We LOVE SliBuy! I'm not sure why they have all these negative reviews. If you read your rules and contract when you sign up, you get exactly what's laid out in the rules. I feel like a group of people got together to trash and ruin the companies' reputation online perhaps to keep them bidding low? We have been buying from them for the last year and we love it. I love getting a great deal and we are getting some high end items that we would never purchase otherwise. But for the prices, you cannot beat it. You also get what you get if you go in as a rude customer expecting brand new everything to work perfect this isn't Walmart a lot of it is items that have been returned or overstock items they guarantee their factory sealed items with a credit on your account if you buy appears new or used then you are taking a chance but that's what happens when you are getting it for a 10th of the price of retail if that. It took a minute to figure everything out, but once we understood the rules with Help from their online customer service email, it's easy to understand now. The Customer Service team is wonderful as long as you were nice to them. Going back to the get what you give. I've worked in Customer Service for many years now retired. People in the reviews act as if this is a retail store. If you went to a real estate auction, you couldn't come back later with something you bought throwing a fit that it doesn't work nine times out of 10. You are getting an awesome deal. This is the perfect local site for people that resell as well as random people like me that are using it to purchase personal items or gifts for loved ones. Just had to do my part and come on here and give these people a little love after l seen all the horrible reviews that at first scared me away, but so happy that I took a chance on them and tried it When you do deal with Customer Service, the ladies behind the window are busy, but very nice. No one's perfect of course there will be mistakes made, but with giving grace and asking questions you will find they are normal people like us not out there trying to rip anyone off you're getting awesome deals. The WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I purchased a $20 item which I could not fit in my car and rescheduled pickup. They forfeited my item of $20 because I was to pick it up on Sat but because of a death in family, I came to a rescheduled Tue(next day open) to pick it up. They FORFEITED this item from me and I DID NOT GET IT. I PAID FOR IT AND THEY DID NOT GIVE IT TO ME! They are mean, cruel, unfriendly and strict at this business to people who support them. The stuff has parts missing, broken, used listed as new, incorrectly listed,etc. and they have almost a 20% surcharge plus a per item $1 charge plus tax. They should not have forfeited my item which was to be picked up in a reasonable scheduled time frame. I had a death in family which created issues. Its not like it was months before I picked it up. This was knowingly done to be mean and cruel. Terrible customer service! For me wanting the the item I paid for, and creating an issue about it they now banned me from shopping there. It was knowingly wrong what they did to remove this item from my stuff for one day later pickup. I called the police because they would not give me my item and the police did nothing and said its a private business and its a civil matter. If you pay CLOSE attention and know what to look for and what to stay away from, you can do just fine. Don't just jump on and start buying. They have some amazing deals, but keep in mind, many things are returned that DO NOT WORK. They don't inspect the packages. For now we look for "shelf pull" meaning it's still sealed in the original manufacturers shipping. Unopened. Prolly like new. But there are NO returns. Nada. Zilch. Zip. No can do, so why do so many STILL try to return it and get mad when they don't let them?? GOOD QUESTION!! You can find some great deals here. Just be smart. And if you're fortunate to live close by, stop by the on site "store" which is really a bunch of broken crap mixed with brand new items and pieces of parts etc. You get the idea. Not really impressed with the product and their description. I bought a rolling back pack that said new. When I received it the handle was broken off and there were scuffs on the bottoms. Definitely used. Bought a space heater that said new, but it did not work. Would not stay on and had a bad smell for the short time it was on. I would suggest inspecting the products prior to leaving the warehouse. I have a couple other items I have not taken out of the box yet, I hope they have all the parts And are not broken. read more

This place used to be very good when at the former location. You could go and preview an item prior to bidding. Now you have to depend on their description and this is where the issues are now. They virtually list everything as either used, or New/Other. Neither of which give an indication of the condition or functionality of the item. Many "new" items are clearly used and/or damaged. With that said, I always look closely at the photos but now they are using a new trick. They will post a stock photo with a disclaimer saying the stock photo is just a representation and only to use the actual photos, however, the stock photo always seems to cover the area that is damaged or has a missing part but the other included photos cover the other sides of the item with no issues. I used to buy almost weekly from this place but now with what I feel are deceptive (or