Comics, Collectibles, Pugs, and the Coolest Bathroom…read more What a great little comic book shop. The owner was incredibly friendly, the store was spotless, and there was so much to look at. They have a huge selection of comic books, collectibles, artwork, and fun memorabilia throughout the shop. One of my favorite parts was meeting the two adorable, well-behaved pugs who were happily hanging around the store. They definitely add to the welcoming atmosphere. The walls are covered with interesting art and displays, making the entire shop feel unique and full of personality. Everywhere you look there's something fun, quirky, or nostalgic to check out. And I have to give a special shoutout to the bathroom. I don't think I've ever mentioned a comic shop bathroom in a review before, but this one was awesome. The walls were hand-painted with beautiful koi fish artwork and even included information about the artist. It felt more like a little art exhibit than a restroom. As the wife who isn't really into comic books, I also appreciated that there was a comfortable, clean waiting area where I could relax while my husband browsed. That's a small detail, but it made the experience much more enjoyable for me. Between the friendly owner, the adorable pugs, the creative artwork, the welcoming atmosphere, and the massive selection of comics and collectibles, this place is a gem. Whether you're a serious collector, a casual fan, or just tagging along with one, it's absolutely worth stopping by.

Naturally, I spent most of my time downstairs. The bookseller on the lower level was so knowledgeable! We got into a whole conversation and they pointed me toward several horror picks I never would have found on my own, including some horror graphic novels I'm genuinely excited about. That kind of interaction is exactly why indie bookstores matter. They also have an in-person horror book club, which honestly made me a little sad because I couldn't join. If I lived in Sacramento, I would 100% be a regular here. Highly recommend if you're passing through.

I've been coming here over the past 20 years and I can say I have never been disappointed…read more The books are always in nice array, displayed so that you can easily find what you're looking for or even being enticed to look at the latest and new arrivals. The staff is always friendly and willing to help you whenever you need it. On this particular day I arrived, and as I entered, I was welcomed in, which I appreciated. I quickly went to look for a book (Red Rising) that I had heard was a great read, and when I couldn't find it on the shelf, I went to the front door and asked the lady how it was organized and she let me know it was by theAuthor's last name. However, on the way back to the shelf, I did find it on a table on the new and hot items list. Somehow, being in a bookstore with other book lovers, you just feel a different vibe that you don't feel when you're outside of those doors. But if you're looking for a cool bookstore, I would definitely recommend coming here. You will find what you need.

My family and I frequent this place and find that the time does pass by here quite quickly...quite enjoyably. There are seating areas around where you can take a book for a spin before purchasing. There's just so much to enjoy... The place is brightly lit and well decorated. Apart from books, there's a lot more other things you can buy...vinyl records, toys, even model kits you can assemble in your spare time. And there is always the staff, friendly and knowledgeable about the store and its merchandise. The items are a little on the expensive side, but the quality is worth it. Summertime in Arden can get quite hot, but a relaxing visit to Barnes and Noble here in the Arden Fair Mall area is cool!

They did not have to do that at all, but because they did, I was able to complete the collection I was searching for. That kind of thoughtfulness really means something to collectors. The staff were friendly, attentive, and clearly knowledgeable. It never felt rushed or transactional. It felt like the employees actually cared. The only minor downside was that one of the Funko Pops I purchased did not receive the fifteen percent discount that was advertised. It was a small issue and did not take away from how positive the experience was overall. Great employees and a store I will definitely return to and recommend.
