I was told when opening my account that each line would receive a $300 gift card. After 2 months now of going back and forth with the chat they tell me to keep waiting 4-5 weeks for the email. Come to find out that now they're telling me this store was wrong and not suppose to be quoting that to the customers. I don't care if the worker made a mistake it's not on the customers to make up for it. Verizon should be keeping their word and rectifying this. I go into the store and they tell me the women who quoted this is on "vacation" and there's nothing the workers can or will do for me. Absolutely ridiculous and disgusting how this store runs. I will be opening up a civil case

BON VONAGE! We had…read moreVonage home VoIP for about 7+ years. At first, it seemed like a smart move & decent price, solid service, and it did what it was supposed to do. Unfortunately, that version of the company appears to have retired years ago. What replaced it was a masterclass in charging more while delivering less: steady price hikes, declining reliability, poor value, and customer service so ineffective it almost felt performance art. The phone somehow managed to fail most when we actually needed it. I called multiple times and made it clear I was ready to cancel unless the issues were fixed. The response? Indifference. Most calls turned into a time-wasting combination of hold music, transfers, "can i place you on a two min hold and check what i can do for you?" x 7 and unresolved problems. Then, as a final punchline, they'd send an email asking me to refer friends and family for a tiny reward and rate the agent I had just spoken with. Bold strategy. I honestly don't know how they're still around. We finally canceled for good, and it has been one of the more satisfying administrative decisions we've made. I would never recommend them, never use them again, and if they were the last phone company on earth, I'd probably start sending letters.

I was drawn to Vonage because they advertise that prices start at $13.99 for a single line, which…read moreseemed like a great deal. But when I called to get set up, I was told that with taxes and fees, the monthly total would be between $26 and $30--more than double the advertised rate. I understand that taxes and fees exist, but this level of markup feels deceptive. If the real cost is over $25/month, then $13.99 is clearly not an accurate starting point. It's disappointing and feels like a classic case of bait-and-switch pricing. I expect more transparency from a company in the communications business. I ultimately chose not to go with Vonage because I value honesty and upfront pricing.
