This is a great local spot for a pizza, grinder or calzone. I was in the area and stopped by for a quick bite. It's a small and friendly place, my order was taken quickly and 10 minutes later my $8.75 calzone arrived. It was hot and tasty, had sauce and meatballs, and also comes with ricotta cheese. I could only eat half of it. Portions look substantial here, it's not what I'd describe as a light lunch! There is a small inside seating area, and a large and attractive outside area, which must have been a large front yard at one time. I'd be happy to return here. read more

We ordered the Fish & Chips and could not believe it, take a look at that picture. I couldn't finish it all, but heated up it was just as good. Delectable! The Scallops are also yummy. We also wanted Potat Skins, They don't have them. Instead, they have Potato Dippers which are like wedge fries covered in cheese and bacon or broccoli. We are fans ! Food is pretty decent, but service is hit or miss. Have ordered from them quite a few times, they often get orders wrong even after clarifying multiple times. They have been rude multiple times, not very receptive to righting wrongs. Got pizza and fries. Nothing special. The pizza has kind of a weird taste, I think it's the sauce they use. They give you a good amount of handcut fries but they were a little soggy, but they tasted good. Definitely not the best pizza in Oxford, I highly recommend New England Pizza which is right down the street. read more

Not from around here but decided to try this place for food. I originally ordered a Mac-Jack burger amongst my family order. Drove 15 minutes to get it vs waiting the 55 minutes for delivery. When I got home I realized they gave me the wrong burger. They gave me a Macball burger which I would never eat. I called back to let them know they gave me the wrong burger. I appreciate them correcting the error and now delivering my correct order. Unfortunately, the burger was still incorrect. We just came from a Birthday party and they got pizza from Slice of Heaven. I'm not sure how they came up with that name, but Heaven definitely isn't something I think of when I ate this pizza. It was hard to choke down 2 pieces of this pizza. This was formerly Pizza Post Pizza Place and was sold in the last couple years. I don't understand why people buy a successful business and start changing things. It was really good before, loved to go there and sit out on the porch to eat. Didn't know what to expect since Pizza Post that used to be at this location was my favorite pizza of all time. To be honest, if someone had given me this new pizza and hadn't told me they changed owners, I probably wouldn't have been able to tell the difference! I still loved the pizza!! I just found out this place charges an ILLEGAL 4% credit/debit card surcharge. I've been regularly ordering from here for almost two years but today was the first time I actually went in to grab my food. I saw the sign at the counter that says they charge. Once I grabbed my food and got home I called them. I politely asked if they also impose this charge on debit cards and if they knew this was illegal. The guy said yes they charge debit cards too and then hung up the phone on me! I never got nasty with them and I asked because I deserve to know where my money is going. It is illegal here in Massachusetts as well as nine other states to impose a credit card surcharge. It is against federal law in every state to charge a surcharge to a debit card. It is also illegal to charge a surcharge in any state without informing people making a transaction (like when we order delivery). I have never once been told over the phone when ordering my food that I would be charged anything. If this is how their employees treat customers asking a simple question then I will take my business elsewhere. We order from there all the time, recommend this place to others and have defended them on Facebook when others would trash talk this establishment. Never again. read more

However they have started a new practice of charging customers an additional 4% fee if you use a credit card. Apparently they not only haven't realized that this is 2019 and not many people carry cash anymore, but also that it's ILLEGAL in Massachusetts to charge a fee to use a credit card. If this business was so hard up for the fee they should have legally just increased their prices slightly to cover the cost but instead they are blatantly breaking the law. They likely don't realize this- it's illegal in about 10 states, Mass being one of them, but ignorance of the law is no excuse. read more

