Contacted SLC Scapes for the first time today, after much online research and finding this company had wonderful reviews. Now I know why! Reached out re: a possible valve leak, non-emergency call, but was pleasantly surprised by their prompt call back and response! Within only several hours from the initial contact call, Frankie arrived at 8pm! Frankie did a thorough diagnostic test/review on valves and backflow. He confirmed the main was functioning fine and holding pressure, however, the main on/off wasn't fully seated in correct position. Frankie took the time, even at the late hour, to inform and educate me re: the entire system. All this without any charge whatsoever!! I was prepared to thank Frankie with a large tip for his time in troubleshooting, however, he would not accept. Thank you SLC Scapes for saving us time and money! Amazed. I've worked with a few other landscaping companies over the years, as well as a couple contractors and numerous subs for various jobs, and Highland Landscape is one of THE BEST I have encountered. I highly recommend. I needed my sprinkler system blown out to winterize it, and I called Frankie the week after he had already gotten to all the sprinklers in my neighborhood. He was concerned that freezing weather was coming, and he came THAT MORNING to blow it out. He then noted that my stop and waste valve wasn't draining properly, and he arranged to have it replaced THAT AFTERNOON. After about 32 years in the ground, my shutoff valve started leaking when turned off. Normally, I take care of the system myself, but this was more than I wanted to do, what with all the digging. So, I asked at the sprinkler supply place who a good person would be, and the counterman recommended Frankie. I gave him a call, he came right out to look at it, and was able to do the work the next Monday. The work he did was great, and he does a lot of little things that others probably don't do. I couldn't be happier with my experience with Frankie and Chris at SLC Scapes. I had an trench digger in last fall to install some electrical and it completely ripped up all of my sprinkler wiring. Chris scheduled my appointment and Frankie came to do the work. Frankie ran all new wiring to 3 separate sprinkler boxes and got my system working again in just a few hours. Frankie is amazing, hands down the best guy to work with. He is honest and very knowledgeable. Our stop & waste valve gave out on a Saturday afternoon, I'm pretty sure it was original to the house (1958), Frankie and one of his guys were there on Sunday morning and had it done in under 3 hours! I had him come back a couple weeks later to blow out the system for winter and again he did a fantastic job. Very fast and efficient. I just tried to call Highland Landscape (aka Highland Sprinklers) to have them come and repair a broken sprinkler. Mysteriously, the message on their voice mail says they won't be back in the office until September 25 (it is August 9 now) when they plan to start winterizing sprinkler systems. Their website shows what is supposedly their calendar and it is completely blank. I'm not sure what type of sprinkler company or landscape company only does winterization, but this seems to be the case for this company. read more

We had an emergency situation with a leaking sprinkler line going into our basement. I called Frank and he dropped everything to come help. He continued work the next day. He worked so efficiently and quietly that I didn't know he was there until he knocked on my door to show and discuss his work, prior to finishing up. He costs a bit more but if you want a job done right and done well, he is the one to call. We had this problem "fixed" by two other companies. It is nice to know that it is finally done! read more

We tried, for weeks, to get our regular sprinkler service to come out and turn the sprinklers on. They couldn't manage it. At the recommendation of another fellow in the business i called Highland Sprinklers and he came out that evening, turned the system on (after closing the valves..), and gave me pointers on how I could adjust things to work better. These guys are phenomenal! Our water main broke and needed an emergency repair. Frankie told us it would be a 2-3 day repair but had our water back on in less than 12 hours! He and his crew are extremely hard workers and very professional. He took extra time to explain all the repairs and made the yard look like they were never even there upon clean up. This is a follow up review to my previous one from last year. We had Highland Landscaping do a major project, among which was to put in new sod. We hadn't ever put it in before and were nervous about it surviving first the hot summer, then the cold winter. I had a stop and waste valve that needed to be replaced, and they clearly explained each step of the repair, let me know of any potential pitfalls, then knocked the work out in a couple hours. I spent two days struggling to make the fix. It didn't work. Frankie came in, fixed it surprisingly fast and scheduled a follow up to work on another issue that I hadn't planned on fixing for another year or so. Frankie and his team helped us level our yard and set up an irrigation system. They were able to complete the whole job in just two days, were very thorough and didn't cut corners.
