My wife picked this spot for our anniversary dinner. We agreed we wanted a cozy place that we hadn't tried before. The food was pretty good. I got fettuccine alfredo with broccoli, my wife got the mushroom artichoke fettuccine with their marinara. One of us got the italian bread and the other the garlic, so we could try both. Portions were pretty good, not enormous but definitely enough. The sauces were good, and the vegetables and pasta itself were all cooked to perfection. Can't say it was an unforgettable-tasting meal, but was at least as good as other restaurants nearby. Our waitress said she was relatively new, but she was very attentive and we never felt like it was hard to get her help or attention. Wish I had gotten her name to pay her a more formal compliment. It also happened to be one of their spaghetti special days, and $9.99 spaghetti with salad and bread is a great value. When we do come back it'll definitely be on another special day. Can't think of another Italian place nearby with the same portions for that price. My one and only complaint- I felt like the music was a HUGE missed opportunity. We went seeking cozy, and the old style booths provided a bit of that, but they were playing current country music hits the whole time. Would have totally completed the package and checked every box had they played something a little more on-theme. Nothing wrong with country music, but in a small, cozy italian restaurant, it would've been so much more immersive to play something Italian, or at least classical. Don't skip the good food and prices because of that, but hopefully a helpful suggestion to make the place just a little bit cooler! read more

Based on personal recommendations from friends, and recent ratings from my fellow Yelpers, I decided to give Pietro's another chance after a poor experience a few years ago. I dropped in for a lunch special - two pieces of combination pizza and a salad. The salad was simple but pleasant, consisting of iceberg lettuce, cucumber, cherry tomato and croutons plus my choice of blue cheese dressing. I don't think the dressing was house made, but it was decent. The pizza was the big surprise. The slices were enormous! They were approximately 12" long and about 7" at the top. The toppings were ample, fresh, and included pepperoni, Canadian bacon, sliced sausage, onion, black olives and green pepper. The bottom crust was delightfully crisp as you can only get when you eat in-house. With a soft drink added, the bill was just less than $20. A pretty good deal considering that I'll get an extra meal out of that second piece of pizza. My server was reserved, but very nice, and the food came out quickly. The ambience was basic with comfy booths. I don't think it's changed much since they opened many years ago, although I have been told that there is a new owner these days. Pietro's had has redeemed themselves in my eyes and for that reason I have deleted my previous bad rating. I'll be back sometime soon to try some pasta. read more

I've been going to the gym next door for almost 10 years and somehow never tried this place. Finally gave it a shot because they have a daily special: two huge slices and a salad for $9.99, which is a great deal. I'm not really a salad person, so I didn't eat much of it, but the value is solid. The pizza was just OK -- not great, not bad. There's also a spaghetti special I want to try next time. If I'm on a budget and craving pizza, I'd come back. Definitely had better, but still decent for the price. read more

The salad was refreshing with the homemade Italian dressing. The appetizers were a good choice and the main dish was fantastic. Excellent local Italian spot. We tried the small calzone and the baked ravioli. Both were cooked to perfection. The small calzone is big enough for 2 people. I love their way on how they make it. No marinara sauce, sauce is on the side! It is cheesy. The way it is made like this makes it not soggy and not super acidic! The baked ravioli was cheesy goodness. I tried the meat and the cheese, I ordered half and half. They were very hot and yummy. It came with about 6 pieces of ravioli. It was very hot. I definitely would order both again. This place is solid. They need to up their cocktail game and customer service. We wanted to order a cocktail but they only offer beer and wine (which is fine saves me money lol). Pietro's is my go-to for Italian food! I usually order pick-up on my busy evenings for dinner and they have not disappointed. It was exciting to try the cuisine in person this time. Parking: it's pretty easy to find parking and I really enjoy its location at the Brockton Arcade. So many amazing shops in this one small place. Selection: We were very pleased with our last visit as it was a farewell to friend moving out of state. Our friend is vegetarian and we had a hard time picking a place, when Pietro's came to mind. We came here for the first time with my parents, who like to frequent this restaurant. The service was very friendly but the food was.... simply not good. My mom got spaghetti carbonara - it had scrambled eggs! The sauce was eggy, and there was the equivalent of bacon bits vs traditional pancetta. I got the shrimp scampi and it was watery/soupy. We had some time to kill prior to checking into our hotel so we looked up "Italian food near me". Pietro's had good reviews and wasn't too far. Upon pulling into the parking lot I was a little apprehensive. It was lunchtime and no cars in the parking lot. As we entered the lobby we were immediately greeted by the friendly staff and quickly taken to our booth. I don't know what it is about button tufted pleather booths but to me it creates a specific ambience. You know you're going to have a good meal. Our waitress was very pleasant, attentive and knowledgeable about menu items. Pizza seemed a little heavy so I got the pastrami with a banquet beer ($2.99 beer special) and my wife got the Minestrone and a shareable antipasto salad. All items were delicious! There are many made from scratch pasta dishes to choose from. Baked lasagna, beef ravioli, manicotti, etc. We look forward to returning to try the recommended chicken piccata among others. Let me just preface this by saying my family has been going to Pietro's since the 80s. This place is nostalgia for me. I still remember the original owner, an Italian lady with short hair. That being said, this place still does it for me and still tastes pretty close to how it used to. Some things are a little different like the crust and the sauce slightly. But it's still so tasty and the sausage is still SO SO good and unlike other sausages on pizza. Their meat ravioli is delicious too, it's hard to find places that make meat ravioli. This restaurant is tucked away in a small shopping center, and it definitely should not be overlooked. The food is prepared well and is flavorful. We ordered the Margarita Pizza, small calzone, pesto pasta, lemon chicken pizza and a small meatball sandwich. All dishes were delicious! The portions are big so be prepared to have leftovers! My only critique of Pietro's is the slow service. The waitress was very friendly but she was not as attentive to the table as we would have liked (ex: my water was left empty for more than half of our meal). This particular ZA is an American-Italian style (almost NY, not quite... let's say CA.) The eating experience was very nice, it was an extremely filling pizza and only ran me about $20. Comforting atmosphere, friendly hostess, and bar rescue on the tvs. all in all I give this American-style pizza a 7.9/10. Came here for the first time a few weeks ago and was so excited surprised and impressed. We shared actually the dinner pizza slice special and it was first of all super delicious and second super huge and third super cheap! The pizza is so good. It's thin slices so super doughy but not thin crispy. Just perfect. Not soggy or oily. The pepperoni is under the cheese which I love. Came here a second time with my husband and ordered way too much. Got the pizza special again which was a hit for him and got eggplant Parmesan which my son loved and shrimp scampi which had good size shrimp. My husband wouldn't get the shrimp scampi again though because he was expecting smaller shrimp. Usually I go to a place for their eggplant and not pizza. This place I will go for both !
