Context: My friend and I live 2 hours away from each other so we like to meet up in the middle. We came here to Dairy Express after spending half the day at a nearby park. I had my dog with me and was looking for some place that had outdoor seating, which was tough since it's kind of in the middle of nowhere (no offense to locals). We sat at one of two outdoor tables, which looked like they aren't typically used. Indeed, the owner peered through the glass at us as if he were surprised that people were actually sitting there lol. Actual review: We split a small carbonara pizza, which had crispy cheese on top. It was cooked perfectly and very tasty. The owner, who sounded like he had a Greek accent, came out to check on us and pointed to the plant pots that were also on the table, which he proudly told us were the beginnings of lemon trees he had grown from scratch. I don't know if they are just having a bad day but the fries were over cooked to the point that a child could chip a tooth. also I ordered a pepperoni and bacon I checked my receipt and I did pay for bacon but there was no bacon. just Be cautious and make sure u check your order before leaving. 9/10/2023 We have been ordering from Dairy Express for awhile now, and even met and chatted with the whole lovely family. It's run by the family. You can either eat in at the counter, plus they have several booths and tables available. We have sampled a lot of their offerings including lasagna, meatball subs, steak and cheese, Italian, BLTs on pita bread which is a personal favorite. Their pizzas are also very good, best in town. They also have beer and wine. They have Seafood . We have had the Scallops which were great. We order fish and chips every Friday which is always fresh, crispy and delicious with crispy fries and fresh homemade coleslaw which is excellent. They advertise fish and chips daily, we have gotten it other days besides Fridays, it's always fresh Salads: We have had the salads a few times, add on or take out what you like, not a problem. I have yet to try their salad with steak tips but I plan on it.. Everything else is always so good. Next on my bucket list. They also have Keno and scratch tickets if you want to try your luck. And, have soft serve ice cream for dessert and delectable Baklava. read more

I was working in town and stopped in for lunch. Picked up a steak and cheese and it was one of the best that I've ever had. My son had the hot pastrami and his was also one of the best he's had. Fish n chips was not as good as expected, but still a good plate. But a great looking restaurant when you walk inside. A little expensive for your run of the mill. Heard it was good on yelp but the batter is not my fav. The filet was very very greasy to the point that the crust of the fish was mushy where it had been placed on top of the fries. The crust completely fell off the fish. It was a big piece of fish I just did not like the way it was cooked. I was given extra tartar sauce and a side of honey mustard but was charged significantly for both. Tartar sauce comes in a pocket. Cole slaw was good. Today I ordered the clam strip dinner and a small pepperoni pizza with extra cheese. I was extremely pleased with the clam strips! They were very crisp and tasted fresh. Fried to perfection! The french fries were also extremely crisp on the outside and nice and pillowy on the inside. I would order from here just for the fries alone, LOL. Very good. Coleslaw was above average and I enjoyed it quite a bit. However this time was different than last time when I ordered the pizza. Last time I ordered pizza it was one of the best pies I had ever had. But this time when I ordered and had asked for extra cheese I noticed that they substituted cheddar cheese instead. It gave the pizza an off-flavor that just wasn't right. When you order pizza you expect either mozzarella or a mozzarella blend. But to have them top the pizza with cheddar cheese was just gross (both of my parents owned pizza restaurants and would never do this. I enclosed a picture where you can see the yellow. That's obviously cheddar cheese). Phone service and delivery service were still very polite. I would still order again but would not order extra cheese on a pizza now that I know that they skimp on mozzarella. This place is NOT GOOD AT ALL. Their large roast beef was maybe 8 inches if your lucky. The eggplant parmesan didn't have any cheese on it and literally 2 pieces of eggplant. Go anywhere but here. Mcdonald's would be an improvement. read more

I don't stop here often because the parking lot is hard to get in and out of. Went today for roast beef subs. I was surprised to find shredded beef rather than slices. Also, the subs had significantly less beef than other shops. The taste was good, I was just a bit disappointed by the amount and the fact that all the beef was on one end of the sub. read more

Ordered from Dairy Express' website on 4/2 and had some troubles getting the order to place. My family was charged (3) instances of $36.30 for these errors. When initially approach about this issue, the owner, John, was not willing to work with us on resolving this matter. It was "not his problem" and he "goes through a third-party payment system." The payment service Dairy Express uses is ediningexpress.com. Unsatisfied with this, we called our bank. They suggested that seeing as how the money clearly left our account and landed in another, that the charges went through and we should be refunded back the money. We told them of our initial phone call with Dairy Express' owner, John, and the bank drafted us a letter, in hopes that John would do the right thing and no action would need to be taken against Dairy Express, by the bank. I personally went to Dairy Express with this letter and a copy of our bank statement detailing these (3) charges, on 4/2. I spoke with John. John insisted that this money never landed in his account and that he would need to talk to "his guy" at ediningexpress.com, to see what could be done. John asked me to leave my number so that he could follow-up with me. On 4/14 having not heard from John, I drove by Dairy Express to see if any progress had been made. John told me that he received a call from a lady stating that (2) of the (3) charges had been returned and that he still did not see where the money had entered his account. Still 4/14 I get home to confirm that no refunds have been received from Dairy Express, no phone calls received from them, and no phone calls were made to them. Shortly after confirming this I gave John one final call to try and work this out. He was not willing to do so. We've been eating at Dairy Express, regularly, for 7 years. We spend on average $35 per order and order 4-5 times per month. This equates to my family being worth $140-175 per month to John and Dairy Express. In a last ditch effort, trying to appeal to whatever sense of business I thought John may have, I offered to settle for a gift card, so that he wouldn't have to give up any cash and we're not out $108.96 in food resources. He declined, adamant that it's not his problem. We will be pursing action against Dairy Express in order to retrieve the funds and will never do business with John Baraklilis, his family (this including N&J Donuts), or the Dairy Express brand, ever again. read more

