I think that I'll just order from here exclusively from now on if nothing else but because of the service. I placed a pretty big order via DoorDash (I didn't realize that party pizzas were HUGE, I thought they were normal size large) and the gentleman probably had some trouble getting to my place due to gates. Two huge pizzas and two bags with other items on top of it. He was so kind regardless of his probable struggle. I noticed that two two-liters of soda haven't arrived and the DoorDash app's ONLY option was to cancel the whole order. I didn't want to cancel the whole order as that would take away the store's revenue and my nice driver's tip so I called the store. I asked them if they could just remove the soda from the order but they insisted that they bring them to me. The two people I talked to on the phone were once again SO nice. A driver named David came to bring the two soda bottles and yet again I was met with kindness even though it was probably a pain to drive just for some soda. Believe what others say, pizza is mainly crust, no topping are put on the pizza. Im not exaggerating. There was like 5 pieces of Canadian ham on the whole pizza. The kicker to that is I ordered sausage but got Canadian ham/bacon instead. Not great pizza. Service is definitely lacking. Pizza is very mediocre. This *used* to be my favorite pizza place in Riverside, however, tonight changed that permanently. We called and ordered at 8:18pm. They said it would bee about an hour. That was fine for us. If it's now 10:02p.m. and we still do not have our pizza. I called at 9:27 and they said it was on the way to us. They called me back at 9:28 and said it was coming out if the oven, so it would be hot and fresh for us. I just called back at 9:55p.m. and the guy on the phone was kind of rude and ended up hanging up on me. So I called back and when I told him he hung up on me he said, "oh I thought we were done." Then he got pissy and I told him you know, we ordered at 8:18 and he got snotty, so instead of saying anything that I might regret, I hung up. Extremely Disappointed - Poor Management and Customer Service To the owner of Marcello's Pizza: You may want to seriously reconsider who you're entrusting to represent your business. The individual currently managing your restaurant displays an alarming lack of professionalism and basic customer service skills. On multiple occasions, I have experienced rude, dismissive, and outright mocking behavior from this manager. Rather than addressing customer concerns with respect and maturity, he resorts to belittling remarks and a condescending tone. In one instance, when I requested his name to formally report the incident to ownership, he responded mockingly with, "Service," and then slowly and patronizingly spelled it out: "S-E-R-V-I-C-E." This kind of behavior not only reflects poorly on him but on the entire establishment. This manager appears unable--or unwilling--to de-escalate situations or foster a welcoming dining environment. Frankly, it raises serious concerns about the overall work culture and values being upheld here. Even more troubling is the apparent disregard for basic health code practices. There are visible hygiene concerns, such as food handlers not wearing proper protective coverings like beard nets. My partner and I have also witnessed flies on their pizzas in restaurant. If this is what's visible to the public, one can only imagine what happens behind the scenes. With this kind of toxic management and questionable cleanliness, it's difficult to have confidence in the safety of the food or the integrity of the business. This is a good spot for your average pizza, especially since it's very close to UCR. I'd say it's better than places like Domino's and Little Caesars, and you get a pretty good-sized pizza for a reasonable price. They have a wide variety of options, and I really enjoyed their pizza. Definitely would return. Service was great and really nice people too. It gives the vibe of a old time pizza place. read more

Extremely Disrespectful Management - Lost a Loyal Customer I've been a consistent customer of Marcello's Pizza for quite some time and have even placed large, bulk orders for events--giving them what I'd consider strong, regular business. Unfortunately, my recent experiences with one of the store managers have been so negative that I will no longer be ordering from this establishment. The manager in question has been consistently rude, unaccommodating, and frankly, hostile in his communication. On my most recent call, he mocked me in a strange voice and was openly disrespectful. The interaction was so unprofessional that I had to hang up mid-conversation due to the verbal abuse. When I called back to ask for his name, he refused to provide it and sarcastically told me his name was "customer service." This isn't the first time I've experienced this behavior from him, but it will certainly be the last. No customer deserves to be treated this way--especially not one who has supported your business repeatedly. I've never written a review like this before, but I feel it's necessary to warn others. Marcello's has lost a loyal customer, and I would caution others who expect even basic professionalism when placing an order. read more

This is by far the best buffalo "kickin'" chicken pizza I have ever had. We rarely get anything else but last time they accidentally made the Alfredo pizza for us and when THEY discovered the error they gave us both pizzas without extra charge. And a really nice guy brought the pizza out to our car. We were pleasantly surprised by the Alfredo pizza and may find ourselves getting that sometimes in the future. read more

