My pastries; all of them were sooo delicious!

I'm in Palisade for a few days and like I always do, I decided Yelping in this cute wine town. And my very first stop was this quaint bakery, "Slice O Life". This is such a cute bakery. As I was standing in line to get a few to several items (baked goods), a young man came out from the back and asked us (people in line) if we had any espresso oriented beverages we'd need to order. Great customer service as when I got to the register and was picking what I wanted he came back from the back and placed my double espresso right in front of me (great timing because I almost forgot about my espresso!!) I am celebrating my 26th anniversary of being in the U.S. (moved here from Japan on June 8th, 1996!) so I decided to get me three sweet items: Peach Shortbread Cookie, Chocolate Brownie Tart (not sure if this is the exact name of it), and Peach/Lemon bar. They are just the right size that even if I eat them all in one sitting, it will not be a sugar overload. Although I was able to finish the whole cookie, I only took a few bites of the tart and bar. All of them are so delicious! Palisade is a peach country so you cannot go wrong with anything that has peach as an ingredient. Its almost 5-star reviews speak for the shop's popularity. The locals must love this place dearly as if something like this existed in my very neighborhood of DTC, I'd go there at least a few times a week. I highly recommend this place if you are in Palisade for a wine or peach getaway!

Great coffee and pastry. Staying at the Wine Country Inn and wanted some breakfast before getting on the wine trolley.

Lovely bakery in downtown Palisade. Treats were delightful & coffee was perfect. Tons of different things like sandwiches, quiche, Ham & Cheese rolls....Give it a try!

Service was great. Food was good except for the hair in my ginger cookie. Lemon bar was moist.

Adorable little bakery with so many delicious options! Very reasonably priced gluten-free options, which is rare. Highly recommend!

I just had the Jamocha chocolate brownie. It might be the greatest chocolate brownie I've ever had in my 59 years of living. AWESOME

Great stop off the highway Jars of peaches, nuts, candy,…read morefruit, jam, ice cream, pies, pastries, coffee ---what more could u want? I had a giant ginger molasses cookie and it was awesome

I came here back in 2019-2020. I can say it was a lot better then. When I asked the cashier if they…read moreremembered when it was just a stand. They didn't have a clue. So much for knowing who you work for and what they stand for. I feel the upgrade has a nice concept yet it is lacking customer serivce and more staff. I could tell the staff was overworked with the amount of traffic flow. We came when there was a power outage. For the luck of grace it came back on shortly after we checked out. We also order ice cream in the way out and a milk shake. 1st we got a peanut chocolate milk shake that looked more like chocolate milk. Then they got the order wrong it had milk instead of almond milk. Asked for a refund and she said she redo it. I asked kindly to make it more thick. It did not come out anymore thick. She added too much liquid. Looked like the new hire wasn't properly trained in ratio content. Then they forgot to get our bear claw ice cream. We saw a tall lad that was not working and just overseeing the other staff struggle. So sad. As far as the young lady giving out peaches outside in the stand. She looked more like she was ready for the gym than being at work. I can tell you it was offensive to see her in tight leggings. I sure wife's don't appreciate their husbands have free eye candy at a moments turn. We will not be stopping here again. So sad because I would talk about the old little stand from back in the day to everyone and how wonderful it was to go after driving from Denver on the 70. It was a nice treat. Not anymore.
