Alfredo with a candle stuck to his head!!
Audrey F.

BEST RESTAURANT we have been to in America in YEARS. Get ready for a whole authentic Italian EXPERIENCE. The place was busy when my husband and I walked in, but they managed to fit us in and we're SO GRATEFUL they did! Our server Gioia was the most smiley, gracious gal and was super fun and easy to talk to! The owner Alfredo is a classic Italian entertainer, who serenaded a special lady on her birthday while we were there--we could not stop laughing about the candle he stuck onto his bald head!! Also, check out the bathroom...that's all I'll say When the food came, BOYYYY were we in Heaven! I ordered the Risotto ai Funghi while my husband ordered the Chicken Marsala. I would eat that risotto as my LAST MEAL ON EARTH, it was so melt-in-your-mouth DELICIOUS! And my husband downed his meal like his life depended on it...it's safe to say he was a BIG FAN! Plus their focaccia was *chef's kiss*...We learned that they make everything from scratch, so go to this restaurant not just to eat and leave but to DINE with great company and enjoy the time spent at this little pocket of Italy in America.

Love this!!! Authentic Italian restaurant. Loved my dish. Beautiful ambiance as the pianist plays while we dine. The owner was fantastic. Treated everyone like family! Lots of locals and repeat customers.

We had Mother's Day lunch here. It was a little fun trying to find it because it's tucked in a corner by the movie theater but it was well worth it. It's a family owned and operated restaurant. The ambiance is cozy, very Italian and just overall comfortable. The owner was very attentive, funny and just a very cool character. Now let's talk about the food. Wow. Everything that we got was absolutely delicious. I mean flavors were popping. The chef who is also the owners wife, knows Italian cuisine but then she's Italian so it's authentic. Like no Alfredo sauce because that's not Italian. You learn something new everyday. The fettuccine is made with a lobster cream sauce. The food came out piping hot which I absolutely loved. Hey, I like my food hot when it's supposed to be hot. This place has definitely taken over as my number 1 spot for authentic Italian cuisine. Oh and make sure you visit the restroom, you'll see a very interesting picture of the owner on the wall lol. 10 out of 10 I highly recommend.

My 60th Birthday Party at Con Amore! The owners and staff are AMAZING!!!

My husband and sister threw me a surprise BDay party for my 60th. The staff and the owner and his wife were AMAZING! The BEST ambiance and food! Such an amazing birthday celebration from beginning to end!

There's genuinely no words I can use to describe how incredible this restaurant is. I've put off coming here for years because I've been so let down by other local businesses making flavorless, bad quality food. I regret the years I've missed out on eating at this place. I came with my husband, and then came back a few days later with my mom and sister because I wanted them to taste how incredible the food was. The olive oil is practically oozing out of the focaccia bread. The pasta absorbs the flavors of the sauce as it's meant to. The desserts have the perfect amount of sweetness. If you're someone who genuinely loves quality and flavor in their food, Con Amore is unbeatable. The vibe is so versitile. Date night, meetings, hanging out with friends, or simply wanting to grab a bite to eat, whatever you want. The food takes a bit to come out but it's because everything is made from scratch. Do they run out of things? Yes, because they make everything from scratch. It is rare to find a place that focuses on quality and not quantity and I love this about them. Does it take a little bit longer to get a server's attention? Yes, but it's not because of laziness or poor customer service. The employees are very kind and are constantly on the move. I don't have one complaint about Con Amore.

My company comes here for dinner every year as the owner Alfredo is a fantastic host. He's so funny and friendly. Food is amazing and feels like it's a home cooked meal. I didn't know what to get as my main course and he chose a sea bass dish that was excellent. Great wines and in the charcuterie board had special olives that paired well with the wine. Highly recommend and would frequent more often if this was close to home

They were able to accommodate a party of 8 and attended each one of us respectfully. The staff was able to explain many of the dishes and even recommended some to us as well, which was extremely helpful. Overall cute place with a nice bar to have a glass of wine.

Good pasta. Love loved the risotto and the ragu. Both were perfectly cooked and had great flavor. The chicken piccata was okay. The house bread can honestly can be a ton ton better. It tastes very generic and store bought. The service was great. A little slow but it's an italian restaurant so I always think that's a given (you all should try eating in Italy and get stuck eating 3 hour dinners) it's a cute quaint place. It's quiet and feels like you're in a small town. Cute for dinner dates.

