Here is why I would recommend Cobblestone Cottage (from a male perspective who has never been to a tea house). (1) I called for Easter Sunday reservation 4 days prior to Easter. I imagined the place would be booked, yet instead of the host who answered the phone simply stating they were sold out, she said she would see what could be done to possibly get us in and have someone call me back. (2) To my surprise, the owner (Arsine) called me a day later and also stated they were full, yet she stated she wanted me to know she was going to keep trying to see if she could juggle reservations and get us in. (3) Yet again, the owner remembers to call me the following day and secures a reservation. I was shocked that she remembered and knew she was making every effort to create a memorable moment for my mom. (4) My mom unfortunately had accident requiring hospitalization and we had to cancel our reservation. The owner actually called back to ask how my mom was doing! Wow...that was amazing display of heartfelt care from a busy business owner. (5) The owner worked with us to find another day that we could arrive after my mom recovered. Upon arrival, we were literally greeted with open arms by the owner. Literally this woman was there to ensure all was well. Her service team was a delight and equally attentive. The other patrons were smiling and clearly also enjoying their experience. And most of all for me, my mom kept smiling in gratitude and admiration of a lovely afternoon. (6) And final note, the food and decadent sconces, soup, salad, sandwiches, and desserts were DELICIOUS. As it turns out, the owner is a chef. Arsine is a class act when it comes to hospitality.
