I called 8 different sprinkler companies over that last 3 weeks and SLC Sprinkler Pros was the only one who called me back. So we set an appointment for someone to come out and give an estimate for 4PM today. At 8AM I was contacted and they said they had the tech on the way. An entire crew showed up and Gianni quickly gave me an estimate to troubleshoot all 11 zones. I agreed to the price and they got started. The main issue was quickly identified as the system filter was the wrong type, and was totally clogged. The right one was quickly installed and things were much better. Then the tuning of each zone ended up with replacing 3 large heads and filter and nozzle replacements on many of the others. Secondary water really does a number on residential systems. The landscaper who installed my sprinkler system winterized it and then moved on. I was unable to figure out how to get the sprinkler system up and running, and reconnected to the Rachio controller, on my own. I assumed it would take weeks to get someone out to look at it, but Frankie from SLC Sprinkler Pros made time on a Saturday evening after his regular workday to come and sort it out for me. I couldn't be happier. It turns out that my landscaper didn't make the right decisions when installing the sprinkler system, so SLC is going to come back and move/change some of the heads and also put in concrete edging, which is one of the many other things they do. So I was in a pickle, I had no idea why my valve box was filling with water when I turned on my main water, I did everything I could. I had just laid new grass seed so I didn't want to keep watering by hand. Frankie came out, ran some tests and found out what was the problem. Instead of saying it was broke and getting me to get everything, he tried a few tests just to make sure. He found out the issue and had it fixed for me. Frankie Rocks!! I had him out 3 weeks ago for a consultation. I needed ideas on what to do for my yard. I needed a new low maintenance yard since the house was going to be occupied by my son and 3 other college boys. It was like he read my mind. Remove a couple trees, remove all old sod and top soil, remove old sprinkler systems... Build a French drain over here, add a rock wall over there, add drip lines in the new mulched areas, add liner and Chad in the gaming areas, add new sprinkler lines, quality top soil and sod... We shook hands and agreed on a price and a tight time frame. I needed him done by August 8 when the kids return to school. He was able to move a couple clients around (sorry if that was you) and he already got it done!!!!! Best part is he installed a new wi-fi sprinkler controller, programmed it, and set it up on my sons phone! Easy peasy! I'll definitely use Frankie and SLC Scapes on my next house! He convinced me to install a new Smart Wi-Fi Irrigation Control system, a great decision, which has helped me save money (and water usage) by not watering on days where rainfall is predicted. Frankie came to repair a broken sprinkler head as soon as possible (his next available appointment was a week earlier than our usual repair company; I asked to be on a wait list if he had an earlier opening, which he did). Beware! I hired Frankie due to his rapid reply for my cry for help. The next day he and his crew were excavating my stop waste valve WITHOUT USING BLUE STAKE. It was fortunate they were digging by hand as their hole came within 1' of the gas main. All of the rocks, and there a lot of them, removed from the hole were disposed with in MY TRASH, which of course illegal. Frankie asked for payments to be in cash so he could give me a "discount". Being new to the State I was unaware Frankie's fees WERE COMPLETELY OUT OF LINE! I will never use this company again. read more

I made an appointment w/ them last week, then whoever the guy was called me the morning of the appt. to tell me they charge a $69 fee just to come out & look at the project. When I mentioned that I would be getting more than just their bid, he suddenly turned really cold, cancelled on me & hung up! If they can't handle the fact that there would be other bids, that tells me that they likely know they are higher priced than any others! Highland was way on top of it, called me to review their bid and helped me understand the difference of going with someone else and they guarantee their work etc. they came in on time and budget as suspected. helped me with a ton of stuff i simply didn't know how to do, or want to do for that matter. my yard and lawn sprinkling system is simple and easy, took all the time i needed to help me understand how it worked etc. They ended up doing some other work for me, landscaping rock, pavers, etc. they did it quickly and it looked great, all in all super happy with the service and quality I received from Frankie and his group. From the great customer service from Chris in the office to Frankie and his crew coming out to work on my System, prices were fair, and they were knowledgeable. Showed up when they said, showed me how to do some basic maintenance, and adjusted my head and replaced Two of them for free, as I had them replace my sprinkler box that had not been cared for properly and had frozen over the winter. Frankie winterized my system last October, but when I tried to turn it on this Memorial Day weekend, the valve boxes filled up with water. I called Frankie but he was out of town. He said that a ball valve was open from the winterizing, and that he could walk me through fixing it myself. I was at work and would not get home till 9:30pm.
