Went here tonight with my son and my mom for my moms birthday dinner. From the start we were greeted with big smiles and friendly hellos! We were asked if we wanted regular seating or to sit at the oyster bar...we chose regular seating and picked a table. Hannah was our server and she was great! My mom really wanted to try fried oysters for an app but they don't have one but Hannah asked and she came through for us! The oysters were very good and we all ordered our dinners and each got something different. My son got fried catfish nuggets my mom got fried flounder and I got the fried shrimp all were delicious and we each also got two sides with our dinners! My son loves sports so he loved the TVs and the place was nice and clean. We will def be going back to try more and will be asking for Hannah! We ate at the Oyster Bar and loved the food and service. Oyster PoBoy was spot on and my Flounder dinner was really good. Had the new potatoes and coleslaw. Really good and the bartender made me a great Mocktail. We'll be back! read more

Bartender in the oyster bar was very unprofessional. No olives for the martini. No traditional cocktail sauce. Their home made version was not good. The fried oysters were excellent. They cost a $1 some times but no on could tell us when. The new menu and the fact that they now have real silverware is a step up! read more

Simple place, but the service is good every time we visit and the food is great!! The seafood is amazing and I have had both the Reuben as well as the Philly steak sandwich and both were fantastic! It's a little off the beaten path, but it's definitely worth a visit! read more

Stopped by on a Friday night for some seafood and was super impressed with the quality of the seafood and the staff working. I had the Slammin Sammy Platter which included hoop cheese, 6 oysters, a half lb of shrimp and a crab cluster. Everything was excellent however the real stand out in the platter were the local oysters. My wife had the scallops, while good, we felt they weren't worth the price for what you get so would likely not order them again. (I know scallops are expensive but the platter is a much better bang for your buck). Service was great and there is a full bar with speciality cocktails as well. The atmosphere is great, we loved sitting at the oyster bar while having fresh oysters shucked right in front of you. This is a great spot in Washington, and we were told of future plans for some outdoor space/tables and a music venue. We will definitely be back! read more

Went here for a random dinner during the week. The menu had a wide range of options that were not just seafood but also options for those that don't eat seafood. Good attentive service. It has a more upscale sports bar type feel but is casual. While prices were a little bit higher, portion sizes were large and were appropriate for pricing for what we received. Pricing for lunch seemed to be very reasonable and will be back to try the lunch options sometime. Overall a solid addition to the restaurants around Washington. read more

We have eaten here several times. It's always been just my wife and myself. We love the seafood. It's a bar like atmosphere but that hasn't bothered us. We are in our mid 60's. This last time was last Monday May 20,2026. We had 4 adults and 2 children ages 2 and 5. This is the first time since the restaurant had changed over to Slamming Sammy's Oyster Bar/Daddy Dave's Sports Bar. It was 6:45 pm when we got there. We were immediately seated. The young lady took our drink order and passed out the menus. The sweet tea was awesome as was everything else that we had. I had the 3 item platter. I had 12 medium sized shrimp, 2 pieces of flounder and I think 10 or 12 oysters and sweet potato fries. I got a side of homemade cole slaw. These were the best oysters I think I have ever eaten and I have more than eaten my share of oysters. They were seasoned perfectly and fried absolutely perfect!!! I gave my wife some of my shrimp and my 5 year old granddaughter ate 3/4 of a flounder fillet. Everyone said that their food was wonderful. Most every adult had seafood and the 5 year old chicken tenders and some of Grandaddy's flounder. The 2 year old ate from his parents playes. The waitress was very attentive and friendly. The only drawback we had was there weren't any hush puppies or anything to munch on while we were waiting for our food. I understand that this is basically a bar type situation, but we should have had something to munch on while we were waiting for our food and we ordered a lot of food and drinks. I give the Food a10!! The service was a 10!!! The atmosphere a 9, but remember this is basically a bar and they are just getting the place started. I will say that they need to start putting something out for the customers to snack on until the food gets there!! We will be coming back because they have wonderful staff, the food is amazing and you just don't get fried oysters and shrimp as good of quality as these are except very close to the beach. I wish Washington had a true Restaurant that served the quality of food and the quality of service that this place has. Thank you Slamming Sammy's Oyster Bar and Daddy Dave's Sports Bar. My folks found Slammin Sammy's a few weeks ago and have been 5-6 times. I met them there tonight after making a 45 mile drive. Maybe the best oysters I've had! Large and salty and perfectly steamed! All the staff are happy and friendly. Sammy moves around the restaurant making sure his guests are enjoying themselves. I can't wait to go back next week and take my wife. If you're in the Washington area, this is definitely worth a try if you love oysters!! read more