just plain lazy) descriptions, the buyer's premium and what I believe to be automated shill bidding by bots (can't prove that) I'm pretty much done with this place. This is not even mentioning the S-show that is the pick up process (allow an hour or more at busy times of standing waiting) Other than occasionally stopping in and going through the random bins of misc. items, I doubt I'll ever use this place again. Slibuy has been the most inconsistent company. Their employees tell you one thing one day, then completely backtrack the next. I was told I could test my items at pickup and request a same-day refund if they didn't work. You cannot bring items home and then request a refund... ok makes sense. SO when I returned expecting that policy to be honored, I was told it was "against the rules". I did my due diligence and spent nearly an hour testing all of my items at the warehouse, here's what I found: 7/10 worked great but I wanted refunds for 3 items that I tested on site- one electronic came with the wrong power cord (unusable), one had a corroded remote (only got a store credit), and one didn't even turn on at all (no refund). The policies are misleading, the employees are confusing, and the whole process feels like a bait-and-switch. I was told that since the items were listed as "not tested" there was nothing they could do. These items were all under the "New/Other" category. Only recommend for purchasing items that are not electronics. read more

The service is poor. You make an appointment days ahead of time but when you arrive and check in, you wait upwards to an hour. They lie on their auctions and say items are new when you get them home they are busted and used with some missing pieces. They offer no resolution. I had to file a complaint with the BBB. Sli buy has been a favorite of ours for years now. We feel that they do their best to show good pictures and describe the items as close as possible to their true condition. We do however understand that they in most cases, are returns and even sometimes used, we make sure we bid appropriately. We did have a situation last week where our product could not be located and we were told simply to go get it refunded. It was a substantial purchase & I was beside myself. It was a mattress & my daughter had already disposed of her old one. I requested to talk to a manager & was referred to Ashley. She didn't just apologize & give me a refund, but she listened. She allowed me to express my frustration, she offered me solutions and was very professional about it. She said she would go check it for herself & also check if she had one not yet auctioned that might be similar & could possibly be used to replace ours if necessary. That immediately put us at ease. When she returned having found what she believed was our original order she gave us the opportunity to verify that it was the correct one & that we were satisfied. This place is completely deceptive. The photos are intentionally misleading and do not represent the actual condition of the products. Items are falsely listed as "new," while defects are deliberately hidden by providing as few images as possible. Despite having an appointment, you're still forced to wait an unreasonable amount of time. When you finally receive the item, it turns out to be damaged or broken--and they absolutely refuse to offer a refund. This feels dishonest and unethical. no, I don't. I started shopping there back in 2019 and I was able to get some pretty good bargains. Some weren't so much as they were missing pieces and were unusable and I don't want to so much but the prices were low enough to to take a Hugh hit to the pocket. I raised my star rating from one to two because I really did like shopping in their warehouse area because I could look through the items to make sure what I wanted or was buying had all the pieces and I found a lot of things some basically but I found them and I purchased them, but as the years went by their became different and they didn't sell as many things as they used to kitchen sinks some appliances, products, and so and I always to pick up my items because shipping was too high and normally I bought larger items but now as I go onto the the prices have pretty much gone up and I know bidding starts at zero, but when it came to looking at things, I would always check the shipping charges because I can't drive out there any longer. It's a hour and 20 minute drive. Here's an example of something that is currently for sale something called a mini maker system and has five hours and 39 minutes left till the end of the auction. The current price is seven dollars but that most likely will go up closer to the end of the auction and after clicking on the item shipping charge is $15.78 to my ZIP Code and upon looking at the photos, which is really important to do, it shows the standard item as advertised from the manufacturer then the next show shows a picture of the box and then the next photo a picture of the box opened and it looks like quite a business things are look is just me. I think the maker part that you used to make it is missing so you bid online let's say it gets to $10 and you pay that shipping charge and you don't get the item that is really for sale because they say it's as is what's shown in the is what you get. I've been burned that way quite a bit like I said, but you really really have to pay attention to those photos because if the cord is missing and they don't show the cord you're out of luck it's most likely not there so be careful and be aware of what you buy. It's best if you can go in and inspect it before the auction ends. But that's my two cents. read more