Never again. I'd been to dairy express a few times since moving to the area and found the food to be decent , but not worth writing home about. Every time I've ordered , the language barrier had been frustrating , but manageable. Today however I stopped in for lunch with my wife - the guy behind the counter as usual took a few attempts but we were polite about it and placed the order. When paying, I noticed him flick the debit card back at my wife. Then in another motion, he flicks a pen at her. I don't know how things are done in the old country, but he was just plain rude. I had an issue with being charged 3 extra times for one order recently - over $100 in multiple charges. When I called the establishment to resolve it - a young woman initially answered the phone. When I explained the issue and asked to talk to the owner, she immediately copped an attitude and called for John (owner). When John picked up the phone he proceeded to tell me that me being charged multiple times by his establishment was "not his problem" (even though my bank statement clearly reads Dairy Express) and then blamed it on his "third party payment system". He then proceeded to speak to me condescendingly and accused me of wasting his time because he "didn't have the money" from the extra charges. I felt incredibly disrespected as a woman being told that I'm "crazy" and that the "extra charges didn't happen". My bank issued a certified letter to him confirming the charges had indeed cleared and he was in possession of the money. He was also given a copy of the charges via my bank statement. He is still refusing to refund and was not even willing to resolve the situation via a giftcard so that food could be compensated for the extra $100+ that was charged by Dairy Express. read more

Family friends always go here. I was hungry at work so i decided to try. First off ... the women answering the phones should know English. If you have to give her delivery directions she cant. you have to speak with someone else. Then she took my order. I got a tuna salad. In the tuna salad there was banana peppers under the slices of cheese on my salad. then i found a few pieces of ham. Very werid. Hidden 5 Star food in Oxford! Exit 4B... Don't let the name fool you! Dairy Express has the best scallops I've ever had. Ya the parking is minimal, park at CVS on Main St and cross at the light. Also, the pizza is to die for. I ordered spinach and feta and they asked if I wanted garlic and tomato on it. OMG soooo good. I am extremely upset with the attitude of the people that work here... I just called to order food and the guy was extremely rude... I asked for delivery and gave him my address and I live in Charlton but my house is only 5 minutes from the pizza place ... the guy immediately said no we are not delivering there... I said I just got delivery a week ago from you he said "idk I'm not a delivery driver.. we aren't delivering to you" I'm disgusted by the way he acted not pleased at all. My family and I frequently stop to eat at Dairy Express, Usually , decent food. However, today my daughter and I were served salads with dirty lettuce. If you've ever gotten sand in your mouth and crunched down on it, this is what it was like. Worst meal ever!!! My family eats here often and we enjoy the food. I had the spaghetti and sausage for the first time here the other day I have to say it was perfect. Just enough sauce and the sausages was so juicy. What a joke, went on a random choice to choose this place since our favorite pizza delivery places are closed on Mondays. Called at 6:00 on a snowy night with expectations that it may take a little while. When the women answered she was very rude. When telling my address she repeated it multiple times like she had no idea what it was. I then ordered a pizza and asked if her Cesar dressing was an oil based or cream she had no idea what I was talking about and then said oh it's creamy. And then I asked how much and how long she said got it and hung up! After 50 minutes went by the pizza was still not here and our home is only 3 minutes from the Restraunt. Maybe we should have just picked up. When calling back the women said "you are not my only customer it will get there when it does" and hung up. When calling back to speak to a manager he laughed and said I'm so sorry I'm going to fire her. Shortly after the pizza arrived and the delivery driver was so kind I informed him to let his boss know how terrible the customer service was and he said oh it was probably the owners wife. I also let him know I would be face booking and yelping the customer service, he agreed with my decision and apologized for them. I tipped him accordingly as it is not his fault. They won't be getting my business again, how rude, I understand you may be busy but when the initial call is made say we are really busy tonight and with weather conditions it may take some time. There is a way to keep customers coming back even if your backed up on service some days. I called this place today and asked if they were looking for drivers and the lady told me yes and then asked me how old I was. And when I told her I was 40 she told me I'm sorry we only hire very young people and then hung up on me. I can't believe after 24 years in the pizza business this is the first time I have ever see age discrimination happen. If they are like this on the phone I can only imagine how it would be to work for them. Looks like I dodged a bullet on that one.
