They messed up one of our orders and fixed it with a smile super quick! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. My fried fish was huge and flavorful. The sauce was great too. My bowl was overflowing with delicious fries. My clam chowder was creamy, thick, and delicious. I love these types of places - you know, the places where you can get fried, greasy deliciousness... or opt for a healthier grilled bowl/salad. There's options for just about anyone. They even have a kid-friendly kid menu (non fishy options). I came on a Sunday afternoon and this place was more packed than I ever saw the previous restaurant. Hopefully that means it sticks around! I would definitely drive back up here from Salt Lake! This vegan left her comfort zone and had the Simple Fresh Fish Salad with Tilapia. So good and had the protein I needed!! If you are looking for delicious, fresh and fast seafood in Davis County look no further because Slapfish has opened at Station Park! It's so good it even made this non seafood eater a believer! (Our son currently living in Maine would be so proud!). The lobster roll is the star of the show. You are definitely going to want to have one if you like delicious rolls (made by Utah's own Stoneground Bakery) served warm, filled over the brim with tender lobster and tossed in a mix of butter, mayo and lemon. I have been able to try just about every single thing on their menu and it is all incredibly delicious, not to mention pretty to look at! The only thing that's different from other Slapfishes, is that they use reusable plastic bowls for soup, and also fish & chips, which earned more brownie points from us, given that other stores use disposable paper bowls. We love eating here and frequent it on Taco Tuesday for $3 street tacos! Delicious. Our info shows that they are open until 9 pm but we went at 8:15 and although the front door was unlocked we were told they were closed. The manager was great. Dropped everything she was doing to help a disabled gentleman out front that wasn't even a customer. She wins the day. The food was good but a challenge to eat. My bride ordered the mega fish burrito or something to that effect. At least 4" in diameter, no way to eat without a knife and fork. I ordered the Dagwood fish sandwich. It includes approximately a 1" layer of fries under the fish patty. Seems pretty unnecessary considering there's a side of fries with the sandwich. Impossible to eat with the extra fries buried underneath. Very possible to eat with them removed. read more

Fresh fish available tonight was big list. Made our orders and had our food in less than 10 minutes. Great Crew here! Very helpful and very nice customer service! KUDOS!!! Had the fish & Chips. Option of fried or grilled. Grilled is my choice. Fries are top notch!! Fry sauce is OK, not from Utah. Fish was hot and grilled just right. Wife had the bowl with Mahi Mahi, fries and slaw. Slaw was pretty good with a hint of spice. Also they're tarter sauce is unique. Light and tasty. Average meal is around $12-15. With extras ours was $34. Highly recommended! I had the fish and chips and it's the best I've had in Utah so far (I'm from Australia). Simple and basic but done correctly. Also love that they provide enough tartar sauce to eat your fish with. Will definitely be a regular :) Update: 6th May 2019 Finally got the opportunity to have lunch at Slapfish again. My family tried this restaurant based on a friend's recommendation. The restaurant was very clean and the staff was patient and kind. We tried a variety of dishes and shared. The ultimate fish taco on a flour tortilla was beautifully presented but the flavor was one dimension-mayo. The lobster grinder looked good but the creamy sauce overshadowed the lobster. Too big for the plate and mostly rice and sauce is the epic fish burrito. The kids menu fish bites and fries was okay. Overall, the food was not satisfying or fulfilling. This place has really good fusion dishes, and a few favorites that really knock it out of the park. If you're looking for 'traditional' seafood, this probably isn't the place for you but try a few new dishes and you'll be pleasantly surprised. It's been a while since I have written a review. Covid has slowed my dining habit. But tonight demands I make the effort. I have been a Slapfish fan since the first food truck experience. They have done a nice job of maintaining quality as they have expanded into a new business model. But tonight my experience was unacceptable. I am a fan of the "Grinder" plate. Simple and filling. At $17 its a steep fee, but I usually feel good about the meal. That was not the case tonight. I arrived at 4:30, and was one of about 10 in the restaurant. I ordered the Grinder and gave a 25% tip. Thats $21. $21.00! After waiting almost 30 min what I received was a heaping plate of fries, about 2 oz of Grinder schemer on the butter bun and a 1oz piece of lobster. I was shocked. As my food arrived the restaurant was quickly flooded by new patrons. I attempted to get the attention of the staff and was told "I'll be right back" no less than 4 times. Out of frustration I ate my plate of carbs and fat and left. I gave a star because what was served was of good quality. Very good fries. The little piece of lobster was fresh. Based on value of the meal I would have given 0 stars. I will not be back again. read more

