Been playing here for months but today was probably it for me. If you are a pokemon player and you come here, be ready to search for your opponent. Regardless if table numbers are put up. It will be your responsibility to sort through the duplicates of names. If theres 2 Elijahs and you happen to play the wrong one but at the right table, thats on you buddy... Round Loss. In situations where prizing could be a booster box or better... would you want a shop that doesn't respect table numbers and forces you to find your opponent? Lets say you do find "your" opponent, What if thats Elijah A and you are looking for Elijah B and didnt ask for their last initial. The staff here were really nice and helpful about some questions I had regarding their available bulk and inventory. Some of their inventory was slightly above market, but they had a good range of magic, pokemon (Japanese and English) and other tcg's like one piece as well. They have a diverse calendar of events like trade nights and play nights. My only complaint is that their bulk is unorganized and they have multiple TCG's mixed in with each other making it hard to sort through bulk or find any smaller cards you might be looking for. read more

Nice shop, SUPER clean. The staff are friendly and happy to help you find what you're looking for. Small selection at the moment, but quality. I saw some Pokemon cards that are not the typical I see at shops around town. I really dislike when shops think you steal. I was followed the whole time down the line in your shop by looking at singles and just watched like my every move like I'm a thief. It's very unfortunate from a buyer as my first time in your business to be treated like that. A lot of misinformation with this shop and wow they are over market on a lot of things. I get it to be above market but double the or triple the price of tcgplayer. This place needs better customer service and some employees knowledge is lacking on product and asking questions to them seems like a huge hassle. read more

Friendly workers and computers inside that allow you to search for any particular card that you're looking for instead of asking whatever employee working to search for it or remember where a particular card is off the top of their head. We bought a card and the employee allowed us to scrutinize and touch it. He didnt even bat an eye when my companion brought out a pair of loops to look for damage. For this reason, we prefer buying from physical stores as opposed to ordering cards online. There is a table inside where you can invite people to play card games. If you have friends to play cards with. I would've loved to play pokemon cards with friends if I were still a child and lived in the area. read more

Don't waste your time coming here! Honestly, the worst customer experience of any card shop in Sacramento. Walked in, and was completely ignored by the first person as he was too "busy" sorting cards. The guy never even looked up. I was finally greeted by a 2nd employee, but that was it. No "How can I help you? Is there anything you are looking for?" Nothing. I was left walking back and forth in front of all of them, standing at the counters, starring at the products, as if I didn't even exist. I loved this shop, it was the best place to buy sealed magic products at the best price in the area. New owner and new location now. Location isn't as easy to get to, but the selection of singles and rare product are great. New management and prices are no longer appealing. When sealed product started going up $20 and almost all sealed boxes are closer to $150, I contacted the store asking why product has increased price and what I was told was that they were using TCG pricing, which was a an obvious lie. The preorder selection is kinda random sometimes and as of today 2/7/2025, (prerelease of Aetherdrift) the pre-release kits and the Finishline bundles, are still not available through the website, when asked a month ago, was told that they would be available. Product prices, information, and consistency are lacking between the website and stores actual inventory. They are still ok, but the previous owner was an all-star, I just hope they step it up. At least they changed the name of the store because the product is no longer competitively priced. I am consistent finding better prerelease pricing through Flipside gaming via EBay, and am going to continue to buy through them until the prices become reasonable locally again. read more

I'm more of an average customer who shops every now and then. If I see something online I'd order it and pick it up. Sometimes my coworker would get an itch and ask to go during our breaks so I'd go. Prices are very competitive and their stock runs out fast. They may not have everything but there will be something you'll want to buy. I haven't played in the tournaments but I have seen some when I go in and it's very professional and friendly. Staff and players get along which is important for any lgs. They get a decent size of players for tournaments but sometimes they do have casual players during the down time. It's a great place to gather and meet new and familiar faces. If I wasn't an introvert I'd see myself be there from open to closing. The staff is top notch. Unlike other card stores in the area the customer service here is excellent. It's a smooth and easy transaction and experience. If you want to look up a card they have 3 PCs with their database. It's easy and helps staff know which cards to look for while you wait or shop at other stores in the plaza. Staff at other stores seem lifeless but the staff here want to know you and give you the best experience possible. I highly recommend for anyone wanting a great LGS experience. ( ' ' )=b read more

This is a nice and organized trading card store with a large variety of products to choose from! The employee that helped me was very kind and helpful with my purchase and asked if I had preferred a certain one when choosing the item. Their prices are reasonable and there are many accessories to store your TCG cards as well! I'll definitely be back and look forward to future releases of Pokémon items, they have a website where you may also order and pick it up in store for majority of the items listed. I mainly shop there for Yugioh so here is my experience. Since March of 2023 I have been at CCS weekly picking up $50-$150 worth of yugioh products and accessories. I got back into yugioh and had no budget as this game was a love of labor as a child/teen. Fast forward in May of 2023 I had my first questionable experience. I walked in, purchased the new Monstrous Revenge box with CCS in the 3rd week of June. They have a Fiver check in bonus where you can accumulate points. I entered my number and the person at the counter gave me the total. Then after the transaction, he said I have 70 points. I stopped from leaving and said "wait 70? I should be at 300 with that 70 no?". keep in mind every $1 spent is 1 point, 100 points is $5 off on purchase over 15 dollars, and is stackable to $35+ which I already achieved months before. We double checked with the numbers, verified my accounts on both ends and he advise to contact their boss/support (only by email). I made contact by email in the 2nd week of July of 2023 - fast forward to the 2nd week of September. I double checked my email- no reply. I was very professional in my Email to them with tons of details such as card ending xxxx and proof of my points in the Fiver account and still no reply. If the boss treats inquiries like this with this kind of urgency, I can see why there are negative reviews. I have made 2 attempts with phone calls in the last 2 weeks of this review to see if they have any support, but unfortunately it is out of the control of the workers at the front. The guys who are in the front lines are very nice and always a pleasure to talk to. The owner of the shop I have never seen or been able to talk to. I'd imagine he likes to dodge customer inquiries. It's sad because just when I thought I found my shop, something like this gives me a bad vibe about future more serious inquiries. read more

