I needed something quickly, so I decided to stop by this location instead. My first visit here was a great experience. The employees were attentive and greeted me as soon as I walked in. Every time I've come back since then, I've received the same excellent customer service. I especially want to recognize Andrew and Karla. They always go above and beyond to make sure I have everything I need. If something is out of stock or I realize I need something else, they take the time to help me come up with creative alternatives and find the best solution for my project. When I brought my contractor in to help remodel one of my units, they took the time to break down all the options to help us match the flooring perfectly. They went over different vinyl options for both the bathroom and kitchen, making sure we had all the information we needed. They were super helpful, and even for my social media, they helped me make a little video, and the owner even came over to say hi. They loaded everything up in the truck, and I was on my way in no time. They have excellent pricing, great service, and are genuinely kind people. Roma Tile & Stone sells from what the manufacturers currently supply. They have a lot of samples and catalogs, and I love that they are right in mid Los Angeles, with easy metered parking close by, and a parking spot or two in the back . I didn't order tile through them (yet) as I'm looking to restore antique tile in my bathroom. Jay was kind enough to refer me to two other custom tile makers in LA. I definitely recommend buying from Roma Tile & Stone.

I had one of the worst experiences ever with Discount Floor. Yes, their prices are cheaper than…read moreother stores, but the quality is absolutely the worst you can find in Los Angeles. They sell engineered wood flooring without proper protective coating, which is why the price looks low -- but you end up paying much more later. As soon as a little water touched the floors, it penetrated straight into the wood and changed the color. We were shocked. We had just spent a lot of money on new flooring, and instead we ended up with damaged wood within days. Because of these issues, we couldn't even move into our home. We had to stay in an Airbnb while dealing with the problem. We spent over $4,000 on temporary housing because of the extremely poor-quality material they sold us. Discount Floor sells cheap, low-quality engineered wood with almost no protective coverage. We will never buy from them again, and I strongly do not recommend them to anyone. Save yourself the stress, the money, and the headache. Go somewhere else.

Karen consistently went above and beyond, presenting new ideas, pulling samples, and quickly bringing up catalog photos for every direction we considered. Our project feels overwhelming but she made it feel manageable and even enjoyable. We've since gone back for additional samples to test at our construction site, and each time she has been just as responsive and accommodating. We purchased: - tile for our entryway, 3 baths, kitchen and laundry room, - glass tile backsplash for 3 baths and kitchen, and - two bathroom vanities. Now that we're extending our kitchen, we'll need more quartz and backsplash. We wouldn't have called anyone else. When we first visited Dave's Tile, we went with our contractor, and we were soooo overwhelmed at first. It's like a remodelaholic dream! But the staff was knowledgeable and available to present some beautiful options in just about any price and color range. I was delighted to know that they had much of the material in-stock. And the material that had to be ordered was available the same week. Because they're used to dealing with contractors, you can place an order by phone, pay by credit card, and have your contractor pick it up for you when it's ready. This is great if you're actually at work, you know... to pay for all of the beautiful tile, and you don't have time to drive over to place the order. Haha! Forget your "favorite handyman store". I am in the market for 2 new bathroom vanities that require custom measurement and decided to give them and their cabinet maker Abel a try. From the time I received the first estimate from them, the price and what that price covered repeatedly changed upwards. After going into the store (were the estimates changed again), I picked out the type of cabinet I wanted, in the color stain I wanted it in, along with my countertop options. I told both Abel when he came out to take measurements and Flor when I made my final selection and paid an advance payment of $1500 that I didn't want painted cabinets and only wanted real wood with a stained finish. Today, almost 2 weeks after placing my cabinet and countertop order, I get a call stating the price quoted only included painted cabinets and they have to be that white or grey. Long story shorter, I immediately left work to go get my full refund. I live less than 2 miles from well established, reputable, wholesale mill works and stone yards in the Southbay area and will be taking full advantage of the higher quality countertop and cabinetry options, for lower prices, from local businesses around the corner from me in Gardena. FYI: They got the 3rd star from me because I never would have found out about the mills and stone yards in my area if they weren't trying to price gouge me on my cabinetry.