Second trip could be last. On our first trip we ordered Halibut Fish and Chips. We chose the two piece option. For two orders we spent over $35 which seemed high for a fast food joint. When the food arrived it was double what we expected but was delicious. We thought okay next time we will split an order and it will be perfect. Tonight we ordered one order but when it arrived it was not halibut. I suspect it was Tilapia because it had a very fishy taste. I thought perhaps they didn't understand our order so I sent back to reorder. We were told they don't have halibut anymore. Very dissatisfied. On the bright side the people and service were very nice and the clam chowder was excellent. I won't be rushing back since half the menu features Tilapia, an inedible fish designed to increase profits. I really don't mind paying more for the halibut but now that option is gone. read more

Quite the place! It looks, feels, orders, delivers, and everything acts like a fast food when you enter the restaurant. It is that exactly. But when you order go to order and pay, it seems like you just had dinner and had a five course meal at Ruth Chris's Steakhouse or La Caille! It's true I could have fed 5 people at Long John Silvers or Arthur Treachers do the same price, but the quality would not have been even close to the same. Now for the review: My wife and I have never been to a "SLAP FISH" nor have we even heard of it and that's why we decided to try it. We walked in and looked at the menu and prices and thought, Were is the Maître d' or the Host/Hostess? We ordered the Bowl of Clam Chowder, the Two Piece Fish & Chips and a drink each. I gasped when I heard the price and my wife mentioned, out loud, it better be great and worth it! We paid ($49.11) for our meal and received our Order Number and went and found us a table. We went and got our drinks and we went back and sat at our table. I noticed and overheard the two "Girls" talking about me and my wife and our comments at the register while we ordered. I was ok with it. We received our Clam Chowder first, like an appetizer, and it looked amazing. We started our clam chowder and we both in, unison, went "WOW!", it was way better than I expected it would be. I have to admit that I was Super Surprised in the Quality and Taste. The photo does not do it any justice! It was Pure Heaven and definitely the best Clam Chowder I've ever had. Bubba Gump's and Red Lobster had nothing as good. Great start. We then sat for about three minutes after finishing our Clam Chowder when our main meal or the Fish and Chips arrived at our table. You can order your Fish and Chips either Deep Fried (traditional) or Grilled. We both ordered ours grilled. Mine came with three pieces of fish and a fair amount of seasoned fries or chips. It also came with a mild, but excellent flavored Dill/Lemon Sauce and ketchup. I have to say that the fish tasted fresh, not previously frozen, and amazing great! The fries or chips weren't my favorite, but they were well prepared and cooked, almost to perfection. Very impressed with the quality, taste, preparation and presentation. All in all, I started my experience out with regrets of choosing this place and then paying the price. I ended this experience feeling I got my money's worth, the quality and the amazing service I would have and did expect. I would recommend this place to all I know and to everyone that want and can afford this type of fast food experience. Our entire family thoroughly enjoyed this spot to and from our destination road trip. Rice bowl, lobster roll and fish n chips were our favorites. Their halibut is well worth the upgrade. We went here specifically looking to get a lobster roll, as I had gotten a really good one in SLC just a few days before and wanted my husband to try one. The price for a lobster roll is so outrageous they don't even post it on the menu board to see. It was over double the cost of the lobster roll from another local restaurant! We decided against it, and ordered the crab/lobster grilled cheese with fries. It was really good, and very filling. The food we had was good, and I'm only leaving 3 stars due to outrageous pricing and it's not a full service restaurant. The young man who took our order (my memory is terrible but I believe his name was Tyson) was so kind, fun, and enthusiastic about the food that I couldn't help but really like him. He was sincerely passionate about the food. We took all of his recommendations and got the grilled fish tacos and salmon grilled fish bowl with sautéed veggies. It was all delicious and fresh. The best clam chowder i have ever had. This was my first visit here so of course i had to try everything. The lobster grill cheese was good. Super messy but good. I'm. It really sure how i feel about the ceviche. I probably wouldn't order it again. I also tried the street fish tacos. Both grilled and crispy. I liked the crispy taco better which made me wish i would of ordered the fish and chips. The street tacos are extremely messy. I wish they would use a thicker corn tortilla. But my favorite was the clam chowder. I just got a cup and in the future i will just get a bowl as my entire meal. It was so good. The chunks of bacon definitely made the soup. Friendly service, massive portions, and delicious food gives Slapfish five stars! Though the workers were mostly high school students, the service was excellent. Quickly took our order and brought out the food when all was ready. It came out hot so we knew it was cooked fresh. It looks like they have different fish daily, but I just went with a classic fish and chips. These chips were just French fries, but it was still delicious! The fish was fried just perfectly, not too much batter. The fries were great too. They had a nice seasoning on them. And there were so many!! There were so many fries that many people were not finishing them. Nothing is worst than a plate lacking a liberal portion of fries. If you have a group bigger than four, it may be tricky to get a spot. It was pretty busy - we had to wait a bit before a table opened up (luckily our food wasn't ready yet). I'm not a seafood junky so I probably won't choose to come back, but I appreciated the experience and would recommend it to others. read more
