Ordered a Bloom mattress for my daughter on June 23rd and still waiting for it to be delivered. They still have no answer as to when it will arrive. Heard back from them the first couple weeks then no updates on what's happening. Probably going to get my money back and purchase elsewhere. Very disappointing! read more

I am completely disillusioned with Sleep Country customer care and will NEVER purchase another item from them again! I would give them a zero if that were possible. Buyer be warned!! Bought a complete king mattress & headboard, slept on it from July 2019 onward. It has at least a 3.5" divot from me sitting up reading in bed. Refused warranty because they claim it is stained from the pictures I sent in. How can they claim that from a picture when I see nothing looking at it from 12" away? So much for loyalty to repeat customer! My replacement will be purchased from Dodds or Brick! read more

One star is far too many. Terrible customer service and months of hell with a defective bed. I will never come back!

We had three months of hell. The only saving grace is that the sales manager in our local store (Victoria BC)--when we were at our wit's end--made things turn out okay. But up until then, here's what happened: 1. We went in to buy two mattresses, one Queen and one Full (Double). We went to Sleep Country rather than a department store because we assumed they were specialists who could better answer our questions. We felt uncomfortable asking questions and did not get real answers to them. There was no real "back and forth" on the question and answers. 2. They delivered TWO Queen mattresses. The friendly delivery men would not take away the wrong-sized mattress, telling us to contact the store. 3. We arranged a date for them to bring the Double in the place of the second mis-delivered Queen, and they came on the wrong date. 4. We arranged a second exchange date, which they mixed up a second time. 5. By this point we realized that the one Queen Mattress they had correctly delivered was not working out comfort-wise, and went back to the store to choose a different mattress based on their "100 night comfort guarantee". There was a problem over this. 6. We contacted the "1-800" Customer Service line to get some advice and information on how to deal with this. We thought they might be in a better position to give us some advice than the sales people. We were treated terribly. The Service Rep was very rude. We asked to speak to his supervisor, and he said it would be two business days before that would happen. When we asked him to confirm our phone number for the call-back the so-called customer service rep accused us of "playing games." Three months later, we are still waiting for that call back.... 5. We went back to the store for a third time and the sales manager was sympathetic. He did us the great service of cancelling the original deal and starting over from square one (a new 100 night comfort guarantee) on two other mattresses. He also gave us a free set of sheets by way of an apology. We arranged a delivery date "But wait!" as the ads all say.... 6. We needed to change the agreed delivery date. I called, confirmed the change and called a second time to confirm. 7. The delivery guys showed up on the correct date, BUT with only ONE mattress--a Queen--telling me that the exchange of the mis-delivered Full bed was showing in their system as "Cancelled". I said no, I only cancelled that particular date, NOT the EXCHANGE itself. 8. Finally, the second, Full mattress was delivered. But it took several phone calls, at least three trips to the store, and a shockingly negative experience with the customer (non)service line. Overall, this was a mess. If it hadn't been for the personal intervention of the sales manager, doing what we suspect was a departure from Sleep Country's policies, this would have been a total disaster. The free sheets set is appreciated but we don't think it was worth three months of hell. I was in to pick out a bed today and the service I got was out standing.Answered all my questions made perfect suggestions and was the cutest women with beautiful blue eyes and red hair, okay I know not what this is for but wow.....great service very helpful and polite. read more