I've been looking for a good pizza place in this area for a while but haven't quite got my fix just yet! Within the first bite I thought this might be it but after some more chewing I realized how incredibly salty the pizza is. You could hardly taste the sauce because the cheese is overpowering and salty. I had even asked for extra sauce but unfortunately it just felt like I was chewing chunks of salt. Their wings were delicious though, I feel like they were well worth it. Not everywhere has great wings so I was impressed by theirs! Their service was good/fast. It seems to be a popular place in our area. My hope is that they change their pizza, it was probably the cheese that was that salty maybe if they change it, it would be a really good pizza to have. read more

Thirteen or so years ago I probably would have given this pizza joint a 2.5 star review, so un-imressionable was the pizza, possibly had them twice, that I really gave them no thought other than than general avoidance. That all changed when a supervisor told my team she was buying us all a large with three toppings for being so competent and as a special reward. I almost waited too long to cash in but I'm glad I did! I didn't remember so many options back when, maybe they've come around I thought? Ordering over the phone was easy and what I couldn't find on their menu, namely crust options, was explained. The garlic butter sounded good, especially since we ordered our default standard: pepperoni, sausage, and mushrooms. Be ready in 15-minutes, about the time to get dressed and drive over. Everything hit on the numbers, pizza just left the oven when I walked in. Seeing as how it was free I tipped accordingly. At home we were excited, the presentation was perfect and the gf sautéed some bell peppers and red onions to augment the toppings. Overall, my reacquaintence was favorable and can say everything tasted fresh, the sauce has a slightly sweet aspect I liked and most importantly, it tasted fantastic with an Italian Sangiovese wine! read more

Always so good and consistent. It's a drive for us so we usually order through a third party delivery service (and we too extra for it! Promise!) but it's so worth the drive when possible. I ordered chicken Parm dinner. The end of the spaghetti noodles were burnt, the chicken Parm was soggy, and I'm not even sure if I was eating chicken as a huge chunk of it was rubbery and felt that synthetic. I ordered a cheese pizza and ask them to add pepperoni because I do not see an option on the menu for pepperoni pizza, which is crazy to me. I received the pizza without pepperoni, it was overdone, and the sauce is extremely salty. I tried this place before and thought it was decent enough to order again, but I guess I was wrong. Blaine St, Marcello's After 20+ years of ordering from here, tonight was my last order. The delivery driver brought the pizza's and both had all the cheese & toppings slid to the left. Called and spoke to the manager who seemed upset that I was upset about my order. I told the manager I would like a refund for the 2 pizzas and he refused and his tone was confrontational and said he will give us 2 free pizzas in the future. I told him I do not not plan to order from here again, due to his tone and how he decided to handle this, then he snapped and said forget your credit then. Those garlic chicken wings were so good I was suckin' on the bones and scraping every last minute shred of meat and dripping marrow lipids I could from every last one. And y'all SERVED up that garlic sauce on the wings; we used a spoon to smear the extra sauce on the pizza crust, and it was so bomb that Homeland should be investigating it for being sus as hell. I don't normally eat crust, but here?, the crust was a magical steamboat, forged from hopes and dreams to carry the promise of flavor salvation... that garlic sauce was seriously wonderful. Oh, it was also the best BBQ chicken pizza I've ever had. And let me tell you what's good; I have eaten at Vegas restaurants where they dish up the best pizzas on the planet. But nah, that lobster pizza at the Luxor was legit... but this was Vegas-worthy BBQ chicken pizza. The ingredients at this place are actually prepped properly. No giant mushroom chunks that become slimy and chewy. Nah meng, just like the onions and all up ons, toppings are MINCED here to allow the delicious fats and greases from the cheeses to soak up between their crevices. Seriously, I have never had a bad pizza from here. Also the only good place to get anchovies on pizza here, even though I'm the only one who likes them. Sometimes the teenage staff are kinda "eh" in attitude but we were all teenagers once, so chill the hell out on these kids. They make bomb-ass pizza under well-maintained management. And let me tell you, I've been in the US Air Force when I was a younger man, and I would gladly take homeboy running this pizza haus over any of my superiors I had in the service. I've been told by colleagues that Marcello's is very good so I decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did, they have one of my favorite pizza toppings; cashews. The dough wash good and slightly chewy which is a plus. I enjoyed my pizza and also the potato wedges. I will be going back for sure. The owner is also great and super friendly. I came into the store a few days ago to place an order for a party today. 2XL pizzas which are supposed to have 32 slices for $25. They ended up giving my husband 2 large pizzas (12 slices each) and charging him the $25. When we called to let them know of the mistake they said our order of the XL pizzas was still there for pick up. When my husband returned they said they would have to make him 3 more large pizzas to equal what we wanted and we would have to pay $14 each new pizza. Even though they said our pizzas were still there and they made the mistake of giving us the wrong order. So an order that was originally supposed to cost us $25 was going to end up costing us $67. Needless to say in the end We went elsewhere for the rest of the pizzas. They were Soo unprofessional and didn't even own up to the mistake and fix it they wanted us to pay way more for their mistake . read more