So, after my 2 star review 3 years years ago I thought that I would try buying again from Slibuy. Since it recently came under new ownership/management that maybe, just maybe things might have changed. Boy was I wrong. The item I won 3 years ago was listed as New, Other and ended up being Used. So on 1/17/2025 I won another item that was listed as New/Other. The items description was listed as None. There were 4 pictures within the listing. The first photo is a picture of a stock item. The second picture is a picture of the box it came in. The third picture is a picture of the actual item taken from the front and at a slight angle looking from the top down. The fourth picture is a picture of the actual box the item came in. So pretty hard to tell if there's anything wrong with the item just by the pathetic picture taking that Slibuy does and only one picture of the actual item. So when I received the item today, 1/22/2025, and opened it, upon inspection realized that here we go again another Used item. It's a damn shame that a company would take advantage of it's customers and not stand behind what they sell. A week ago I asked a question about an item, a pair of headlights. I asked the question at midnight before the auction started and received a response the next day at 7:15 pm after the auction was over. So trying to ask a question before buying something is surely out of the question because you won't get a response till the auction is over. Hopefully this review helps others to not make the mistake of buying junk from this Auction platform. I believe my days of buying from this company are coming to an end in the near future. BUYER BEWARE !! Their YELP reviews would be less than one star, if YELP allowed ZERO stars to be selected. You have got to be very desperate to shop here !!! You may think you are getting a bargain, but in the end, you will pay a price - and it will most likely not worth it ! I had won the bidding on 5 different auction items, and scheduled to pick up those items with a 1:45pm appt. After traveling more than an hour to get there, I checked in at 1:20 pm. for my 1:45 appt., and confirmed that they had me down for 5 items listed for me to pick up After waiting over an hour and not hearing my name called for my order, I inquired what was taking so long. They told me they cannit find my five items, but a manager is looking for them (yeah, right!). After waiting another 40 minutes with no response, I ask again. The person at the scheduling desk says, she doesn't have an answer, but I can go ask at the customer service desk (which has 6 ppl waiting in line). After waiting, I ask the customer service person why I have to wait so long. She said her computer shows my name was called an hour ago, which it was not. She then tells me, oh wait, they cannot find my items, so they'll just give me a refund. So why did I have to wait almost 2 hours to find out about this ? She had no answer to that question. I then say so you're gonna give me a refund, and also compensate me for my time and gas that I wasted ? Her response: no, we will give you a refund of the price of the items. As if she's doing me favor to even give me that. So to summarize, this business commits fraud. They tell you they have an item to sell you at auction. You bid on the item and you have the winning bid, but apparently, if your bid was not enough profit for them, they keep the item, or sell it at a higher profit to someone else. What else could explain why they did not have these 5 items, and were so willing to give me a refund, without making any effort to determine what went wrong WITH 5 TOTALLY DIFFERENT AUCTION ITEMS. I believe there is a certain duty to service your customers. It does not exist here. I understand I bear some risk, but today is the end. When I picked up my box, which was sold as a "new/other" bird feeder, I asked if that was all? The box was very light. In fact only the shell of the feeder was there, it was missing the camera, the connections, the mountings, the plastic window to hold the seeds. I won a bid for a electric blanket, it says it was new. I checked before I left and because the lights came on the remote I thought it worked but when I tried it at home the lights still came on but it never got warm. I looked on the inside and it was a little dirty but smelled like it had never been washed. I think if Slibuy won't check to see if the item is as stated they should list the seller before anyone can bid and when someone purchase there item they can leave feedback. That way you know if you want to buy from that seller based on there feedback. I wish I knew who sold this used item and said it was new so I could leave feedback and warn the next person. if I could, I would give it, zero stars, and here's why. Everything that I won in auction was listed as new/other. according to their website new/other means a new item open box. everything was listed as tested. Below is a list of items that I won, that did not work and/or missing pieces. I thought I struck GOLD with some of the items I won by auction, Emeril Lagasse 360° French door air fryer. Opened the oven doors and the air fryer smelled like steak. It was filthy with grease from apparently a steak. It was missing needed pieces to operate. The pieces were in a clear plastic bag that one would only assume that all the accessories were in. I called to complain and I was told I should've looked at