HAWAIIAN HIT MAN Tomato Sauce, Mozzarella, Smoked Ham, Fresh Pineapple Rings, Applewood Smoked Bacon & Honey

Best pizza Ive ever had!! HAWAIIAN HIT MAN Tomato Sauce, Mozzarella, Smoked Ham, Fresh Pineapple Rings, Applewood Smoked Bacon & Honey

    Dale H.

Stopped by to grab a slice of the Hawaiian hit man since I've been wanting to try it for awhile now. The whole slice of pineapple paired with the bacon and delicious sauce did not disappoint! All it needed was a little spice but I added that myself. It was so crispy but fluffy at the same time, best slice I've had in awhile. Customer service could've been better today but it's the food that matters and that didn't disappoint! Love this location, if I wasn't grabbing it to go I would've enjoyed the atmosphere and patio for sure

I finally popped in to try a couple slices, which typically are on the larger size at places specializing in these things. I love that they offer so many styles, too, allowing as much as your stomach and appetite can handle. As such, I figured one NY slice and one deep dish would do the trick. It's not really a sit down place, inside it's tight with only one table and a wall-facing bar seating section. If it's warm though, there's lots outside tables. The display is impressive, and I wanted more than I could handle, so more future visits are assured. I liked the topping variations as well, visually, these appeal. Reheating only took a few minutes, and I grabbed a bar seat. Unfortunately, it was under the blower duct and it was a little chilly, but preferable to sitting by the door. I enjoyed both slices and felt full afterwards. The dobs of burrata were tasty, the pepperoni nice and thick, and I also liked the sausage. The deep dish was somewhere between Roman and Sicilian in texture and depth. The sauce variations are another angle of inquiry down the road, but overall, I really liked my quick meal.

The patio! First time here. We heard a lot about this place so why not try some.

We came to get a pizza to go! It's fantastic and yes we found a new place that's going to go our go to pizza joint!! A little pricey but worth it!

I had heard good things about this place from an out-of-town guest who's been to another location, so I was excited to try it. Sadly, I've now tried this place twice and I am not impressed. The pizza is expensive and instead of being better than average, I feel like it somehow is worse than average. Yes, they have some upscale ingredients (like that smaller pepperoni that curls up) and yes, they have more options like NY style and Detroit style pizzas and many flavors, but the pizza just hasn't been anything to write home about. Beyond the flavor, the pizza wasn't even a good texture, as if it's been sitting around for too long (which it generally has unless you get a whole pizza). I only had a small bite of the Detroit style pizza but my lunch guest said it kind of tasted like just some cheese on fluffy bread...not a ringing endorsement. The counter to order is small and the service is friendly, but there's barely indoor seating. The outdoor seating has been really hot both times I was there, so maybe that's part of what I didn't enjoy about the experience. Anyway, I'm glad there's some people who like this place but it's clearly not for me. UPC on University is more my style.

Pizza was good. Slices are big and the special is a decent deal. It's a bit pricey in my opinion for a single slice but if you're craving a thin NY style slice, I would recommend you try the out.

Visited Slice House recently. You order and they have a few places to eat inside, outside or to go, and it has a very casual atmosphere. They have a plethora of full size pizzas (and some that are very unique combinations) as well as about 9 choices to purchase by the slice. Slices vary between $6.50 - $7.50 each. I ordered the Sweet Gino and it was really good. You can also add dried herbs or hot pepper oil when your order comes out (I did both) and purchased two bottles (they are small) of their hot pepper oil. They also have a few bottled drinks as well as a fountain drink station (Pepsi products). Overall, this place was a good experience and I'll probably come back to try another slice or two.

I ordered the Motörhead pizza and it was HUGE definitely enough to share, which I appreciated. The pizza itself was solid, but nothing that really stood out flavor-wise. The cashiers were polite and had great customer service. They even gave me a heads up that ordering the wings would add about 15-20 minutes, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, the wings were a letdown. They tasted like frozen, air-fryer wings you'd make at home not what I was expecting from a pizza spot. They do have a nice outdoor seating patio, which I was enjoying while eating. However, someone was walking around panhandling and asking people for money, which kind of took away from the overall experience. Overall, decent for the portion size and service, but I'd probably skip the wings next time.