I came in recently because they buy trading cards. Unfortunately it is only for cards they specialize in. I traded a few Yu-Gi-Oh! cards in because I stopped buying cards back around early 2014. I got a decent amount in cash for the cards the owner picked out of my collection. Store credit would've been a lot more but I don't really play trading card games anymore, if I do it's mostly on digital platforms. Trade-in process is a little time consuming just for a few cards. The owner said if I used their website and printed out a list of cards and prices the process wouldn't take long. They also only buy English cards, I wanted to trade in some Japanese cards but they didn't take them. I might do that one day and come in with all of my rare cards and trade the rest in. I saw they sold some board games like Munchkins or Patchwork but I owned most of them. They do sell Pokemon cards but they had more stock of Yu-Gi-Oh and Magic the Gathering than anything else. They do however have a large supply of deck boxes, sleeves and those boxes that are used to sort cards. I play a lot of board games and some of those boxes might be helpful especially if a board game has a lot of expansions. read more

My friends and I were looking for a card shop to visit before heading back home. Came across this store and once we got there.....I could tell that I was going to enjoy myself! Aha. We're into nanoblocks and we were surprised to see that they have an awesome selection of Pokemon ones! Ended up snagging the Groudon one...haven't mustered up the strength to attempt the build...but I'll get there eventually! The card selection was awesome as well! Really cool regular employees who always welcome us in and are ready to help us out. The shop is very clean and they have rules so people can't randomly come in and just loiter around for no reason. Pretty sure they also have a rule about keeping hygiene, too, which I am thankful for because I've walked into a shop while a sweaty tournament was going on and I immediately left. They both sell and buy cards (that they are seeking) and have their cards listed online that they update so if they don't buy some cards today, they may seek it maybe another day, just keep checking in. You just earn store credit from cards you sell here and those don't apply to some promotions but it's worth it considering they have a wide variety of cards that can't be found at some other card shops in the area so it will come into use. Also, it's great that they keep all of their cards behind the counter instead of in boxes for customers to sort through, much cleaner and less damage. read more

Hmmmm..... where to start why I gave it a 3 star. Pros: The store had a lot of products and it was clean and organized. Some stuff was affordable and not marked up, and was retail price which I appreciated. Cons: Not sure if it was Covid or if it was me being new to the store that they dont recognize, but I requested to look at some products because I grade my cards, and was told no, I cannot touch the product, but they can hold it for me to look at it. It felt like they thought I was going to run away with it or something. Lol. We do need to touch and look at it too, especially for collectors. What made UT worse was they handed a product to another person allowing them to check it out. That kind of left a bad taste in my mouth. Last issue, which I don't blame them because of scalpers. But wow! I was hoping to buy a Pokémon Ultra Premium Collection Box, but it was 3X the retail price. Selling it more than a Scalper. I don't blame them though. But geez, i wouldve bought it for $200, and you would've made more than you got it for at wholesale or retail. Again, it is a hit and miss.... Not bashing, overall good store... would I come back... yes.... would I over pay for a product, no... but I don't mind paying a little more if I know it's reasonable. I did get some really nice stuff... but would like the management to know, that day, you made me feel like a crimal. Overall, cool place! read more

Great little TCG shop. The space is a tad smaller than I'd like but the plus side is that it is very clean and organized, with a nice selection of card supplies to boot. It's one of the only- actually THE only- shops I know of that sells the elusive UG Katana sleeves outside of buying online, which I don't like doing. The staff were very helpful and didn't mind getting up from the never-ending store upkeep tasks to showcase all the cool stuff I was eyeing. Luckily they also have a desk with a few computers available for customers to search a well updated card inventory and bypass potential lines at the register. I was only visiting from out of town, but if I lived in the area this would easily be amongst the top choices to get my MTG fix, competitive or otherwise. read more

Horrible shop for anyone that doesn't play magic. They require each person that comes in to purchase something. My friends and looked at product. My friend purchased something well over $100. We sat down to open the box he purchased and continued to on to play a card game in a card shop. They threatened to kick us out if the other people in the group didn't purchase something. As if we were taking up so much space. They had plenty of tables at the time and there wasn't a tournament going to happen for another two hours. If you aren't allowed to play cards in a card shop why should I give you any of my business? I hope this shop never succeeds at anything they try. read more

I've been coming here for the last few months and really love it. I was a little overwhelmed being out of the meta for modern YuGiOh and Pokemon but CCS really does make everyone feel comfortable, no matter their experience level. To note, I've brought family members and friends here and each time we always get great customer service. Very nice people work there that love the hobby and love what they do. The computer system in the store to order cards is very convenient and easy to use.I am grateful they have multiple computers because when I go there's always someone on at least one computer shopping around. There inventory is great and so are the accessories for the card games like sleeves deck boxes and binders. I picked up some dice while I was there to.
