I went to Sleep City - Lewisville a few days ago and did NOT have a pleasant experience. I would recommend going elsewhere. I told the salesman what mattress I wanted to look at, and he asked me 10,000 questions while steering me towards every other mattress in the store. It was just overall quite unpleasant. Then he kept pressuring me to buy that day and to finance. He was probably trying to pressure me before I did any research because the mattress I liked cost 3x more at his store than it did on Wayfair. We went to the Sleep City-Lewisville location because they had Dream Cloud mattresses in store to look at. Once we got there, the sales person, Daniel, was quick to begin pushing various mattresses at us. I found a different brand than the one we went in to look at that I really liked but he convinced us to purchase the Dream Cloud, telling us "Although I don't have this model in the store to show you, it's just like this one that you like." We should have known better than to fall for that, but didn't. The mattress we bought is just a month old and already sinks in the spots where we sleep. I would say good customer service yes. Friendly staff yes. I do want to warn people that these mattresses are not what you would consider name brand mattresses like you'd find at Mattress Firm. My other compliant is that most or a lot of the mattresses have no info on them so you don't know truly what brand you're buying or how the mattress is composed . Most people probably don't care about the brand as long as it feels ok, but brand can be important. I want to see what the bed is made of before I spend a lot of $$. And sometimes they'll have the shoe guards on the bed and it will have a name brand name on it, giving the allusion that it's the mattress brand and it's not. I think if you don't care about the brand you're buying and don't mind never being able to return the mattress for a refund, then this place is great for you. But the big names like Mattress Firm allow for a full refund. And they're everywhere and have been around for a long time. So you know they back their products, hence the full refund, not just a store exchange. read more

I purchased mattresses for my kids at this location in the past and had wonderful service so I came back today to buy a mattress for myself and staff member on duty was asleep!! I walked in, walked around the entire store, stood there for about 10 minutes while their employee was sound asleep in a reclining chair. I understand that it's a day after a holiday but this is completely unacceptable. I guess I am forced to take my business elsewhere as there was literally no one available to help me. My experience is this guy is a fraud. He sold me in June of 2011 a "mattress" which turned out to be a metal frame with a pillow top. A "floor model" he called it and was oh -so-sorry that it broke. How does a mattress break? When it is not a mattress of course. The apartment manager where I live assured me there was no way to fix this. A mattress (i.e. a stuffed block of fabric, it most definitely is not. But of course he would be glad to give me a little reduction on another mattress. Is he kidding? If he will cheat me once, he'll do it again. And I thought because he was retired military he might be a nice guy. I am a retied missionary and had very little here in the States. I have been sleeping on my couch for 10 months as there is no way to make do with this mess. read more

I was sold a fake brand mattress from this sleep city store. They refuse to give me a refund, will only swap out for another mattress and charge me redelivery fee. I have had the brand of the mattress confirm for me that it is indeed a fake as well. I bought my first bed in January 2019 , the quality of the bed is amazing. The first sales person to help me was Fantastic her name is Brittin. Brittin was sweet , polite and very helpful with tons of info. Then the next day i spoke to a man named Dan! He was okay not very customer friendly. I voiced my concerns with him about different bed styles. And Dan assured me i wouldnt have any of the issues i was worried about with the split king adjustable bed. My main concern was falling through the bed or my husband . So i came up with an idea to add the end rails to the sides to keep the mattresses on the bed base. DAN NEVER TOLD ME THAT THE BASE WAS SPLIT AS WELL AS THE MATTRESSES! i got the bed and was not happy . My husband and i are now sleeping in twin beds apart because the base slides apart on hard woood floors. Which i fell through and got hurt. I called and called left messages. So i called again less then 24 hours from having the bed and Dan put me on hold for over 25 mins as he took care of other customers, taking care of credit card transactions that I could HEAR OTHER CUSTOMERS CREDIT CARD NUMBERS being read back to them as Dan was making phone calls to other customers while leaving me on hold and even him shooting the breeze about computers with a co worker... as im still on hold for over 25 mins thats how long it took me to get to the store and walk in still on hold. He was short with me . Rude in his tone. Lied to me about the product and over charged my credit card. I informed another manager Issac from the Arlington store who was in Lewisville store that day and I was assured i would be credited properly. I Never was Credited Properly. I have sent other family to their store. One daughter had a great experiance with Brittin. My other daughter sammie true and her husband and myself today were not so lucky. Dan was the one there and was rude again. Raised his voice to me several times, cutting me off in mid questions .stopping from helping us to answer phone calls to help other customers and leave us standing there waiting for 2 hours. And then again talked down to me! Was rude with his words and correcting me on what he had told me when i repeated it back to him and was totally treating me like i was nothing. The Sales they advertise 80% off on floor displays was not honored! Dan bounced between 50% , 80% and 70% ! as a repeat customer buying 5 beds in 2 months to getting treated so wrong. he told me 80% off and then didnt honor it!! Then i get over charged again. Whats strange is the invoice he sent me has a lower amount and does not provide all the info but my receipt from wells fargo shows a much higher price charged on my card. after i start asking for help from managers and being fluffed off by other higher ups im at my witts end! Yesterday was my first time at SleepCity, I had heard about them through my parents who had recently bought a bed that they absolutely loved. Well my husband and I had been without a bed and sleeping in our living room with our 6 month old. My parents were kind enough to offer to buy us a new bed and since they like their bed so much my mom took us to SleepCity. She had previously mentioned the salesman named Dan who she had already had an unpleasant experience with but she was willing to give the store another chance to help us out. The store itself is very nice, clean, and welcoming. Dan however is not! He had another customer there when we arrived and he kept putting them on hold to take phone calls. He then left them standing at the desk to come talk with us but would leave in the middle of conversations to go back to that customer and then would make everyone wait to answer calls again. We would have patiently waited for him to finish with the other customer since they were there before us but Dan continued to bounce back and forth for over an hour. When he was assisting us he was extremely rude especially to my mom, who was a repeat customer. He did not explain things clearly and seemed to be very frustrated by us asking questions. He would cut my mom off, tell her he didnt say something he did, or tell her she was wrong about something he did say. For example she had us look at an electric queen that raises the head and feet. When she asked about the price originally he gave her a very low price but when checkout time came he gave her a completely different price. She reminded him of the amount he originally told her. Instead of nicely explaining things he cut her off and snapped at her saying "That's not the price I gave you. I didnt show you an electric bed and I never demonstrated that bed for you. I only meant the flat mattress." Even when my husband and I would speak to him he would cute us off, not answer direct questions, and then get frustrated with us as if we were asking to much. After over an hour of his rudeness we decided on a mattress and agreed to load it in my husband's truck instead of waiting for delivery. Dan did help get the mattress into the bed of the truck but offered no assistance in getting the box springs loaded or strapping everything down. Dan walked right past us as I'm standing on my toes trying to help my husband strap the mattresses into the bed of the truck. Honestly if it hadn't been for my mom telling us to just deal with him so we could get the bed I would have flipped Dan the bird, walked out, and continued sleeping on the couch till I could of afforded a new mattress from somewhere else. Dan's disrespectful attitude and poor customer service really diminishes the quality of this establishment. On the bright side my mattress is amazing! read more

They understand the products they sell and really listened when i explained my specific pressure point issues. They didn't force any specific brand, style or price point on me. When i made my decision they took care that my new mattress would be delivered exactly during the time frame they promised and i appreciated the follow up call they gave me. You'll receive less sales pressure, lower delivery charges, and a bigger slection than at RTG, mattress chains or dept stores. 5 stars and I'm telling all my friends. read more