Hot honey Sicilian - skimpy on the toppings

I really did want to like this place.... I really did but this was not it for us. Great location in the Canyon Crest area with nice outdoor seating, this is a cool place to chill and enjoy some pizza with friends and family. We came on a busy friday night, so I can understand the wait. This was my first time and I'm not sure why the staff couldn't answer my questions. I asked what they recommended... the ny slice or the Detroit or Sicilian but the person at the front only told me the difference between NY and a square slice??? Like uhhh obviously I know the difference LOL. I didn't want to hold up the line so I ordered the detroit style hot honey. However, the dude at the front put in sicilian style when I specifically asked for detroit and I didn't notice until we got our order. This was all before the food and it just wasn't a good start. I didn't want to be a fuss for a busy night so we just stuck with the sicilian style hot honey. When the pizza came, it was nice and fresh. HOWEVER, they were extremely skimpy on the portions. There was not enough sauce, cheese, pepperonis, and sausages. It was like a whisper of sauce. Also there was nothing hot about it. It tasted like regular honey on top. The dough did have a nice chewy texture but the flavor reminded me of pizza hut... which isn't a good thing. For this to be $38, this just didn't hit for us. The wings were okay but nothing really special. I understand this place is new and probably still needs to work a few things out... starting with the people in front. We'll probably give this place another shot but only if friends really want pizza. I really did expect better, especially coming from a place that has a celebrity chef name attached to it.

Visited @slicehouseinlandempire for lunch today. Service was wonderful. I was immediately greeted by a friendly woman behind the counter. I tried the Wise Guy and Hot Honey pizzas. Both were good, however I felt the hot honey was the superior pizza despite the other pizza having a tasty spicy Italian sausage and dollop of cheese. All in all, it was a good lunch. I'd recommend ordering a whole pizza. It's made hot and fresh. The pizzas they had available to buy by the slice did not look nearly as appetizing since they had been sitting out.

I think I'm in love! Canyon crest is one of my favorite local shopping/dinning plazas and the revamp they have done here is unreal. They refreshed the whole area with some new anchor restaurants to add to the older established ones and every place I try I love! Here you can order by the slice or entire (giant) pizzas and sides. They have NY & Chicago style pizza options. We came for lunch and I was shocked how quickly the process was from start to food! Order at the counter (good lucking picking which slice to get they all look so good) and then not even 5 minutes later food is done. Some kitchen magic happens in their convection oven because it is hot all the way through in seconds! I barely had time to fill my soda and sit down before my slice was out! They have a weekly specialty menu for the NY and the Chicago style as well as the standard options. So yes I did come two days in a row because I wanted to try the bbq chicken pizza after how good the chicken bacon ranch was. There was literal whole pineapple slices on my bbq chicken pizza if that doesn't tell you genuinely massive size of this pizza! Both of my slices were of the NY style and the crust is cooked perfectly and had a nice crunch to it. The toppings are so fresh and perfectly balanced. The pizza was not overly sauced so you can actually taste all of the things together. This place is a total win. Limited searing inside but why would you want to sit there when there is an outdoor patio with umbrellas right outside the door and on the other side there is a fountain!! I can't wait to try all of their flavors!

    Very generously sized slice!
    Heather G.

My only complaint is the slice needs slightly more sauce! Great lunch value-a LARGE slice and a coke for less than $10. Service is fast and friendly. Outdoor patio had fun music playing and wasn't too crowded. Lots of people hanging out reading, chatting after finishing their food al fresco.

However, it was noticeable that she was spending much more time on the phone and behind the bar than tending to the tables, which contributed to the slow service. Unfortunately, her attitude also came across as beyond rude at times. Our appetizer (which consisted of solely a basket of bread) came out long before the entrees, leaving a significant gap between courses. I was also surprised that there were no paper menus with descriptions of the dishes. (Apparently their menu can change 3-4x per day??) We had to Google several items ourselves to figure out what they were before ordering, since the server was nowhere to be found a majority of the time; which made the experience less enjoyable. I got fettuccine alfredo with broccoli, my wife got the mushroom artichoke fettuccine with their marinara. One of us got the italian bread and the other the garlic, so we could try both. Portions were pretty good, not enormous but definitely enough. The sauces were good, and the vegetables and pasta itself were all cooked to perfection. Can't say it was an unforgettable-tasting meal, but was at least as good as other restaurants nearby. Our waitress said she was relatively new, but she was very attentive and we never felt like it was hard to get her help or attention. Wish I had gotten her name to pay her a more formal compliment. It also happened to be one of their spaghetti special days, and $9.99 spaghetti with salad and bread is a great value. When we do come back it'll definitely be on another special day. Can't think of another Italian place nearby with the same portions for that price. My one and only complaint- I felt like the music was a HUGE missed opportunity. We went seeking cozy, and the old style booths provided a bit of that, but they were playing current country music hits the whole time. Would have totally completed the package and checked every box had they played something a little more on-theme. Nothing wrong with country music, but in a small, cozy italian restaurant, it would've been so much more immersive to play something Italian, or at least classical. Don't skip the good food and prices because of that, but hopefully a helpful suggestion to make the place just a little bit cooler!

