The Milky Way is a great stop for breakfast! They have a unique ordering system that I actually thought worked really well. Instead of ordering at the register, you write your order on slips of paper they provide, hand it in, and they ring it up. It keeps things moving, and both our food and drinks came out quickly. I ordered the egg frittata, which had good flavor but was just a little dry. The coffee, however, was excellent! The atmosphere is relaxed, and there is plenty of outdoor seating if you're traveling with your pup. There are lots of tables with umbrellas, so it's easy to find a shady spot on a warm morning. Overall, it's a nice breakfast spot with great coffee, fast service, and a dog-friendly outdoor patio. I'd definitely stop by again. read more

We were so excited to see this place open after dinner and a very hot weekend. Flavors were delicious, little shop with trinkets in the back, and also loose leaf tea for purchase! I got the Palisade Peach cobbler crumble (say that 5 times fast) in a cup with sprinkles, a pair of earrings, two post cards, and loose leaf tea, all for $20. Definitely walked out with more than I expected! 4 stars, only because there was just one girl working (who was hustling), while it was super busy. Took about 25 minutes from start to finish which felt a little long. read more

Stopped into The Milky Way for something quick and refreshing and it totally hit the spot. I grabbed a fresh-brewed iced tea (which tasted clean, crisp, and freshly brewed) and a grab-and-go Palisade Kombucha -- perfect combo. I love when places keep quality local options on hand, and everything felt fresh and thoughtfully curated. We stopped at this coffee shop on a roadtrip. The had menus by the door with small tables before you get to ordering counter. At the small tables were little sticky pads that you write your order on. I ordered a latte that had peach flavoring and I got my husband a dirty soda combo that had Sprite and peach in it. We took our order to go, but there was a nice patio in the back with seating, seating inside and a clean bathroom. I also appreciated the little items for sale like jewelry, etc. read more

Road trip treasures come in all different shapes and sizes, and this little ice cream shop is one you have to hit if you're cruising through town. Space themed and appropriately out of this world for ice cream and coffee (had a mocha with agave in it and it was as good as it sounds). read more

Stopped in for ice cream. Owner and son were there. I asked about the peach ice cream and she told me there is no such thing as real Palisade peach made ice cream anywhere in Palisade. I was shocked at her obviously dishonest claim. Probably an attempt to sell her below par ice cream. I left. I've made my own ice cream. I eat in establishments that make their own wild versions of ice cream I.e. Normal in SLC and Haven Creamery in Denver. Palisade peach ice cream is NOT a myth. I called McLean Farms and they do make authentic palisade peach ice cream. Don't think I plan to ever do business here other than the vending machine for the local artists. One star for machine one star for good quality coffee beans. Shameful behavior for an adult. read more

This place is awesome! I've only come for coffee a few times now, but the vibes are spot on. I always get to go but this is a place you can stay and relax. The vanilla lattes are perfect. The prices are exactly what you expect. The service is incredible! I really love coming here and I will continue to stop by to get my fix when I am around. read more

Clearly 5s ... across the board for food, service, and ambiance. Personnel are tops ... friendly and welcoming start to finale. We have started all but 1 Sunday since mid May at Milky Way. We usually have a breakfast sandwich and then later have affogatos later in the day there. I had a delicious omelette today as well as a tasty frittata several weeks ago. There is great seating inside, great outdoor seating on the patio and also under roof out front. There are other menu items, loaves of. Sourdough bread, and also various gift items. My wife and I are Al ways eager to return. read more

This place is so amazing! Such a cute little shop and LOVE the space theme. Their gelato is SOOOO amazing and would definitely recommend! Péche used to be a special place for an excellent dinner out to savor and celebrate, but now it seems to be a table turnover priority, but of course along with high quality food. That hasn't been sacrificed, like the experience has.

On the plus side, each wine is poured fresh and served cold, but it does interrupt the experience. If you're trying to relax outside and take in the view, getting up every few minutes to go back inside becomes a little frustrating. Overall, the beautiful setting and friendly staff made it a great stop, and I'd definitely recommend visiting the main winery.

The vintner was also our bartender he said. He told us alot about the history of him and the place. We learned alot about the produce he had growing as well. Some great business is not always on the main/busy street; hence the expression, "hidden gem". Ken's winery is a hidden gem of Colorado's wine country is an understatement. His wines are not cheap like other wineries' wines so expect pay $5 to $10 more. But once you have tasted the qualities of his wines after a flight, you WILL be convinced to buy a bottle or two.

Walking in, I fell in love with the adorable, retro chic without being too pretentious vibe. The barista was so friendly that I felt like I made a new best friend upon arriving. And I was the first person there. I made a point to get there right after they opened because I was on a road trip, and I needed to get back on the road quickly. So I ordered a quick toast and a Cortado. The coffee came out quickly and was good, and then after 15-ish minutes, I was still waiting for the food, I thought maybe they forgot the order, so I went up to my new bestie and asked them about it, and apparently someone who was supposed to be there to make the food wasn't there yet. That was extremely frustrating. I wish they had warned me in advance that there might be a wait for the food because I would've opted not to order it, but at that point I was committed since going elsewhere would just tack on more time. 20 mins after that, I finally got my toast. Yes, 35 minutes to deliver a toasted piece of bread with some toppings and a small bed of lettuce with blueberries and seeds. At that point, I was bummed cause now my whole day was delayed. Fortunately, the toast was yum, and I know this place is beloved, so I think they just need to make sure they have someone reliable taking care of the food preparation on Sunday mornings. No more Saturday night party people!

No big deal and we were willing to wait. 8:55 still in line one of the workers walks out the back and I hear her say something similar to "what the f**, we close in 3 minutes and we have all these f** people". Wasn't too bothered by it as I get it I've worked in fast food before and it can be annoying when you get a rush right before close. Just thought she should be more professional. Finally we get upfront to order and find out from her they are only doing cups and cones because they "closed 12 minutes ago technically". They wouldn't even let us add any toppings on it. We still enjoyed some ice cream but definitely were disappointed being that we wanted other things and were there almost half an hour before closing. If you're gonna serve the rest of your customers on site before closing at least fully serve them. Also management I would recommend doing some simple coaching with these employees on professionality and such around closing. I get it I've been there myself but you still have to serve the people in your place to the best of your ability before it shuts down. That's just food business.
