We recently visited Wink World at AREA15, and it was a really fun family experience! The rooms are full of colorful lights, mirrors, and music that make you feel like you're inside a different world. Each space is unique and very creative. The kids had a great time exploring, and it's definitely something different from the usual outings.It's a short experience, but very entertaining and perfect for taking pictures and making memories. My husband and I took a gummy to fully appreciate Area15...and honestly, no regrets. Wink World was trippy, immersive, and super fun. Definitely something we'd come back for, especially with extended family. Not ideal if you're claustrophobic. Only downside? Each room does this in different ways from springs to lights stretching into the distance. My favorite rooms had to be the Springs, Strings, final room and first room in that order. It is a great attraction for those who do not have problems with strobe lighting (as they use neon and lots of strobe). This sonic and dynamic exhibit conceived by Blue Man Group co-founder Chris Wink features 6 timed private viewing rooms right after each other, railroad style. The top half of each room has a window where you can enjoy automated and real 3-D scenes full of infinity effects, neon rave, and trippy vibes with awesome music (feel free to dance). Each group gets a few minutes in each room then is directed to move to the next. Eat some "candy" and then proceed to Wink World. It's such a fun, psychedelic, awesome time! We opted to purchase the 3D glasses which really amped up experience. There are many optical illusions, so I do recommend paying the few extra coins for the 3D glasses. After walking down a corridor filled with optical illusion images (and some interactive objects) on the wall, you pass through five or so connected rooms for a short, funky, audio/visual display. There were a few hiccups and malfunctions, but we didn't mind (partly because in our "candy"-induced stupor, we originally thought it was part of the show). Overall, it's such a neat concept and we had a lot of fun with this experience. If you're into trippy stuff like me, you'd enjoy this as well. (Visited on Aug. 28, 2023) read more

I really really wanted to love this but it was maybe just a little too repetitive and too long? Too many rooms? I don't know, sometimes more isn't better when you are trapped in rooms. You walk down a line of trippy neon artwork and are ushered into a room. The rooms have a step and different types of animated art. Most of the animated art work is repetitive. Some have narration at the beginning. There are 6 rooms and you are locked into each one until it's over, then you move to the next one. I was entertained for a bit but then it kinda got old. I just might not be the audience they are looking for and/or age. The rooms are impressive with how soundproof they are and the mirrors add a nice effect for marking them seem larger. read more

Wink World was the first exhibition we entered due to its short line. It had a few cool art installations with music and lights as well as paintings that also looked trippy. The reason for the three stars was because it didn't stand out much and would probably rank this exhibition at the bottom of the list. There was only one cool one everyone in my group enjoyed which was the bouncing aliens! We also did not buy the 3D glasses at the beginning which coming out from it, maybe we should up to enhance the experience. But from the price of our tickets, I feel like the 3D glasses should already be included. read more

As an autistic adult who enjoys looking at bright lights, Wink World is a pretty cool place to experience. I'm going to get the negatives out of the way first, this experience was not worth $18 a person to me. From the minute my girlfriend and I entered the exhibit to the moment we left, it couldn't of been more then 15 minutes, which I definitely should of read before hand, but either way, definitely not getting bang for your buck out of this. Now onto the positives, the different rooms you enter all have different things, some that spin and twirl, while others flash and shake. I did find myself getting lost in the mixture of lights and reflections and I did enjoy the short amount of time I was able to spend inside of these rooms. Each room has something different happening and the music certainly plays off of the environment. Overall, there's just not a whole lot to write about a short experience like Wink World. Did I enjoy myself? Yes, which is exactly why I'm giving it four stars, but the price is still way too much for me to justify ever doing it again. read more

Wink World is one of the experiences inside of Area 15. It's psychedelic with lots of interesting uses of light and sound. One of the founding members of the Blue Man Group was involved in creating this. The entrance has a short hall with a few art pieces. They recommend viewing this with 3D glasses they sell for $2. The main attraction is six individual rooms that are two minutes each. Each party enjoys the room on their own so it's social distancing friendly. Inside each room is something different visually that moves with fun music and changing colors. I'd imagine that this is the closest a sober person will get to feeling like they enjoyed some special mushrooms. Overall, I thought this was a fun experience. I appreciated that each room was different and intriguing. It was $18 per person, but I saw on their site that locals can enjoy a discount Monday through Thursday. I'm glad that I tried it out. It wouldn't be first on my list if I had limited time at Area 15 though. read more