Actually just ordered a turkey bacon sandwich with no cheese or mayo and got it delivered with mayo and no bacon. I called to let them know (because someone could be lactose intolerant, luckily my bf just hates it) and they legitimately argued with me over the phone that he made it and there was no cheese (but there was mayo that we specifically told him not to put on) and they were extremely rude about it and was said "what do you want me to do? I received a flyer in the mail a while back. I recently found the menu in my menu draw all we figured we'd take a chance an order from a new pizza place around. The menu looked good and offered a little different items our main pizza joint doesn't offer so we took a chance. WOW, what a mistake that was. Fries were soggy, pizza barely had cheese, sauce and was cold. My sub was burnt to a crisp. We immediately called them to explain the situation and was greeted with a wrath of rudeness. This place is extremely unprofessional, I guess the one in Putnam is ran the same way. Both have terrible reviews. Owner doesn't know how to run a restaurant, he thought he'd get rich off it and decided to open a couple pizza joints. Guess what? I wish I could give the a ZERO! My family of 7 ordered a large pizza & subs. Two of them were ordered BLT with mayo & American cheese. Pretty simple right? So when we picked it up An got homeit was just two grinders with bacon.... no lettuce, tomato, mayo, cheese... just bacon & bread. When we called to get two new ones made whoever was on the phone told us he wouldn't make two more because it was "how we ordered them"... REALLY?! The pizza here isn't bad but the service isn't great. I ordered a large chicken bacon ranch pizza here but somehow it was mixed up for a Hawaiian pizza. Obviously I was disappointed due to this but of course I wasn't going to not eat the pizza so I decided to dig in. The pizza wasn't all that greasy which was nice but it still wasn't a delicious chicken bacon ranch pizza. With my pride now gone after downing the last slice of Hawaiian I thought to myself well this pizza isn't all that bad. But don't get your hopes up if you order a chicken bacon ranch pizza because you might end up with a not as delicious Hawaiian pizza. There are lots of things I can say about Slice of Heaven, but I'm going to start it out with saying I really, REALLY love this place, and I'm glad they purchased Pizza Post. Pizza Post was not doing well, and in my opinion, Slice of Heaven is better. After ordering from here several times, I honestly struggle to say anything negative about this place. My first visit was on a whim. There are no more pizza places in Oxford that I'll go to - Carolos uses canned mushrooms, P&D is greasy and the sauce lacks flavor, see my review on New England Pizza for my opinion on that hot mess of a place, and Dairy Express is just a massive pain to get in and out of - so, I had been ordering from Papa Gino's instead. But, I decided I might as well order from Slice of Heaven since it was new and might be good. The phones were crazy busy, so I ended up going there in person to place my order. Now, when Pizza Post was still in business, my weakness was the Hawaiian pizza with cherries so I was ecstatic when I saw that option on Slice's menu. When I can't decide what to order, I always default to the Hawaiian with cherries. I have also ordered the "fryer explosion," which came with all sorts of delicious fried items. After trying that, I frequently order their onion rings. The only thing that would put the onion rings over the top for me is if it had nice strong beer batter. So, since they've opened, I have ordered several different kinds of pizza from them, including the BLT pizza, taco pizza, meatball and mushroom, pepperoni and ricotta gourmet pizza, tomato basil pizza, and of course, the aforementioned Hawaiian with cherries. I have enjoyed each of these very much, and I especially love the sauce that they use on the pizza. It is slightly sweet and has a strong basil flavor, and it is seriously my favorite pizza sauce. The only thing I think this place is lacking is a true "supreme pizza," ex: peppers, onions, mushrooms, meats, etc. I think that would be a really good addition to the menu. Aside from their pizzas, their menu is actually quite large and there is something for almost any sort of craving. I have ordered their burgers which are pretty good, I've ordered grinders from them (the tuna is really good, as is the BLT), and I have ordered chicken wings from them. I haven't had the chance to order pasta or seafood from them, so I can't really speak on those, but I look forward to trying those items in the near future. Their chicken wings are good, there are lots of flavors to choose from and they are pretty meaty. We order the Jack Daniels BBQ almost every time because we really like the sauce. The fried pickles are good, they seem to be a spicy dill pickle, which goes nicely with some ranch dipping sauce. Also, the broccoli bites are fantastic. I wish they had just a little more filling, but I really love the addition of the bacon bits in the broccoli bites. On the staff - the staff has always been super nice and very welcoming every time we order from there. We order delivery and we order for pickup, so we have had a lot of different interactions with the staff, and I feel like they have always been really cool. I wish online ordering was an option, though, as much as I enjoy interacting with the staff. Overall, my entire household loves Slice of Heaven. We will continue to frequent this place, and look forward to trying more items off the menu in the future! read more

We had never been here since they changed it to "Slice of Heaven" and never again! It was on a Friday and since their menu was sent to us in the mail we thought we'd try their fish & chips. My boyfriend walked in and asked for the 2 orders of their fish & chips and the girl turned around and asked the guy "do we have any fish"? Seriously, it's Friday and you have it on your menu. They must have found some fish because they made it up. I got the onion rings because they offered that if you didn't want the fries. The onion rings were burnt and I wouldn't even eat them and the fish was gross also! We both ended up throwing it all out.. what a waste of money. Sites that happened has decent food and trash service I would recommend it to a friend

Last week, we ordered a sausage and mushroom pizza. When my girlfriend went to pick it up she did not check the pizza but she did say 'I'm here to pick up the sausage and mushroom pizza' and this is the one they handed her. that was our mistake. When we got it home, we found that we had a sausage and green pepper pizza. Called up the pizza shop to inform them of the of the problem and they argued with her on the phone that is what she ordered. Despite the fact she confirmed what she was picking up when she went to get the pizza. My girlfriend cannot stand green peppers why would she ordered them? Everybody makes mistakes I understand that, but their attitude and the sarcasm over the telephone tells me that they are not a place that wants my repeat business. Interesting note-- I left a review on Facebook and they must've complained since Facebook took it down. There are five other pizza shops in Oxford, I guess one of them will now be getting my business. read more