Con Amore is hands down the most authentic Italian food around the Corona area. Alfredo and his family have completely elevated doing a date night at the Crossings and they are wonderful, kind hearted people. We make sure to come here for special occasions and date nights without the kids - and each time my wife and I go here, he personally greets us and remembers us like we go there every week. Highly recommend the Salmon dish or the gnocchi paired with a light Italian beer or red wine. Thank you Alfredo (and all the staff) for making every dinner here memorable and special.

First time here. I would want to ordered something and they were out. Or it was different product from the menu. Waited 30 minutes for a waiter to come to my table to take my order. Waited an hour for my food to arrive. Such a disappointment. Definitely not returning. They need more staff to accommodate their small restaurant. The food was okay. I have had better pasta. But not worth my wait.

How do I give a million stars??? The owner Alfredo transported me right back to the Amalfi coast! The hospitality, the ambience, the love put in his dishes!!! Simply worth every dime. I can truly say this is what I craved the experience the burst of flavor, fresh ingredients. A real gem. You won't be disappointed! I'll be back soon!!!!

Is it a family friendly restaurant?

Yes

I've called atleast 10 times in the last two days to try to make a reservation and no one answers and there is no way to leave a message or email. How do you communicate with your customers?

This is extremely annoying! I’ve called as well and get a voicemail message saying they don’t take voicemail messages! Horrible!

Do they offer Espresso Martinis?

They do not have a full bar. Only beer and wine

Do you still sell Four Cheese Gnocchi? It looks so great in pictures but the menu appears to only have gnocchi with speck or in bolognese

Yes we do have the four cheese gnocchi, however our menu does change daily.

Can you place orders for takeout?

No, they don't take to-go orders

Are they Open sundays?

They have been

Does this place do corkage if you bring in your own wine?

Yes! Our fee is $20.

Do they have fettuccine Alfredo?

Yes they do and it's great

I hope not! It would keep me from ever returning if they were. Go to the Lazy Dog

Can I bring wine and pay corkage fee?

Yes! Fee is $20

Is there a private room for party of 20-30? Is there a fix menu for big parties and how much per person including tax and tip?

No private room but we did a party of 20 ans just took up the whole patio lol and no fix menu. The menu is limited right now with covid anyway I believe.

We do offer gift certificates, we have ones for $25-100, however we can customize the value to your needs!

I really like the chicken parm, it was light and the sauce was flavorful without being too strong. I thought the pizza was okay, extremely cheesy and dry. I would have enjoyed a saucier pizza, the cheese was very overwhelming. The service was very fast and friendly. Checked in on us multiple times and made us feel comfortable. It was a good dinner!

But that is about it lol My mom loves the bread and oil that they give you. It is freshly baked and delicious in the oil. The ambiance was nice and quiet- verrrry quiet! It was empty on a Saturday. The food though, very mediocre. I have been to this location a few times in the past. Mostly, because someone else wanted it. Not on my own volition. Yet again, I found myself coming here, not by my choice lol But I thought, okay- just have an open mind. Did that and was not impressed. I ordered the simple salmon, added broccoli, and mashed potatoes on the side. The salmon was all right, very bland. The broccoli was fine. The potatoes had the skin on them and were not flavorful at all. I ate all my food because I was starving. But it was unsatisfying overall. My dad had stomach cramps right after we ate. My mom did not finish her food, so that tells you something. Overall, pretty lackluster.

The service was terrible, we couldn't even grab our waitress to refill our water. We had to ask someone else to bring us utensils and napkins, we were only given 2 sets for 4 people. When our appetizers were served, some of the food was spilled onto the table. The food was not as good as it used to be. The starter plate had calamari, mozzarella sticks and fried zucchini. Two of us got salads with our entrees, and the other two got soup. Parts of our salad were spilled onto the table while it was served which was disappointing. The minestrone was salty. The wedding soup was ok. The tricolored tortellini with sun-dried tomato sauce was oily. In the starter entree (chicken parm, lasagna and fettuccine), flavor was ok. The shrimp ravioli seemed the best. The chicken marsala was served seemingly drenched in oil. The worst part, for a party of 4, after we received our bill, our waitress tried auto-adding 25% gratuity to our bill and was disappointed when we asked her how to change the tip. I understand tipping while eating out and doing so appropriately but we were a table of 4, and on top of that we had terrible service and food spillage. Most restaurants charge 18-20% for larger parties, and again, we were a party of 4. If we hadn't paid attention to the bill, we would not even have noticed the auto gratuity of 25%. Other tables, either small or bigger, had better service than we did. Highly recommend being detail oriented when paying your bill. I used to love this place but was not at all happy with our recent experience.
