It was a big order, so there were changes along the way and he was happy to accomadate. We even met at the store with our tile installer and he helped get us all on the same page. On a Saturday, we spent several hours with her exploring bathroom tile options--and even as we changed directions multiple times, she remained incredibly patient, attentive, and helpful throughout the entire process. Karen consistently went above and beyond, presenting new ideas, pulling samples, and quickly bringing up catalog photos for every direction we considered. Our project feels overwhelming but she made it feel manageable and even enjoyable. We've since gone back for additional samples to test at our construction site, and each time she has been just as responsive and accommodating. Her turnaround on quotes--and updates as our plans evolved--was always prompt and professional. We truly cannot recommend Karen and Elit Tile highly enough. I never stepped foot in this store but had fantastic service from Edward. I'll explain.... We are remodeling our bathroom. Me and my husband were on the hunt for the "white octagon with black dot" floor. We searched and searched and came up empty handed. Eventually my husband found it online at this place. He wanted me to call and confirm that they did indeed have it before driving to Los Angeles from Long Beach. We were in luck, they DID have it!! We wanted to see/feel a sample of it before buying a bunch of it. Edward told me they have a sister company in Anaheim (see last review) that I could pick it up at instead of going all the way to LA, which was great. He was quick to set everything up and I was good to go to pick up the sample right away. We LOVED it! We were then looking for a 2x2 black square for our shower floor. We got a sample elsewhere of a matte finish as well as a shiny finish, we were leaning towards the shiny so I asked Edward if they had it so we didn't have to go to multiple tile places; they had one too! Although the photo I included says "matte" Edward told me it was more of a satin, which is in between matte and shiny. He arranged for a sample pick up of this one too. We LOVED it as well. Both tiles FEEL so nice. They seem very high quality too. We got a reasonable price on both. I can't wait to see the finished project. I can post "after" photos when all is said and done. Elit Tile has a huge selection from a number of well-known suppliers, and the prices seem very competitive. The showroom itself is somewhat chaotically laid out, however, with so much to look at that it can quickly become overwhelming. It also seems geared primarily toward professionals or homeowners shopping with their designer. The staff are mostly there to answer basic questions and tally up your purchase, rather than guide you through the design process. Still, if you know what you are looking for and are willing to sort through everything, there are plenty of good options and some excellent values. read more

Elit Tile's return policy is meaningless if they can simply invent new restrictions after taking your money. My experience with Elit Tile began with them failing to deliver the order I paid for. I purchased 8 pieces of tile, but their vendor only shipped 6 pieces. I had to discover their mistake myself. Had I not counted the order, I would have left with an incomplete purchase. Later, they actually tried to use the cost of correcting their own shipping mistake as a reason to deny my return. After bringing the completed order home, I realized the tile did not match my existing flooring. I immediately contacted Joy Lee and requested a return while the tile was completely unused. Here's the problem: at no point before my purchase did Joy Lee tell me that returns supposedly depended on vendor approval or that orders under four boxes could not be returned. That alleged restriction was never disclosed in the store and does not appear anywhere in my sales paperwork. Only after I requested a return did Joy Lee suddenly claim that the vendor would not approve it because the order was under four boxes. That completely defeats the purpose of having a return policy. If customers are never told about these restrictions until after they pay, then they don't have the information necessary to make an informed purchasing decision. Instead of standing behind what was represented at the time of sale, Elit Tile relied on an undisclosed vendor policy that was never communicated beforehand and refused to accept responsibility. My tile was unused, my return request was made promptly, and yet I was simply told the matter was "closed." If you're considering purchasing from Elit Tile, ask for every return restriction in writing before you hand over your credit card. Otherwise, you may discover after the sale that the return policy you thought you had doesn't actually apply. read more

Great selection, terrible customer service. It's a great place to look for the tiles you are interested in, but their customer service makes you want to buy elsewhere,, which is what I did. I've never been i that type of business and been so blatantly ignored. This happened to me on two separate visits where all the associates were sitting at their desks, not helping anyone else but could not be bothered to even look up to acknowledge me. I'm very disappointed with my experience. I ordered a sample after seeing it in a store and really liking its look, but the piece I received was completely different -- the color, texture, and overall appearance had nothing to do with what was shown online or in the showroom. The sample was clearly defective and in poor condition. When I contacted the company, the response was dismissive and unhelpful. They simply said they "cannot control how the tile looks" and refused to offer any replacement or refund. Very poor customer service and a disappointing experience. I wouldn't recommend ordering samples from them. read more

Its clean and things are kept in order so you can actually see the options without rummaging through stacks of tiles. I live around the corner from this store, and my neighbor recommended this place to me. First of all, they have a huge showroom and a variety. Due to a time constraint, I left in a hurry but made sure I wrote down the item numbers and took photos of them. I contacted the sales rep on the phone and got linked up with Karen Barrientos. She is extremely helpful, flexible, and prompt in answering all my questions. I just made the payment over the phone (so convenient!) and am waiting for the shipment (3-5 days only).
