We always book Hilton Brand hotels. It was cold and snowy and just such a pretty area. Upon arrival the desk clerk informed me this hotel had flooded all the way up to the ceiling on the first floor and a few amenities were not avail. Such as the Pool, fitness center and first floor rooms. They were just waiting on paint and some furniture and they would be good as new. Don't let that hinder your visit . Out of every single Hampton Inn I have ever stayed at ( which is a lot) this room was the most comfortable room. So nice and clean and the beds were so comfortable. Shower was nice and big. Everything appears to be brand new. Check this Hampton inn out. It's a 20 minute drive to Asheville and I highly recommend it. 10/10.

It kinda feels like a dorm room but it's comfortable and all I need for most of my travel. As soon as I got in the room, the AC unit kicked on and it was LOUD with a pulsing vibration. Before reporting it as a problem I checked out the window by the wall, I lifted up the small flap/door and the noise stopped. Perfect. Problem solved. I really like that these properties have black-out shades. I almost always sleep like the dead. I mostly did here except there is a built in night light and it was really bright. Room is very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is good. Pretty basic with one or two hot items and a pancake machine. You can spread out anywhere in the lobby. My main tip for this property: even numbered rooms face out towards the parking lot and the mountains. I love the views as I washed the rainstorm come and go. I'd stay here again.

We travel a lot and we kind of steer towards the Holiday Inns just because of their mattresses and linen! So nice ! Lobby had a big fireplace going and hot coffee in the lobby. Bar had a good crowd. Located in a fantastic mountain setting, it is truly a retreat center and offers hospitality not found at commercial hotels. It is only a few steps from the Presbyterian's Assembly Inn and several miles to the Baptist's Ridgecrest and the YMCA's Blue Ridge Conference Center. We give it an A+ rating in every respect.