Not my type of interactive art museum. From my biased understanding, the concept covers about opening your mind, body, and spirit and how the universe is endless. Pricing, I don't think it's worth $25-26 for the exhibit in addition to the 3D art glasses. The art glasses is convenient when you're going down the hall to look at different psychedelic frames/designs. Then, you'd go into 4-5(?) rooms with different concepts. My favorite one is the slinky and breathing segment. Other than the designs, you'd be listening to bass drops/edms and seeing flashing lights. Wished it was a bit longer. $18 per adult. Composed of 6 little rooms that took about 2-3 mins tops per room. They had you step up on these narrow small steps, so that wasn't very comfortable. They had Infiniti mirrors, slinkies that moved to music and lights, balls, ribbons, balls that open and close to the music, and lastly flowers. I liked the ribbons and slinkies best, but the other rooms were just okay. Closer to 3.5, but rounded up. I wish it was a bit longer. read more

WW was good to take photos of you, your friends or family that you came with but that's about it. It's not worth the $24 per person plus the extra $2.50 for glasses. It's basically going down a long hall until you reach several tiny booths-- approximately 3 or 4. Each booth has extremely loud music with mirrors, lights and moving rubbery objects hanging from the ceiling, walls and mirrors. I think small children from ages 3-7 might enjoy this but it's very silly and boring for teenagers and adults. I came here not knowing what to expect and all I know is that it was a waste of time and money. If your looking for something that will excite your senses, try Dueling Axes downstairs or the tiny indoor zip line instead. I can't recommend WW for adults but maybe for small children who are easy amused but not easily startled by loud music or flashing lights. read more

What an immersive experience! Admission is somewhat expensive at $18 a person, plus an extra $2.50 for cardboard 3D glasses, considering it is only about 15 minutes long. But it is unique enough, in my opinion, where it is worth the premium. When my sister and I visited, they kept each group separate. We would walk into a room, step up to the viewing ledge, and doors on either side would close. Then the music and visual effects would run for about three minutes before the doors would open and we would move into the next room. I left this experience feeling both energized and tranquil. If your visiting in Vegas, I'd highly recommend you check it out. read more

Lord have mercy. You go through 6 different rooms for 3 minutes. There are peepholes for kids to be able to see. I could only imagine if you were high, this would be fun. But for a sober couple, it was more like a fever dream. You watch slinky jumps, electricity balls winking with music, ceiling fans with ribbons of them, and 90's plastic spiky balls. It's similar to seeing Christmas lights with music, except that's typically free or cheap. Please don't waste your $15-20 dollars to do this simple experience. If it was a bonus with a package pass, maybe do it. It seems to be more for kids. read more

You first go through a mirrored hallway with some cool psychedelic art work on the left side lit up under black lights and mirrors on the right side. There will be 6 rooms or "worlds" to enter, each one is a small mirrored room that's decorated and lit up under black light and moved to dance music. We are a group in our late 30s and early 40s and we enjoyed every room. We had so much fun jumping and dancing to the music. It was like our own little mini private party. For $18 per person, it was totally worth it for us and I'd happily come back to do it all over again! read more

I genuinely feel like the concept could have been executed really well, but unfortunately they did not accomplish what they were attempting to at Wink World. It was quick and kept us engaged the whole time. Each room made great use of its infinity mirrors and had fun, upbeat music that made you want to dance along with the props. Because I went on a Friday (peak price on weekends), it was $20 a person & $2.50 for the 3D glasses (which I'd recommend getting for the full experience). I am a huge blue man fan so was excited to see this open up. It was one of my favorite experiences at Area 15. So first the experience started off bad. I was in line for the 12-12:15 slot. We waited until 12:10 while the girl working the experience just checked herself out in the mirror. After making sure she looked good she realized she lost track of time and forgot to open the rope 10 minutes earlier to let people in. Once we were in though each room was amazing. Should have known it would be boring AF given it was created by the guy who created Blue Man Group. If youre high or lit, then you might be amused for the 12 minute exhibit. All you get for $20 is a narrow hallway of psychedelic art plus 2 timed minutes in 6 glass "infinite" rooms filled with (1) twirling ribbons (yes ribbons) (2) bouncing slinkies (yes, slinkies) (3) spinning wheels (4) electric ball (5) small light bulbs and (6) a covid molecule looking thingy. Interesting experience just because of the vibe of Area 51, but honestly looking back it's kind of robbery. Not worth $20. $5.00 would be a more suitable price, and that's pushing it. Wink World, what an amazing place! This exhibit is just one of the many amazing treasures within Area15 and proves that you can make your time enjoyable even just experiencing something on a smaller level. Although these are quick walk throughs in 6 separate rooms, as with everything in Area 15, it was so well done! You could take pictures/vids if wanted but I was so immersed in the experience that I didn't! The 3-D glasses were an awesome add-on (really vamped up the experience) and I even enjoyed the exhibit without them (I took them on and off to see how the experience changed). Overall, I highly recommend visiting, PERIOD. read more