I got great, fast and helpful service at this Sleep Country location! My partner and I were looking for a new bed and had been shopping around online for quite some time before we finally caved and went shopping and Sleep Country. We had some reservations about shopping there (aggressive sales people, complicated payment plans etc) but it turned out great! The attendants were busy when we first came in so we got some time to wander around by ourselves before we were greeted and asked if we needed help -- we admitted we didn't know much about mattress buying and that we were looking for something pretty soft to suit our sleeping needs. Manus (an older, bespectacled gentleman) showed us the nicest, most expensive bed but acknowledged that it was SUPER pricy and actively discouraged us from buying it. He then showed us all of the soft beds in the showroom which he though fit into our prince range (which he didn't even ask us for, he basically just recommended the softest beds with the lowest price) while giving my partner and I plenty of space to talk about the quality/prices of the beds we were trying -- I didn't feel crowded or pressured at all! When my partner and I had entered the store, we weren't planning on buying anything -- we'd pretty firmly agreed that we were JUST looking and that we wouldn't be talked into buying anything. But by the end of our visit we had picked out a bed (under his recommendation) all on our own! And it was affordable enough for us to pay for it in full right there and then. He offered us add-ons (mattress covers, bed frames etc) but only in a casual way; when we turned him down or mentioned we had plans to buy those things else where, he didn't pressure us to buy from Sleep Country or try to up-sell us. I would have said he actively encouraged us to make our own choices and buy products elsewhere! He explained their delivery and return policies very simply and gave us tons to helpful information without being overbearing or longwinded. All and all we were in the store for only 20 minutes! Considering our apprehension walking in, I think our visit's speediness can be attributed to the space and simplicity of our interactions with Manus and the other staff members at Sleep Country. He even got us a deal on our end selection and saved us over $500! I think the best part about our visit was how non-judgemental the staff we interacted with were-- as a queer couple, my partner and I are subjected to a lot of public scrutiny and erasure. Mostly people either show discomfort with our same sex relationship or assume we're platonic friends but the staff at this Sleep Country passed no judgement at all! We felt like just any other couple trying to buy a mattress! I would recommend this store to anyone looking to buy a new bed and especially to same sex and other queer couples and families! read more

With Sleep Country: Buyer Beware! At Sleep Country, you are greeted by a poster of Christine Magee, Co-founder and President, declaring "Our Promise". The top promise is "Comfort Guarantee". After our experience during the past half year, I wonder, just whose comfort the poster refers to. The customers'? Not likely! In July 2017, we decided to treat ourselves to a new bed and within an hour of entering the Sleep Country store, were convinced by an engaging salesman to have found what we were after. Our purchase was delivered to our home - still under renovation - in September, which is when we paid the full price of over $6,600. Our trial of the new sleeper was, however, delayed to late November, because of ongoing work in our home. By January, we found that we did not have a single restful night on the new bed. The Sleep Country folks were very obliging and supplied us with a new, cheaper mattress and refunded the difference. We appreciated that. However, that did not work out either, and we got a third mattress, which we appreciated again, even though now we were back at the original price. However, after two weeks' trial, that one did not work either. Both my wife and I are in our seventies and have musculo-skeletal problems. So, we may not be suited for these mattresses. However, now we met a brick wall with the Sleep Country folks. No, no further exchange, no taking back the product, even with an offer from us to get refunded for only half the purchase price of more than $6,600! Now in May 2018, not having had a comfortable night since November 2017, we wonder, whether the comfort guarantee is perhaps referring to the comfort of the company. Did it ever occur to the Sleep Country folks that their products may NOT be suitable to some segment of the population? Did they ever think of screening their customers in that respect? For now, it appears we are stuck with a loss of more than $6,600 for a product, which is of no use to us. So, buyer beware! read more

Sleep County has been a terrible place to purchase a bed from. We purchased a mattress set back in September only after a couple months we noticed the mattress was sagging quite significantly so we called customer service as we had a year warranty on it. They told us to send them a ton of pictures of different angles and with different items so we did everything they asked. Even adding additional pieces to our bed frame. With constantly having to call in and get a response of we never received the email then to send them all again with nothing return with a consistent calling and emailing it is now almost ayear since we purchased the bed and still have not received anything back from anyone if we will receive a replacement for the bed that should have been delt with when we originally put in a request. Very poor customer service and customer loyalty. read more

I bought the worst mattress EVER at Sleep Country. I paid $2000 for it and about 6 months later, it developed a sag in the middle. They do NOT honour guarantees or warranties. They simply tell you it's too bad for you you're out of luck. NEVER deal with Sleep Country! read more
