allowed to be customer, they claimed they didn't see the photo eventhough I sent screenshots. As of today, the photo is still up and they never responded when I reached back out. All in all, the interactions with staff were never great as there is just an arrogance I didn't like. As a paying customer, you have the right to advocate for yourself if something is wrong, and they don't seem to share that thought. If you're comfortable with going to a shop that you just have to "take what you can get" this is the place for you. I've added the photos of my nails to this review to show how they looked the next day. You can see the top coat peeling away and the design has paint everywhere and it's not "clean". But I guess they feel that certain people should just take whatever they give and move on, and that's not fair to the customer. Hopefully, they will decide to respond with truth or nothing at all this time. read more

Kimmy did my nails before I went to a wedding. She did an amazing job! I got my typical dip powder with tips and they looked amazing. With my type of work I do, moving heavy materials around, I was impressed that my nails have lasted 3 weeks. Just one nail broke! Normally I am breaking them within a week. Kimmy put few powder layers on to where it looked natural, and they still held up! I'm beyond impressed! When it comes to nail colors I love to have too many options so that I can try something new. For the dip powder selection they have a ton to choose from (some glow in the dark colors too). Also, the salon was extremely clean. I am always nervous when going into a new nail salon because you hear of the horror stories of how gross some are. At this salon you can tell they take pride in keeping it sanitary. My technician was named "Belle" and she did a fantastic job on my feet. I would venture to say that this pedicure is the best one I've ever had - ever. What a fantastic job Belle did.