We began with handmade meatballs and a Caprese salad featuring heirloom tomatoes and burrata mozzarella, both appetizers were fresh and full of flavor. For our main courses, I had the lasagna and my friend ordered the spaghetti Bolognese, both were cooked to perfection with rich, comforting flavors. While the food earned a solid 4 out of 5, the service was a bit inconsistent, likely due to the holiday rush, so I would rate it a 3 out of 5. The staff did correct a mix-up and even gave us an extra piece of tiramisu and cappuccinos to go. Afterward, we took them to the park as the fireworks began at Mount Rubidoux. The ambiance of the Mission Inn gave the evening a classic, European feel, so I would give it a 4 out of 5. Overall, it was a memorable evening filled with great food and a wonderful atmosphere. We will return. Bon appétit, ¡Buen provecho, Buon appetito, Guten Appetit, enjoy!

Food was good but I don't feel good enough to justify the prices. $27 for spaghetti and meatballs. Spaghetti sauce was plentiful but bland. Meatballs were much tastier. I don't think they cooked the meatballs in the sauce, which would have enhanced the flavor of both. It's a nice and fun place to try but I wouldn't put it on regular rotation.

My grandkids love it here, and honestly, that's what matters most to me…read more This restaurant has been around for over 25 years, and it's filled with memories for our family. I remember bringing my own children here when they were young, and now I get to continue that tradition with my grandchildren. No, it's not high-end Italian dining, and it doesn't try to be. What it does offer is a family-friendly atmosphere, comforting food, and a place where kids are genuinely excited to visit. My grandkids love the butter pasta just as much as I do, and it's always a guaranteed win when we dine here. We recently stopped by after their school recital, and they were absolutely thrilled when we were seated in the trolley. Their excitement alone made the visit memorable. The staff was friendly and welcoming, service was prompt, this location tends to be quieter than many family restaurants, which made it easy to relax and enjoy our meal. For me, this place isn't just about the food it's about the memories and the spumoni ice cream . Watching my grandchildren enjoy the same restaurant that my children loved years ago is something I treasure. We'll definitely continue coming back for years to come

Extremely disgusting, the manager offer to replace our food with something else but my appetite was gone and my stomach was feeling kind of weird. Tasting the chicken like that it actually ruined the whole experience. Also, we order meatballs, they were not tender like they are supposed to be. Would I recommend this place? NO! I think there are better places with better food than here. As I was typing this here at the restaurant, my wife just informed me that her lasagna was not good either, the pasta was over cooked and mushy (my wife replace her chicken parm for lasagna). Funny thing is that while we're waiting to get a table an older gentleman told us "this is the shittiest food I ever had" my wife and I looked at each other and laugh because we did not believe him but he was 10000000% right. PS The manager tried to blame me for not liking the chicken, but how can I like something that half was really tender and the other have was not? She said, it all depends on the customer's preference! Really lady? I had two different texture in one piece of chicken. I am 46 years old and I have eaten a lot of chicken in my life so I know when something is not right. Accountability is very important instead of trying to blame the customer.

The meat and cheese were fresh as well. - Hot Pastrami Sandwich 8/10 The pastrami was good but I feel that the bread needed to be toasted. Other than that it was good. Unfortunately, each one declined over time until it eventually closed, leaving just one location standing. After this visit, it's easy to see the writing on the wall. We were seated, and when our server came to take our drink order, we ordered our food at the same time to save time. There were only three other parties in the restaurant, and one had already been served. Despite that, it took 50 minutes for a single large hand tossed pizza to arrive you heard it 50 minutes for a hand tossed not a deep dish but hand tossed. I eventually had to flag down the only waitress to ask what was taking so long because we had a movie to get to. To top it off, we weren't offered drink refills until after we had finished our meal. The pizza was enjoyable, but the service was painfully slow and inattentive. It was a frustrating experience that reminded me of the long waits and lackluster service you'd expect at Shakey's, not the Romano's I remember.
