Julie was so helpful and knowledgeable, she would show me how to do certain types of wraps and give great advice. Since going through a spiritual awakening I definitely visit the metaphysical side of the store every time! That being said The shop has everything and they add daily to their inventory. The owners and staff are extremely kind and welcoming, the energy is beautiful there. My brain even gets to buzz while shop being around the crystals. The staff is helpful with assisting and answering any questions you may have. I feel like every visit there is something new to discover and everything is fairly priced. As you become a "frequent flyer" there you definitely build relationships which leads to communities which I personally Value. Also Boyd gives some of the best Tarot readings ever everything he says is extremely validating. Highly recommend!

I live in Union Pier and regularly shop here. I took my daughter and her friend in this morning and…read morespent $50 on overpriced "squishies" and "putty". Ironically while leaving the store I said to my daughter, "while I could get all of these items for a fraction of the cost on Amazon I don't mind paying more to support a local business." We then got into our car, she opened the squishy and after simply taking it out of the packaging it popped, exploding sand all over my car. After spending an hour vacuuming my car, I went back with the popped/defective item and asked for a simple exchange. (Note the cost of this item was $6.99). The manager refused to exchange it. Instead I was told that because the store has no way to verify the quality of its toys, it passes on the cost of such risk to its consumer. Notably, the store obviously chooses the products it purchases and then marks up for retail. As a regular customer at this store, it's not about the measly 7 bucks. It's the principle and the lack of customer service offered. Apparently the store knows that it operates more as a tourist trap and that the majority of its customers are visitors. In any event, I will not be returning and would highly recommend that all New Buffalo visitors avoid shopping here.

He said he would call me in the morning after he checked if it was there. I said it was an inconvenience because I live 14 miles away so it was a 28 mile round-trip for me to come and get it if it was there. No apology on his part. End of conversation. The next morning he called me and said the vase was there. I said I would come and get it. When I got there and he was putting the vase in the bag, he said "they tried to run after you, but they couldn't catch you." That was it. Still no apology, so: Me: No apology? Him: 14 miles is not far. (This is how I knew he was the same person I talked to last night). Me: It's a 28 miles round-trip plus the time, gas, and the inconvenience. Him: Do you want the vase or not? What a terrible way to treat a 30 year customer, or anyone for that matter. A simple apology for the error would have been the correct way to handle the situation. Needless to say, I'm done with Coachman Antique Mall.