the picture better. There is no way by looking at the picture I would have seen any pieces/accessories that were in the oven. I spent $67 to replace those pieces. Margaritaville frozen concoction maker. Missing the lid to the ice reservoir and the lid for the margarita pitcher and it was under the category new/other, tested. This item will not work without the lid to the ice reservoir. I have no idea how they tested it. Also another filthy item. There was actually a dried liquid, I'm assuming was a margarita that was so bad I actually had to soak the pitcher to remove the chopping blade at the bottom. I have yet to purchase the missing items. They are very expensive. Ice reservoir lid goes for about $50 plus. I called on this item and was told I should've looked at the picture. Nesco fresh food sealer kit, with bags. Item listed as new/other, tested. Bags were missing, and the item did not work when plugged in. Tossed in the garbage. Tower fan with remote. Item listed as new/other, tested. Back of fan broken. Called and complained to slibuy and was told I should've looked at the pictures better. Stainless steel waterless pots and pans. You guessed it I called and complained and was told I should've looked at the picture. Rigid 9 gallon, wet dry vac. Marked as new/other, tested. The only thing that was in box was the barrel and a hose. No caster wheels. No accessory pieces. Just a waste of money. It's headed for my garbage. I called and complained and I was told.. I should've looked at the picture. I purchased other items that did not use electricity. All marked as new/other. The majority had no issues. I guess I looked at the picture, huh? I would never recommend this place for anything that you had to use electricity with. The auctions I won, and all the items that were defective or missing parts are big ticket items considering. The owner(s) / management take no pride in this business. It's quite disappointing to witness an established company still operating like a startup. I have been a customer since they began on Earl. I have spent thousands of dollars on their auctions, up to a year or so ago. My most recent purchase was a firm reminder - why I stopped dealing with this place. The item was listed as "New/Other". It clearly had been used, and literally did not even take but a few seconds after opening to see that parts were missing (ALL OF THEM!). It doesn't take a trained eye to see that this item should have been listed as USED. The listings on this platform are incredibly deceiving. I've purchased many items that were described as New/other", but when I received them, they were far from it. It is evident that the individual(s) tasked with rating the items are either: (1) intentionally exaggerating them for sales or (2) rating them off of photos that too are of extremely poor quality because what is stated typically does not match the actual condition of the item. In addition to this, every listing has one of the following generic statements under Auction notes: "Tested and Works, Untested, Powers On" or "See photos for what's included". If this doesn't scream, "We are too lazy to actually do our job, but if you're dumb enough to bid!" The lack of accuracy and transparency in their listings leave me feeling frustrated and misled. Furthermore, the customer support is delayed and the responses are unsatisfactory. It felt like the company was struggling with the organization skills necessary to handle customers efficiently, further reinforcing the startup-like experience. They sell a lot of Amazon returns. They are really slick. They cover their butts with crafty wording. "See pictures to see what's included " But they take deceptive shots. Sure, the box shows a battery and charger. But if it's not in the picture, it's NOT included! Although, it took some time, and lost money to learn their game, I am now a lot more savvy. Also, a lot of the crap they sell can be purchased NEW for not much more. And they add a "premium" And ship fees. Look at an item, google it. Be smart. Don't get caught up in the bidding frenzy. They have deceptive practices in their listings in that they list items as new and clearly they are not...they list as all pieces, batteries and chargers included when they were nowhere to be found...when you go to customer service for help, they are nasty and rude and pretty much tell you to get flicked! DO NOT BUY FROM SLI BUY !!! It's more like SL lie ! They deserve a negative 1. They list items as new/other. Over half the time the item isn't even new. Even when it is, it's missing critical parts ! Also they inflate the shipping fees to make even more money. They charged $17 to ship one roll of stamps ! If they don't show all the parts in the photos, they are NOT there ! Also they don't show all the damage either ! They take photos that don't show all the defects !!! As much as I like a good deal, I think I'll look elsewhere. I bought a cornhole set and all the corners were broken, there was a big hole in one of the boards. I bought a new vacuum, that was used. I bought a new coffee pot, that was used. WARNING I HAVE VERY LONG HISTORY (my error) - They say NEW/OTHER but items broken once ship they do not refund sold "as-is" and photos' don't show all sides of item. If broken they do not power-on to test or show broken/missing part/s. LONG history for items damaged in shipment NO ADDED PACKING MATERIAL !! Items so loose scratches on metal/chrome, crack plastic, bent and so on. I'm sure packaged by Kids off the street. They give no inventory of whats-what.
